It is time for episode 39 of the This & That Gaming Podcast and this one is a bumper episode! We have a ton of Nintendo news this time around including the recent Nintendo Direct, new Pokemon game announcements, more Switch upgrade rumours and a firmware update for the….Wii U?? Wait, what? We also have a round up from Sony’s recent ‘State of Play’, more PlayStation games coming to PC, Microsoft rolling out FPS boosts to older backwards compatible games and a ton more. We are joined in the second half of the show by special guest Tim Gadler, aka ‘SegaMasterTim’, who fills us in about his time working as one of Sega’s ‘Game Counsellors’ here in Australia, his recent unfortunate suspension from Twitter and what his plans are going forward. We also take a look back at the absolutely amazing year that 1998 was for video games. Thank you for tuning in and we hope you enjoy the show! Tim Gadler was a Sega Game Counselor in back in the early 1990’s, during the heyday of the Genesis/Mega Drive. Tim shared a lot of great stories with us, including how he got into game counseling, the game that generated the most calls for help, and a Sega magazine cover that was a bit controversial. We appreciate Tim spending time with us! If you have a question for Tim, you can find him on Twitter: @TimGadler. Follow us and share your memories! Welcome to The Heroes Tavern. Grab a beer, pull up a chair and settle in for some game banter and laughs. We've got a bit of a different episode for y'all this week. About a month ago the boys were at the Go Game market and Tim Gadler, formerly of Sega Australia, was there. So they sat down with him for a brand breakdown/interview. A week after that, the boys found themselves at PAX Aus. So they grabbed some interviews with some local indie devs. With @HitThatRowdyy, @SpazRus and @TheBSMuffin.
