Send us a textIn this week's episode of the Well Hello Magic Podcast, I'm sharing our family's recap of Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party at Walt Disney World. This was one of those quick Disney trips that filled our cups completely, and we packed in so much magic. From driving to Disney with kids to candy trails and fireworks, this episode covers it all.We start by talking about what it's really like to drive to Disney as a family. I share our best tips for long car rides with kids, how to break up the drive so it feels manageable, and how to make it part of the fun instead of just a chore. On my blog, you can find my full guide with three different ways to drive to Disney based on your family's needs.Next, we cover one of those small but important details parents forget until the last minute — the school vacation request form. I explain what we include, how to make it sound educational, and why it's helpful to plan ahead so teachers know what to expect. Then we dive into everything Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party. This year, we skipped character lines and focused on the shows, fireworks, and trick-or-treat trails. The candy trails were incredible, and the allergy-friendly option worked perfectly for our crew. We watched the Boo-to-You Parade, saw the Cadaver Dans, and ended the night with the Not-So-Spooky Spectacular fireworks. We grabbed dinner at Pecos Bill and took our time soaking in all the fall décor and atmosphere before heading out. Sometimes skipping the big moments and slowing down is exactly what makes the night memorable. Before heading home, we rented a pontoon boat on Bay Lake, which was one of the highlights of the trip. It's such a calm and beautiful way to see Disney from a different perspective, and it's a great family activity for a non-park day. We also spent some time at the Community Hall before checkout — another hidden gem for families who want a slower pace before traveling home. This episode is full of tips for making quick Disney trips more magical, slowing down to enjoy the details, and keeping the nostalgia alive while traveling with kids. Grab a pumpkin spice latte and listen in as we talk about Halloween fun, family adventures, and finding little moments of calm in the middle of all the Disney excitement. For more tips on minimizing parental stress at the Disney parks and finding magic at home, follow @wellhellomagic and check out the blog for more Disney travel inspiration. Send us a textPlanning a Disney trip is magical, but it is not always perfectly polished. Sometimes it is a little last minute, a little messy, and a whole lot of fun. In this episode of the Well Hello Magic Podcast, we are diving into two big topics: finding the best places to work remotely while at Walt Disney World Resort and tips for pulling off a last-minute Halloween trip like a pro.First up, let's talk about remote work at Disney. Whether you are a content creator, a parent squeezing in a few hours of work, or someone who needs to check in with the office before heading to the parks, finding the right spot to open your laptop matters. We are going beyond the obvious and exploring some of my favorite quiet corners and hidden gems around the parks and resorts. Think comfy seating, good Wi-Fi, low foot traffic, and just the right amount of background magic to keep you inspired. From tucked-away lounges at Disney's Riviera Resort to the airy Solarium at Disney's Beach Club Resort and even a few sneaky park spots like the upstairs of Columbia Harbour House, these are the spaces where magic meets productivity. Then, we switch gears and talk about what happens when you plan a Disney trip at the last second because that is exactly what I am doing right now. I changed my Halloween trip plans just 10 days ago, and yes, we changed our costumes again this week. I am sharing how I keep my sanity while planning on the fly, where to focus my time and energy when the countdown clock is ticking, and the real talk on what you can and cannot accomplish when planning a Disney vacation last minute. Spoiler: it is absolutely still magical.I am also sharing how I will be testing out Wait Magic, a trip-planning app that reached out to me. I want to see if it actually lives up to the hype for real-time wait times, strategy tips, and crowd patterns. If it works well, it might just become part of my toolkit for helping you plan smarter and stress less on your own trips. So if you have ever wondered: • Where can I actually work remotely without the chaos of Main Street USA? • How do you plan a Disney trip in a week or two without losing your mind? • Is it still worth going to Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party last minute? • How can new planning apps help keep me organized? Send us a textJoin us on this special episode as your host, Sam, and special guest Sean from Magic on Main Street confront one of the grimmest corners of the MCU-verse: Marvel Zombies. We dig into Episodes 1 and 2 of the series, unpacking what works, what utterly shocks, and how the familiar heroes we know become something far more horrifying. We'll talk survivors (Kamala Khan, Kate Bishop, Riri Williams), we'll explore zombie versions of icons, we'll explore apocalypse world-building and pacing, and we'll ask: is this a re-imagining of “What If…?” turned max horror — or something the MCU truly needed? Whether you're a hardcore Marvel fan or just zombie-curious, you'll want to buckle up. Send us a textThis week's episode is extra special because my sister, Nicolette, joins me for a heartfelt conversation about our family's multigenerational love for Walt Disney World. We grew up as true “Disney kids,” with parents who made magical memories a family tradition — and that legacy still shapes who we are today.Together, we reminisce about our earliest park trips, the ways Disney has influenced our values, and how those experiences have carried into our adult lives. Nicolette shares her unique perspective as a woman in business, the ways she supports other women entrepreneurs, and what she hopes for her own family's future Disney trips. We also talk about how we grew up in the same Disney-loving family but took different paths — why I became a self-proclaimed Disney adult, and why she didn't. From park memories to legacy conversations, this episode blends nostalgia, family stories, and practical tips for creating magical trips of your own.Whether you're planning your first visit or continuing a family tradition, this episode will make you laugh, reflect, and maybe even inspire your next Disney adventure.
