A high school graduate who fell into the everyday hustle and bustle of life, writing a fiction novel of her own was only a wild fantasy. After going into early retirement at age 39 due to a chronic illness, but not yet ready for her life to be over, she decided to bring her dream to life. Without really knowing what she was doing, or how far she could get, she just sat down at her laptop and began writing. On this weeks episode of A3Life we start our Successful September series showcasing several amazing women who’ve had success in their businesses. This is what attracts people, you being you, aka you x 2! When you show up as yourself online, you attract your dream tribe, audience and friends. From seeing another girl being authentically herself on social media, it inspired Jessika to take the leap into making a product she was already loving, using and sharing about into a business of her own. Hi, I’m Branden. Yes, I have a boy’s name, a Mom bod, and the tattoos are not Photoshopped. Once upon a time I realized we all have a story, we all have a struggle and happiness is relative. I am not cynical or hardened, I am just stating the facts. Here’s the deal: Prince Charming doesn’t exist. Fairy Godmother is drunk. Glass slippers don't come 2 Day Prime Shipping from Amazon. There is no magic fairytale, but if YOU work at it enough you can come pretty close creating your version with a happy ending. The best part is, in life you can continue to make edits until that sh*t reads exactly how you want it to. Be sure to catch up on our past Powerful Women episodes launched in May.
On this weeks episode of A3Life, we interview the CEO of BeautyandHustle, Shannel Rivera. This badass woman went from working a $9 and hour job with FedEx, getting out of a bad relationship, to working her butt off to finish her bachelors, going on to create six figures at FedEx in 4 years. Her drive and need to create a community for women who maybe just needed a place to fit in like she yearned for is what sparked her dream. What started as a simple hashtag, beautyandhustle, has grown into a woman empowerment machine. The ultimate goal is to support women who empower others. She’s built a small business and brand from scratch, launched 2 successful direct sales businesses, and coaches and mentored 1,000’s of women to uplevel their life.
On this week's episode of A3Life, we have Heather Love. Heather grew up in a small city in Pennsylvania. One that has been named the poorest in the nation. Between the ages of 3-14 she was molested by family and 2 others. At the age of 14, she left home to live with her grandparents, caring for her sick grandmother. A few short months into that, her grandpa got cancer and passed away. Heather went through a string of violent relationships, and got pregnant at 18. Heather went on trial for attempted murder and between prison and Colombia I spent most of that time, avoiding abuse living in a women shelter with my baby. On her 25th birthday she went on a trip to Colombia and wound up in prison for 3 years. National Geographic did an episode of her on Locked Up Abroad (Season 10: Episode 8 - Colombian Double Cross). When she comes home, she finds out she has stage 4 endometriosis and she'd never to have kids again. But like Heather says, all these things made her stronger. She gets her act together and buys her own house as a single Mom. She's now married with 3 kids of her own in a blended family with 8 total amazing children. Five years ago she found a profession that didn’t ask her for her background, has never judged her for who she was, nor did they ask her for any proof if she is enough. She's found the courage to help others fight for their dreams as she continues to do so for herself. We're so happy to have Heather Love on this week to give women hope that when there's a will, there's a way. If your past or maybe your present isn't ideal, if you can find the courage to fight, anything can happen!
