Hey everyone, we are cooking for a benefit for Texas EquuSearch at Ronnie's Hog Heaven in Dickinson, Tx. Go to www.texasequusearch.org for more info.
Today's episode is a bit rough. We were experiencing some recording issues and unfortunately this was one of the casualties. We did what we could to fix it, but a lot was lost and this is the best we could get from it. If you have any questions, please feel free to message us and we will let you know what was missed or left out. Today, myself, Randy and Becky discussed some fried chicken wings that we played around with. It's nothing too crazy, but worth a try. It's a very simple recipe that we started on the smoker then ended up deep frying. The batter was very basic and the oil was nothing special. Thanks for listening and enjoy. https://www.facebook.com/2sheetsmokers --- This episode is sponsored by · Anchor: The easiest way to make a podcast. https://anchor.fm/app
In todays episode, we pulled out the scooters and took a trip to Alvin, Tx. Based on a recommendation from the boss, we heard about this place called Smokin D's. Come to find out, this place is AMAZING. It is BBQ fused with Asian style and cuisine. Needless to say we were completely impressed by the food. From the Rice bao bun to the brisket macdilla, this place has some amazing stuff to eat. The atmosphere was chill and relaxed, the beer was cold and the staff was super helpful. I CANNOT WAIT to go back. Enjoy the episode. Here is the best way to describe them, which comes straight off their website "Regular cuisines offer many delicacies, but cuisines born of combinations of those cuisines can often offer even more. Located in Alvin, TX, Smokin D's Bbq Fusion Bar & Grill specializes in the Tex Mex BBQ cuisine and the Asian fusion cuisine along with traditional bbq. Both the Spring rolls and the Brisket Pho are both doable here. Their famous BRISKETMACDILLA are a must try! Cold beer flows all day served by the Amazing bar" Go check them out at https://www.smokindsbbqfusionbargrill.com/home.htm --- This episode is sponsored by · Anchor: The easiest way to make a podcast. https://anchor.fm/app
Jeff and I had a pretty nice relaxing weekend back in October, where it was just he and I cooking. We didn't do anything fancy, just a bit of fun stuff like we used to do back in the day. We ended up making these 2 (actually 3 if you listen to the entire episode) recipes and decide to record and throw them out to y'all to listen to. We only had really one problem with one of the recipes, but overall, they all turned out delicious. Enjoy, Chris and Sidedish --- This episode is sponsored by · Anchor: The easiest way to make a podcast. https://anchor.fm/app
Another AWESOME idea from Nate. This recipe came from Joshua Weissmann (http://joshuaweissman.com) on YouTube and we couldn't believe the results. It is a bit time consuming if you make the dough from scratch like we did, though. We followed his recipe as close as we could, but had to change a few things due to inability to find the items. I'm certain that his version is just as good as ours. You REALLY need to try this one. --- This episode is sponsored by · Anchor: The easiest way to make a podcast. https://anchor.fm/app
This episode slipped by the finger tips and never got edited or added to the collection. This one is from Fathers day 2021. i know, i know, i know....it happens. IM SORRY. We revisited our ribs episode and made the changes that we talked about and it turned out PHENOMONAL. 4 racks with 4 different bases (mustards), but we tried to keep the flavor the same so as to not screw up. From what we talked about (and what little I remember), we used the Fragout flavor Chem-Ops rub and only changed the mustard base. Go check out Frag out flavor and get some of the rubs they offer. It will not be a waste of time or money. Check out https://fragoutflavor.com/ and get in on the action and support our veterans. --- This episode is sponsored by · Anchor: The easiest way to make a podcast. https://anchor.fm/app
SNOWS BITCH!! This entire trip was Nates idea and after almost a year of planning, we FINALLY made it happen. Listen to our epic adventure to Snow's BBQ in Lexington, Tx. Known throughout the entire US as having THE BEST BBQ, we made the trek to find out for ourselves. It was well worth it. Listen to it and make the journey yourself to see. IT'S A "MUST DO" TRIP. --- This episode is sponsored by · Anchor: The easiest way to make a podcast. https://anchor.fm/app
In this episode, we are joined by our friend AJ, from Hippie Fertilizing and The Hybrid Hippie podcast. Listen along as we discuss 3 racks of ribs we cooked to our personal perfection. 1 rack far exceeded the other 2, but they were all REALLY good. --- This episode is sponsored by · Anchor: The easiest way to make a podcast. https://anchor.fm/app

We cooked our Cuban stuffed pork loin again, but this time with the updates from the previous episode. This one is short. Give it a listen then try the recipe yourself. You will be amazed.
In this shuper short episode, myself, Mike and Randy discuss a few things we cooked maybe a month ago. Our memories were not the best at recalling everything we did, so forgive us a little bit. I'm sorry for the late upload on this episode. Everybody in the crew got pretty sick right after this episode was recorded. We didn't feel well enough to get this one edited and out to y'all. I apologize. This episode is about a stuffed pork loin I (Chris) found on Facebook and tried it out. The recipe is included here in this episode and on our Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/2sheetsmokers/ We also cooked my wife's favorite, Randy's stuffed pork loin, and a few small deer steaks he had floating around. Enjoy the episode and please give us any feedback. We do listen to it all and try to make changes where necessary. This episode is from the VFW cook off back in March. We had a ton of fun and have no idea where we placed, but it was fun nonetheless. We hope to have a few future episodes of cooks from cookoffs. Enjoy the episode. --- This episode is sponsored by · Anchor: The easiest way to make a podcast. https://anchor.fm/app
This is an episode we recorded about a month ago and never posted. This is who we are in our "free time" from cooking, recording and working. I hope this provides a little background on who we are when we have some free time to relax. We will also do a few live recordings from our other hobbies. Enjoy the episode.
