The Baptism of the Holy Ghost is essential for every believer to fulfill God's purpose for our lives. Sadly, the church has been separated over this issue and we remained powerless. The baptism of the Holy Ghost is for us today! Pastor Matt explores the baptism of the Holy Ghost and seeks to establish a Biblical formula to receiving Him.
The Lord is calling us to deep places; waters to swim in; a deeper relationship that prepares the way for a greater manifestation of the Holy Spirit. We must answer the call to greater surrender. Our gateway to revival is in the presence of the Lord. Respond to His invitation. The world needs an outpouring.
In our age of technological advancement, we are always looking for the next generation of product. Jesus came to earth so we could be fully alive and become the next generation of the Kingdom of God manifested on earth. What was ruined in the garden of Eden, was reconciled on the cross and manifested on the day of Pentecost. We cannot be a next generation church without the power of the Holy Spirit. Jesus told his disciples not to start on their mission until they received power from on high. On the day of Pentecost, the Holy Spirit was poured out on them and they turned the world upside down. We must get back to being filled and under the control of the Holy Spirit in our hearts, lives and churches. The Lord is calling us to increase our capacity for the Holy Spirit.
Jesus came that we could have life (Zoe - the God kind of life; real and genuine - the same type of like Jesus walked in on the earth). Too many of us are not walking in all that was provided for by the death, burial and resurrection. Learn how to be fully alive in Christ Jesus!
Our biggest weapon in our spiritual arsenal is the presence of God. He is our victory and our relationship with Him is the greatest privilege. This relationship requires brokenness, vulnerability and honesty before Him. Like the woman in Luke 7, God is calling us to pour out what's in our jar in sincere worship to connect with Him. Accept the invitation to His presence. Pour it out.
Lord, what's taking so long!?! Have you ever asked God that question? You may be wondering right now, “God since you can do anything, why am I still in this situation? Why haven't I seen the change, the answer, the breakthrough that I'm waiting on? God wants to teach you how to fight. He could do it FOR YOU but He wants to do it THROUGH YOU. He is taking you this route to teach you the art of war!
We recently commemorated the one-year anniversary of the World Health Organization‘s announcement of coronavirus as a worldwide pandemic. We recognize the contributions of our frontline health workers and essential workers of every industry, first responders, police, paramedics, doctors and nurses. Kudos, appreciation and around of applause to all but the glory goes to God! David wrote in Psalm 124, “If it had not been the Lord who was on our side. . .” The Lord has brought us through so much over this past year. We owe him a praise! We owe him thank You! He's been good to us. But God.
The Lord has been talking to us about transition. We are stepping out on faith, trusting God and going after the promises and purpose He's given us. The enemy will do everything in his power to stop us. But because of Jesus Christ, victory is our legacy. Pastor Matt shares four keys to victorious living to defeat the enemy and establish God's will in your life.
Jesus invited His disciples to go the other side of the Sea of Galilee. While they were in transition, they encountered a storm so severe that it caused experienced sea farers to be afraid. Jesus, unfazed by the storm, responded to the fear and faithlessness of His disciples and came to their rescue. What kind of transition are you in right now? Has God given you an invitation to launch out in the deep? You will encounter storms and be challenged to lose faith in the Word God spoke. Pastor Matt teaches us the principles to follow when you're In Transition.
We know “lego” as a system of building blocks which is used to unlock the imaginations of children of all ages. The word means to assemble or put together. The only limit to what you can build is your imagination. In Mark 11, Jesus tells us that if we have faith and do not doubt, we can speak to the mountain to be removed and cast into the sea and it will go. The Greek word for speak used here is “lego.” We can use the Word of God to assemble, to build, to put together the he Kingdom of God in the earth. Give voice to the Word of God. Lego.
The Kingdom of God demands total allegiance. If we are to represent the Lord, we must defect from the kingdom of darkness. Too many Christians change their citizenship without completely leaving the old life behind. The Lord calls is to take the Kingdom to the world and will empower us when we represent him exclusively.
Every kingdom has laws, privileges and benefits and rights enforceable by its constitution. The constitution is the covenant made by the king with his kingdom. As citizens of the Kingdom of God, it is essential that we are well versed in the Bible, the Kingdom Constitution. When we don't know the Word of God, we will live beneath our privileges and allow the enemy to have too much control in our lives. Pastor Matt teaches the importance of knowing and how to know the Kingdom Constitution.
After six days of creation, the Lord instituted a day of rest. The Sabbath was then commanded for man as a part of the law. The Lord knows we need to rest from work. Although we are no longer under a command to obey the Sabbath, we still need to take the time to rest. We have entered into the true rest in Jesus Christ. But until He comes again, we must contend to stay in it by frequenting the presence of the Lord. Listen to learn how to take Kingdom Rest.
Whenever the Lord give us authority, He also gives us boundaries. Boundaries aren't restrictive limitations to keep you from greatness. Boundaries are protective guardrails to guide you to greatness. The Lord gave us back the most important thing Adam lost by giving us Jesus Christ. The Holy Spirit is here; living inside us to show us what no eye can see, no ear can hear or heart can perceive. The Holy Spirit is the boundary of our authority and He's here to help us get to greatness.
In a Kingdom, access to the King can make all the difference in the world. One word from the King can change the course of a people, a nation or make a profound effect in the life of an individual. As Kingdom Citizens, we have a direct line to royalty. We can approach God with confidence and full assurance. What guarantees us this access? How can we be certain? Pastor Matt explains why you have an audience with the King.
Jesus came to restore our authority to establish the Kingdom of God on the Earth. It is only to the degree that we are under authority that we can exercise authority. Join Pastor Matt as he teaches on the need for God's people to remain Under Authority.
Our purpose on earth is to further the Kingdom of God. We are meant to rule under the Lordship of Jesus Christ. When Satan cheated Adam out of his dominion, he stole his authority and has no intention on giving it back. Jesus defeated Satan at the cross and restored our Kingdom authority but we will have to continue to fight for it until Jesus comes again. We will pray. We will fight. We will win.
As 2020 comes to a close, Pastor Matt shares the mantra for Bethany Worship Center for 2021 and prophetic insight of what's to come in the new year.
Many of us can say that we love the lights that shine during the Christmas season. Christmas lights are meant to be symbolic of the light that shines in the Earth through the birth of our Savior, Jesus Christ. Jesus is the light of Christmas. He came voluntarily into a dark world and is willing to enter into the darkness of our lives as our faithful High Priest.
Many people say “Christmas is the season of giving” but we say, “Living is the season of giving.“ God is a giver and we, being made in His image, should be givers also. The Lord has plans to prosper us and wants to do so through our giving. There is a right way to give in the Kingdom of God that brings blessings and increase. This message will help you to understand the revelation of giving.
We began 2020 in faith with the theme was “Even Further by Faith.” The Lord told us we would be challenged to stay in faith this year. As we draw near to the end of a tough year, we must have faith through the finish. It's not enough to simply desire to get to the end of a year when we have eternity at stake. We must fight the good fight of faith all the way through the finish line into 2021.
The Lord created mankind in His image and likeness. He created us to feel; to experience a wide range of emotions that serve as a temperature gauge to the soul. When we choose to ignore, suppress or deny our emotions, we deny a part of us God's image in us. Although some emotions are especially difficult emotions like fear, anger and sadness - we can learn to identify them and present them before God as an offering. The Holy Spirit will use our feelings to teach us about ourselves, the love of God and life itself - IF we take off the Christian Camouflage.
Wilderness experiences are times of testing. We are to put into practice what we learned before the test began. Jesus was led into the wilderness after the Father said, “This is My Beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.” Satan's goal was to steal His identity. But Jesus maintained His identity and submitted to the love of the Father. We must do the same in our wilderness. We must avoid the temptations Satan offers and be rooted and grounded in the love of God.
During this pandemic, we have come to realize that the most important things in life are not things. Our relationships with people are valuable and we must make the time and effort to invest in them. Here are seven things you can do to invest in the value of relationship.
The Lord want you whole! No matter what issues, problems, habits or addictions you face or struggle with - they are no match for the blood of Jesus. There is an urgency for repentance in these times. Reach out and touch the hem of His garment and let His power handle your issues.
In spite of all opposition, persecution, trials, tribulations, heartaches, disagreements and attacks, you remain undefeated! A boxer's record is based on the final outcome of the fight - even if they lose some rounds. The outcome of this journey of faith is your victory that has been assured by Jesus Christ! Hold your head up and tell the devil, “I'm undefeated!”
The Lord calls us to love and be unified as the Body of Christ. Jesus said our love will show the world that we are His disciples. When the church becomes divided over political parties and ideologies, we look like the world and don't draw anyone to Christ. What's the point of it all? Love. Learn how to fulfill the great commandment during this politically divisive season.
Without faith, it is impossible to please God. Doubt, skepticism and unbelief will stand in the way of the manifestation of God's promises! If we are going to experience revival, we must confront unbelief because skeptics don't enter into promises. Let's allow God to search our hearts and help our unbelief.
Jesus told us the if we believe in Him that the Holy Spirit would flow in us like rivers of living water. The presence of the Holy Spirit in our lives brings change - if we allow Him. As we are positioning ourselves for revival, it is crucial that we yield to the Spirit and allow Him to mold and shape us. Let's listen and learn how to let the water flow.
Faith without works is dead! When God speaks a Word to us, we have to respond in faith. It's possible to miss what God has for us if we don't move in the season of the Word spoken. Listen as Pastor Matt encourages us to Work Your Faith!

Listen in to learn five essential truths to get settled in your heart on the way to revival.
The Lord brings people out of darkness and into His marvelous light. Jesus said we are the light of the world. He wants us to shine and draw others. God was honored when David sought to build Him a house. He'd never asked but somehow, David tapped into the desire of God's heart to dwell permanently with His people. David wasn't allowed to build the temple but commissioned his son, Solomon, to do it. But as David admonished his son, he continued to emphasize the true house the Lord was looking to live in. Listen as Pastor Matt teaches how to make your heart a home for the Lord.

We typically see repentance as change or else - but there's also an admonition to change so that. . . (Acts 3:19). God wants to bring us closer and do amazing things through our lives. When we repent, God forgives. There is no need to carry guilt, shame, condemnation or the burden of working off a debt. Listen as Pastor Matt shares what's actually on the other side of repentance.

We have several opponents; COVID-19, racism, classism, political polarization, and others. But there is only one enemy - Satan. He wants us to fight each other. He wants us to give up. He wants us defeated. He wants us feel powerless. But we have a Champion - Jesus Christ! He fights our battles. He is still. . . The undisputed, undefeated heavyweight champion of the universe!
The Lord has allowed us a tremendous opportunity for change! If we are going to see change come to our lives, we must pray. The battle is not against flesh and blood, a race, creed or group. There is one enemy - Satan. We must continue to fight in prayer if we are going to see real, lasting change. The Holy Spirit comes to help us pray and win!
Our Heavenly Father wants us to grow up to look and act just like Jesus. He gave us the Holy Spirit on the day of Pentecost to help us mature. Sadly, many believers go back to the first Pentecost in a futile attempt to grow up. We try to live out the rules instead of relishing in the relationship. Listen as Pastor Matt shares God's method for maturity in the message.

We all get thirsty. Thirst can be physical, emotional or spiritual. Sometimes we don't know what part of us is thirsty and we use what is most convenient or appeals to our flesh. Allow the Holy Spirit to help you obey your thirst in the right way.
