Join Us for Worship: Sundays at 9:00 AM & 11:00 AM https://www.flourishinggrace.org/plan-your-visit In this message from Luke 12:1–12, Pastor Benjer leads us through one of Jesus' most sobering teachings about what it means to follow Him in a world that does not want us to. Drawing from the lives of Dietrich Bonhoeffer, Betty Stam, and Richard Wurmbrand—men and women who paid a great cost for their allegiance to Christ—this sermon reminds us that discipleship is neither neutral nor comfortable. Jesus warns His disciples to beware of the hypocrisy of the Pharisees, a caution against living for the approval of others while neglecting the heart. He then gives a clear warning: do not fear those who can harm the body, but fear the One who holds our eternal destiny. Yet even in this, there is comfort—God knows us intimately, values us deeply, and never forgets us. Our worth is not determined by human opinion but by the price God paid for us in Christ. Finally, Jesus issues a call: to publicly acknowledge Him in both word and deed, to live with integrity before a watching world, and to trust the Holy Spirit to give us the words when our faith is challenged. Pastor Benjer emphasizes that following Jesus will inevitably cause friction with the values of the world, but Christians are not called to seek out conflict for its own sake. Instead, we are to live faithfully, sacrificially, and graciously, showing Christ's love in tangible ways. He challenges us to examine whether we have been living to please others rather than God, to reject the temptation to remain neutral, and to resist making enemies of those who simply need to hear the good news. The message closes with a vision for the church: that if our building and programs disappeared, the community would notice because of the way we have loved, served, and represented Jesus. This is a call to live as people whose only hope in life and death is Christ, steadfast in faith whether the world applauds or opposes. It is a reminder that discipleship will cost us something, but that it is worth everything because of who Jesus is and what He has done. Whether you are a longtime believer, a new Christian, or still exploring the faith, this sermon invites you to wrestle honestly with what it means to follow Jesus faithfully today, trusting that His Spirit will equip and sustain you in every circumstance. Will you follow Him with boldness and faithfulness, even when the world pushes back?

We sat down at the Sea of Galilee with an Israeli special forces commander just hours after he returned from the front lines in Gaza. What followed wasn't just a conversation - it was a collision of war, faith, and the kingdom of God. In this powerful and emotional episode, we talk about everything from blowing up terror tunnels and rescuing hostages to the unseen spiritual battle raging behind the headlines. Our guest, a Jewish believer and elite IDF soldier, shares how he's been sustained through nearly 600 days of combat, what the Bible says about Gaza, and why the real hope for peace isn't political - it's prophetic. You won't hear this anywhere else. Key Takeaways: Gaza holds ancient, prophetic significance - and the war there today is deeply spiritual. Ceasefires often backfire, giving terror groups time to rearm. Political deals and military action can't fix what only the return of the Messiah can. True peace comes when hearts are transformed - not just borders. Chapter Markers: 00:01 – Sea of Galilee intro with the IDF Sergeant Major 00:21 – On-the-ground details from Gaza tunnel operations 04:11 – What it really takes for a military mission to succeed 07:33 – The illusion of ceasefires and international pressure 12:56 – How a Jewish believer in the army sees God's hand in the chaos 17:49 – Pulling back the mask: the theo-political battle behind the war 24:17 – Why only the Kingdom of God can bring lasting peace 26:48 – A former radical Muslim's transformation and the future hope Stay connected as we continue to unpack the prophetic story unfolding in real-time. In this episode of Uncommon Sense, we're talking about Tucker Carlson's highly discussed interview with Senator Ted Cruz. I'll be sharing my honest thoughts on how it went, why I think Tucker came out ahead, and what this kind of bold, unscripted, and unapologetically frank conversation means for the future of political discourse (spoiler: I'm all for it). We'll go into why I support constructive confrontation—yes, even when it gets "mean" and uncomfortable. The Founding Fathers didn't tiptoe around the truth, so why should we? They debated passionately because the stakes were high. The polite punditry act is wearing thin, and people are tired of political puppets mouthing safe lines. They're craving what we saw here: real conviction, real disagreement, and real questions. We'll cover why I believe Tucker won this exchange: from his biblical literacy to his serious concerns about foreign lobbying groups like AIPAC having a hand in U.S. policy. Ted got visibly nervous when pressed about Scripture, about Israel, and about U.S. involvement in a possible war with Iran. And the question still lingers: Why are we only now suddenly being pushed to act, when Trump was reportedly targeted by Iran two years ago? Most importantly, we'll reflect on Tucker's question—a theological one with deep political ramifications: Who is the real Israel according to God? Is it the modern state that does not believe Jesus is Lord and historically has required a denial of Christ for Jewish returnees? Or is it the true church—those who belong to Christ?I'll share my belief unapologetically: Israel is the body of believers in Jesus Christ. Not those who reject Him. Not those who crucified Him. That's a hard truth, but a necessary one in these last days when clarity very much matters.Faith shouldn't be a popularity contest.--https://www.thebrandsunday.com/products/the-bible-study-physical?srsltid=AfmBOorwAVEYslTlOGA-36_bHHjruNDOebEKWQ6M2115NZZwL8WG_ali

Pride Month is evil, and we must call it what it is. In this episode, we're discussing the spiritual implications of Pride Month, asking hard questions about what it represents—and how believers should respond. We're drawing the connection between pride, identity, and rebellion against God's design for human flourishing. Many Christians feel spiritually drained during this month, and we should. I'm challenging my listeners to love the LGBTQ+ community not with silence or compromise (and certainly not with support) but with truth—the truth that God offers forgiveness, transformation, and eternal life to all who repent and follow Christ. We must hate sin while praying for our enemies. Our culture desperately needs more holiness, conviction, and compassion rooted in the gospel, which is telling those around us the truth.—https://www.thebrandsunday.com/products/the-bible-study-physical?srsltid=AfmBOoqBR_MWE2-fkYXYHCn80nZtEct4ixmRGrXZSrgIn5HP_tBc9Mcy

Divorce is not just a personal decision, it's actually a spiritual health crisis. And it's unfortunately rampant in society today. In this episode, I'm calling it what it really is: sin. God literally says in Scripture, “I hate divorce” (Malachi 2:16), yet our culture treats it like a self-care strategy. Christians are increasingly justifying what the Bible clearly condemns. Let's be clear: marriage is a covenant and walking away from it without biblical grounds is rebellion against God.Even with biblical grounds to divorce (such as in cases of abandonment or sexual immorality) God still prefers there be genuine repentance and genuine forgiveness. Meaning, no matter how "bad" it allegedly gets, God still suggests true apologies and true absolution. He wants that instead of bitterness and separation. Also, everyone seems to conveniently be forgetting about how divorce impacts the children. That is very wicked to not consider how it affects them.People have come at me with rudeness, bitterness, and every excuse under the sun as to why they "had to" get divorced, but none of that will stop me from speaking the truth. You did not "have to" get divorced. Not most of you. I'm not here to please people. I'm here to honor God and uphold what His Word says, even when it's uncomfortable or "comes off mean." Unfriendly reminder: I win every single battle and every single war because I fight on the side of righteousness, and you probably don't. Tune in as we break down the lies, the "justifications" and the tragic consequences of treating divorce like an option instead of the absolute last resort.Marriage is a holy covenant between one man, one woman, and God.Hope this helps!--https://policecoffee.com/collections/coffee

Send us a textWe spend countless hours debating theological concepts, but how often do we pick up the phone to comfort someone who's hurting? This raw, honest conversation tackles the universal Christian experience of trials, temptations, and afflictions—and why they're actually essential to our spiritual growth. The discussion challenges a dangerous misconception in modern Christianity: that suffering indicates spiritual failure or lack of faith. Contrary to prosperity gospel teaching, Scripture actually promises that trials will come to every believer. As James 1:2 instructs, we're to "count it all joy when you fall into various temptations"—not if, but when they arrive. This powerful teaching distinguishes between happiness (which depends on circumstances like jobs, relationships, and possessions) and joy (which persists regardless of external conditions). True joy comes from understanding that God uses our hardships to develop patience and spiritual maturity. As one participant powerfully testified: "I know God loves me because I've been through trials—I need them to be molded into His character."The most convicting aspect of this conversation is its spotlight on how Christians respond to others' suffering. Many believers can articulate complex doctrinal positions yet fail at the simple act of showing compassion. A brief phone call, a home-cooked meal, or just a few minutes of prayer can be more powerful than the most eloquent theological argument.Has someone in your circle been going through a difficult season? Take a moment today to reach out—it might be the most important ministry you perform this week. Remember, the world will know we are Christians not by our doctrinal precision, but by our love.Support the show
