Our entire civilization depends on energy and depends on us making the transition. All the consumption of greenhouse gases by burning fossil fuels are now saturating our environment to the point that we humans are considered the fifth force of nature. We are literally changing the world intensifying weather events due to burning fossil fuels. 3. An excerpt from Ron’s blog on Mother Earth News: Imagine, if you can, living 100 miles deep in the wilderness and not seeing another human being for 6 months at a time. No mail, no toddling off to a 9-to-5 job, no supermarkets or shopping centers, and none of civilization's noise. Nothing but the silence of the forest surrounds you. My wife, Johanna, and I have lived on a remote northern Saskatchewan lake for the last 16 years. We are alone here. Access to us is only by float plane. Prior to this, we homesteaded in northern Maine for 20 years — a total of 36 wonderful years living an off-grid self-sufficient lifestyle. I've written a book titled Off Grid and Free: My Path to the Wilderness. Visit Ron’s blog at: http://j.mp/2aZwZQ2 An excerpt from Off Grid and Free: My Path to the Wilderness: “As far as your eye can see, from the vantage point of a float plane high above the ground, you can gaze upon an aerial tapestry of multi-hued green forest intermingled with jutting rock formations, lowland bogs, and glistening lakes. Exposed rocky hill tops, sparsely vegetated with stunted trees that have managed to gain a tenuous foothold, along with low shrubbery and lichen, are sure signs you are flying over Precambrian shield, a dominant surface feature in the north. Serpentine rivers and streams cut through the landscape, the rivers occasionally flashing a churning white, where rapids lie in wait for the unwary canoeist. All of this is the perfect habitat for wildlife and outdoor adventurer alike." Pick up a copy of Ron’s book on Amazon.com or BarnesandNoble.com.

Karate Kid was released in 1984 and went on to be an all out cinematic classic.  It's a wonderful coming of age martial arts film set in the mid 1980's San Fernando Valley.  Ron Thomas was one of the actors who played a member brutal and iconic "Cobra Kai" karate gang.  His character "Bobby Brown" was known as the one Cobra Kai who actually showed some remorse for what the way Daniel was being treated.  He delivered some of the films most memorable lines in scenes that EVERYBODY forever remembers.  There was "leave him alone man he's had enough" as the skeleton-costume clad bad guys were pummeling Daniel.  Then there was "But Sensei I can beat this guy" during his semi-final tournament match against Daniel.  Ron's character was the one who delivered the cheap-shot that nearly put Daniel out of the competition just before the finals! Ron not only made a name for himself in the entertainment industry, he's had enormous success in the Martial Art industry (He is actually now Sensei Ron Thomas)...successfully competing on the national level for years.  He's a 2-time world champion!  He's also a very successful personal development coach who's put out some great books designed to get people performing at their best.
