Lord, what's taking so long!?! Have you ever asked God that question? You may be wondering right now, “God since you can do anything, why am I still in this situation? Why haven't I seen the change, the answer, the breakthrough that I'm waiting on? God wants to teach you how to fight. He could do it FOR YOU but He wants to do it THROUGH YOU. He is taking you this route to teach you the art of war!
Scripture of the Day: Romans 8:26 “In the same way, the Spirit helps us in our weakness. We do not know what we ought to pray for, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us through wordless groans.”Don't Limit God with Your Prayers Some people will say that they “pray in other tongues.” I know what they mean, I sometimes say the same thing. But that does not mean that all speaking in tongues IS prayer! Now, I have to explain that, right? Praise God! It is true, that when we pray in tongues in our own private prayer life, we are praying directly to God. That is true. But some people want to leave it right there. They limit what God can do through them by not allowing the Holy Spirit to use speaking in divers tongues to minister to OTHERS through THEM! For example, speaking in divers tongues is a means, as we have already shared in other sessions, where the Holy Spirit can speak THROUGH YOU, through another believer, in an unknown tongue to you, but it is a KNOWN tongue to the hearer. I gave a couple of examples of that in earlier sessions. Another example was a service a minister I know of told about this happening. He said there was a young Jewish boy who came to their service one night. He was in the Air Force and only had one friend and that was a young man who wanted to invite the Jewish boy to the service, but told him he did not want to offend him. He was Jewish and did not believe Jesus really was the Messiah. But he said, “You're my only friend, I'll go with you.” As the service got going, the pastor started to pray in tongues. There was usually someone who would stand up to interpret, but this night, nobody stood up to give the interpretation. After a minute or so, the pastor continued with the service. Afterwards, as the pastor was greeting people as they were leaving, the Jewish boy shook hands with the Pastor and asked him how he knew he was Jewish? The Pastor responded he did not know he was Jewish and then asked, “Why did you ask me that?” The Jewish boy said the pastor had spoken directly to him, in perfect Hebrew, and had even spoken the Jewish pronunciation of his name, including his middle name. The pastor was shocked! So was this boys friend! The pastor asked him what else had been said… The boy responded with, “You told me that Jesus was the true Messiah and that I was to believe in Him.” He then told the pastor that he had to go and think about this more… The next Sunday, that Jewish boy and his friend came back to church and the Jewish boy received Jesus as his Savior! Praise GOD! Amen! Don't shout me down when I'm preaching good! Praise God! Do not limit what God can do when He wants to use YOU! If you are unwilling to yield yourself to the Holy Spirit and speak in other tongues, even in private, let alone in public, you limit God! Don't LIMIT GOD with your prayers! Amen! Don't LIMIT GOD by not being willing to allow HIM to use YOU with supernatural prayer in divers tongues. I want to pray for you right now. I want to pray that you will be willing to allow God to USE YOU by speaking in unknown tongues. Praise God! Let's Pray! Scripture of the Day: Revelation 5:8 “And when he had taken it, the four living creatures and the twenty-four elders fell down before the Lamb. Each one had a harp and they were holding golden bowls full of incense, which are the prayers of God's people.” Divers Tongues Part Two Yesterday, I gave an example of a friend of mine who found herself in a spot where she had to pray in tongues in a remote village and the divers tongues the Holy Spirit provided was a language she did not understand – but the village did! It was a unique dialect that even the interpreter (who was not present with her at the time but arrived shortly after) did not know! But sometimes, the divers tongues are meant for our own benefit. What do I mean by that. I spoke to one person on my podcast and were discussing something that happened to him. He was ministering in India. They had an interpreter and he was ministering to a large crowd. Then, the Holy Ghost fell and many started to cry out to the Lord, speaking in tongues. As he was on his knees praying, a woman approached and started to minister to him in perfect English. She talked about how God was going to send him on a special assignment, and gave some specific details. Some of the things she was saying were things he had been praying about. After she finished, she turned around and started to go back to her seat. The man called out to her to thank her for the prayer, but she kept walking, ignoring him. The interpreter called to her and she stopped and turned around. The man asked her how she knew such perfect English. She did not understand a word he said! The interpreter asked and she replied shed did not speak English. She never had taken an English lesson in her life! But when SHE was praying in other tongues – the missionary UNDERSTOOD the divers tongue being spoken while the speaker had no clue she was speaking English! Glory to God! So divers tongues are for the hearers – not so much the speakers. When the Holy Spirit comes on the scene and there is an opportunity to speak in divers tongues – DON'T HOLD BACK! You never know WHO that particular divers tongue is going to be for! Amen! It could be, that in that session, someone you least expect could walk up to you and have a Word from the Lord directly for you! Perhaps it is something you have been praying about, seeking the Lord about or asking the Lord for direction, such as this person I interviewed! Perhaps you will be led to speak in what is an unknown language to you – but will make perfect sense to those around you. But, if you hold back, if you refuse to participate, then the Lord will not be able to use you. He will not be able to do greater works than these THROUGH YOU! And that would be a travesty. Amen! I want to pray for you right now to yield yourself to the promptings of the Holy Spirit. To do whatever needs to be done as the Holy Spirit leads. It could be laying hands on someone or just lifting them up to the Lord in prayer. But it could also be to publicly pray in divers tongues, perhaps when you least expect it. Those will be situations where you could be extremely surprised to find out “what the Lord has done!” Amen! Let's Pray! S Recent election has me thinking about freedom. I have a thing where I got through the list of countries in the world and share little factoids with my Mom each day as a way to share something new. It's been really informative for me and has really made me appreciate even more how unique and special our country is and how blessed we are to have both the freedoms and the financial abundance and opportunities we have. I thank God for that specifically nearly every day. Having said that, I also believe there can be a danger of making an idol of freedom. I saw so many Christians wondering what God was up to when Trump lost this past election, based on an assumption that God's will was for Trump to win. I have to admit at some level I was in that camp. I have almost 100% tuned out of politics and news since the election, so much so that my friend told me the other day that Rush Limbaugh had died and that Trump had been adquitted in the impeachment trial, neither of which I was aware of several days after they had occurred. You know what, it's been great being unplugged in this way. I've been less angry and devoted more time to more important things. But back to earlier point, I truly believe we will suffer a big loss of freedoms with the regime change in Washington, particularly Christians. As Christians, our job and our motivations should not have changed with this election, nor should our clarity and confidence that God is in control. It makes me think that we should not have the same of freedom as the rest of the world. In Exodus 8, God releases the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th plagues on Egypt, but He also makes clear through Moses why He wants His people to come out of Egypt. The reason is so that they could sacrifice and worship God. In John 8:31-32, "31 Then Jesus said to those Jews who believed Him, “If you abide in My word, you are My disciples indeed. 32 And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.” Galations 5:1 says " Stand[a] fast therefore in the liberty by which Christ has made us free, and do not be entangled again with a yoke of bondage" From these verses I get a picture of freedom that's not the same as the freedom we often think of in the United States. It is not a freedom to do what we want. That's the motto of Satanism, to do what you wilt. Rather freedom is to no longer be a slave to sin but rather be a slave to Christ. John 8:34 "Jesus answered them, “Most assuredly, I say to you, whoever commits sin is a slave of sin." Romans 6:16 "Do you not know that to whom you present yourselves slaves to obey, you are that one’s slaves whom you obey, whether of sin leading to death, or of obedience leading to righteousness?" Romans 6:22 "But now having been set free from sin, and having become slaves of God, you have your fruit to holiness, and the end, everlasting life." We may not like the term "slave of God" and it might sound a little to restrictive. When we have that thought we need to reject it in the name of Jesus, because when we boldly claim our personal freedom and exalt it above all other things ultimately is idolatry and leads to us trying to make ourselves god of our lives. Notice the reward at the end of Romans, it says "you have your fruit to holiness, and the end, everlasting life." Is this heaven after we die? Maybe, but don't forget John 17:3 "And this is eternal life, that they may know You, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom You have sent." For those of you can relate to me and were in bondage to sin in your past in ways that really hurt yourself and others, you can probably agree with me when I see that God's freedom rather than being "freedom for myself" is more like "freedom from myself. You might be wondering what the application of this little message is to our work. The world will tell you that work is a necessary evil, and you've got to go to work because of the golden handcuffs. They'll tell you that you're serving a 45 year sentence and you'll only be "free" when you retire, only to be let down when you retire, perhaps filled with regrets and lacking purpose. God's vision for our work is much different. He gave Adam and Even work as his first gift, and it's still a gift for us today and one for which we should thank him for daily. When we're in relationship with Jesus, work is just a part of a joy-filled life fully submitted and devoted to Him. When I got saved I went to a Promise Keeper's event and bought the CD for the music from that event and one of my favorite songs I would play over and over was "I am free". here are the lyrics. I found these being attributed to Newsboys, I don't know if they originally wrote the song or not. Through You the blind will see Through You the mute will sing Through You the dead will rise Through You all hearts will praise Through You the darkness flees Through You my heart sings I am free I am free Let me hear you And I am free to run (I am free to run) And I am free to dance (I am free to dance) And I am free to live for You (I am free to live for You) I am free (I am free) Yes I am free (yes, I am free) ... Through You the kingdom comes Through You the battle's won Through You I'm not afraid Through You The price is paid Through You there's victory Because of You my soul sings I am free From First Light - 2020-0112 Truth and Freedom If you abide in my Word, you will truly be my disciples. And you shall know the truth and the truth shall set you free John 8:31-32 Jesus died on a cruel cross not only to save us eternally, but also to liberate us from bondage. Any bondage. Demonic, emotional, mental, family, physical or any other type that robs us of the life He desires for us. Anything that keeps us from experiencing the Christ life that comes through His Spirit, He wants to liberate us from. "Normal" for those in Christ should be defined as a life of peace, happiness, compassion, able to hear the Shepherd's voice, able to live free from fear, anxiety and pain from our past among a host of other "benefits" that we inherited at our salvation. However, everything Jesus died to give us doesn't fall on us like ripe cherries when we are born again! That's why Jesus spoke in John about truth and freedom. Genuine freedom can only come as truth gets down inside our hearts and that can only happen when we internalize His Word into our spirits. God's Word is like no other book. Hebrews says it is "alive and active and able to go beyond our souls into our spirits". Psalms says that "the entrance of thy Word gives light". Something takes place inside me as I meditate on the wonderful truths found in the Bible such as "if anyone is in Christ, he (or she) is a brand-new creation, old things are gone forever, and all things have been made new". What actually takes place is that as I read and think deeply (meditate) on the truth found in scripture the Holy Spirit of God takes that truth to the very core of my being, which is my heart and uses it to transform me at spirit level. He uses it to destroy the lies that cause me pain or bondage and replaces those lies with the liberating, life giving, joy inspiring truth from heaven! It is a true miracle! I have to do my part, "thy Word have I hid in my heart". He won't do it for me, but when I do my part then He does His part which is to do surgery in my heart and remove the cancer and replace it with life giving truth! That's why it is life or death for believers to let the light of His Word in their hearts constantly. To "abide" in His Word s to continually receive it. If you will be faithful to "attend unto my Word", He will be faithful change you from the inside out over time. For those who are tired of the same old same old it is time to dust off that Bible and get it into the heart so freedom can break loose! Thank you for providing a way for me to be truly free from the junk that keeps robbing me of the life you died to give me! My grandfather was a very big fan of JFK; he was well known and well loved in Latin America (my family is from Mexico) when he became president of the United States. My mother was 12 years old when JFK was assassinated While she doesn't exactly remember the details of the day as it happened, what she does remember is the solemn face on my grandfather as he heard the news. While she might not have understood what was going on, by the expression on her fathers face, she knew something terrible had happened. As educators, and more importantly as the adults, we sometimes overlook or underestimate how our perceptions and our thoughts, language and actions guide and dictate how our students perceive what happens in the classroom. If you are grumpy or have an attitude (because you got a flat tire, because you didn't get your coffee, etc.) and you walk into the classroom with that attitude, it will impact and shape the way your students perceive the lesson you are trying to teach that day. Everything that happens in your classroom happens THROUGH your perspective, through your eyes. Everything that happens in your classroom is filtered THROUGH YOU! While its very easy to blame kids "attitudes" and their 'bad behavior" as something that is outside of our control, your response to that "attitude" and "behavior" is what sets the tone for your classroom. It is within your power to dictate and set the tone of your classroom. It is within your grasp and to your benefit to create as positive of an environment as possible; otherwise your students will miss the opportunity to see the lessons and teachings you want them to learn because of a negative environment. Promoting a positive learning environment creates a safe space for kids to take risks and try; it allows them the ability to open their eyes and see the world through your perspective. This doesn't just happen; you have to be able to willing to be honest with yourself first. You have to admit to yourself why you feel good or why you feel bad. Sometimes, that means telling your students "Hey, today, I had a flat tire, and I spilled my coffee, and its not the best day" And this is okay! And its going to be okay! This is CRITICAL to creating a safe classroom environment; because if you are willing to be honest and upfront with your students, they will trust you. And if they see you as someone who is trust worthy, they will trust the lessons that you have to teach them. They will trust you And when you are positive, your kids will be positive And if you are honest, your kids will be honest And if you push yourself to be the best version of yourself you can be So will they Positivity is contagious; everyone, from your students to your coworkers, will feed off of your positive energy And if you feel that anything is possible, then THROUGH YOUR EYES, they will also be able to see, that anything is possible for them It is because of my mothers belief in me (since the day I was born) that I am able to do what I do. Romans 4:13-21– The righteous have always lived by faith (Rom 1:17). God revealed to Abraham who He had MADE HIM TO BE, and in so doing, showed Himself to be the God who GIVES LIFE TO THE DEAD and CALLS INTO EXISTENCE THE THINGS THAT DO NOT EXIST Abraham’s resulting faith enabled him to see, beyond all human hope, what God was going to do in his life. It enabled him to see his own future promised son, Isaac whom God was calling into being, and even beyond to God’s Promised Son, Jesus through whom many nations would come into the same faith. Abraham’s example can show us how to see what God has MADE YOU to be, what the Spirit is doing IN YOU to bring you into the full stature of Christ, and all that God is seeking to do THROUGH YOU to call many nations into His Kingdom. Let us align ourselves with what God has said He will do, and call into existence those things which He has promised, but do not yet exist!

She’s about to start shooting her first feature, Glass, a stalking thriller based on a real experience about a dancer and an insidious fan in our privacy-gone world. Lily talks about the rigor and commitment of dancers, coming into film as a “second career”, the responsibility she feels as an artist to pull from her own experiences and educate, and “working your buns off” to be the ultimate version of yourself.

I'm looking Through You is known in 2 versions: the Rubber Soul track, and the Anthology version. The Rubber Soul version is a bit more perky, but the stereo is in the classic 'instruments right, voices left' mode. So, the BDJ engineers set to work to produce a - true - stereo I'm looking Through You. They used 3 diferent versions: the Rubber Soul track, a US release, and the unpublished Take 4. Results is a pleasant song, fully up to 2009 stereo standards.
