We convened at a convention this weekend, and we can tell you about what we've played there including Like A Dragon Gaiden: The Man Who Erased His Name, Sonic Superstars, and a ton of indie games. We've played some of the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 Beta and Forza Motorsport, and Adam's played and loved the language translation adventure game Chants of Sennaar. Speaking of language, I've been avoiding admitting it, but I think it's time: writing those first few words of the description here is the first time I've realised that a convention is called a convention because you convene there. I bet that's why they call it a convent too. What about convenient? Is that related? Time to see how deep the rabbit hole goes.

This week, Jemma has returned from PAX Aus 2023! It was her first convention and she regales us with her tales from the showroom floor, including time with Super Mario Bros. Wonder, Sonic Superstars, Prince of Persia, Fae Farm, and Detective Pikachu. There were also many amazing indie devs present, and it was a pleasure to meet and greet with so many talented people. Meanwhile, Kirk begins our countdown to Halloween, presenting the first of a series of horror titles to inspire us for the season.
