So since Covid seems to still be an issue, having events that are long trips to anywhere is probably not a good idea. So that is why I have come up with this idea.Photowalks, They are fun and limited in both time and the amount of people participating. Have a liste to my idea and lets get something rolling before the year is over.#Photography #PhotographersofLI
So instagram is saying good bye, but is it really possible for them to dump us all?#Instagram#Photographers#NowWhat
There is a meteor shower coming at the end of the month. Are you ready for it?#PhotoofLI #Meteorshower #Photography #Nightsky
I know its been a while but I am now working on a system to make sure that I am podcasting on a regular basis. So this is our first episode getting back into the swing of things.
I have not fallen off the edge of the earth! To prove that I created a new episode of the Podcast. With a long list of things I want to do with the group, the podcast was number 1 and as you listen you will hear about some other things I want to get done... WANT, being the main word here.Well, listen to this episode and tell me what you think?#photographersofLI #Photography. #LongIsland #Podcast #CamerasandCoffee #LetsGo!
So this is the last of this guys principles. UNITYDo you have unity in your images? What is it anyway? I am not sure I have a clue. but we are going to talk about it here for a few minutes. If you would like to read the entire article on Composition in Photography you can do that a HERE.I think after the holidays, if you are all still interested in this topic, I will continue to talk about but you need to let me know, So tell me what you want me to talk abut next in the comments below.Don't forget our website: www.PhotographerofLI.com Its full of great information to help you expand your photography journey.#Photography #Podcasting #PhotographyPodcast #LongIslandPhotogtraphy
So here we are again, a principle that I find stupid. But that's just me. DO you pay attention to the rhythm in your scenes? Do you even know what to look for? I know I don't, but lets talk about it for a minute.#Podcasting #Photography #LongIslandPhotography #Photographypodcast
Now this is an interesting principle because when using proportions in an images he is talking about making sure everything within that image is of the right proportion. Is it something I have paid attention to? No, but then I don't remember ever noticing an image that had something within it that seems out of proportion. Like I said, its an interesting principle. www.PhotographerofLI.com where we give you what your looking to find. #Podcast #weeklypodcast #TopicTuesday #Photography #Photographypodcast
Ok, os I really though that this one was stupid, but then maybe I just didn't understand what we was referring too. But adding a pattern to create a well composited image, all has to depend on how that pattern is introduced. Maybe I can explain it better if you listen..... #Podcast #Photographypodcast #LongIslandPhotography
So we are still talking about composition within photography and one of the 8 principles I read in na article, says that movement is one of them. I believe it can be, but it also depends on a great many factors within the images as well. Listen and you will hear what I am talking about.www.PhotographerofLI.com is a website I created for us. Its a place to learn more, and meet other photographer in our area, you should check it out. #podcasting #podcast #Photography @photographypodcast @Longislandphotography
The 8 principle of composition in Art is a very interesting way of looking at how to improve your composition. Its part of a larger article I read, which I may continue to pull apart and discuss here, but for now we are talking about this one part.Focus is #3 in is list of 8 and I think it doesn't necessarily have to be that important. What od you think? Let me know in the comments below.#Photography #Podcasting #Photographypodcast #LongIsland #LongIslandPhotography
To continue on with the conversation about filters and the "idea" of "straight out of camera", I talked with John Lamont. John is more of the creative side (I think he is anyway) when it comes to photography, and I wanted to hear what he thought about the subject.John is really one of my favorite people to talk photography with and to even go out with because is eye, just as one of our younger members, seeing things vastly different and takes on "projects" that are of the most interesting type. He uses photography as a way to express himself, and that is where the creativity of photography changes. Well, anyway, listen to the conversation and I can tell you know that John and I will probably have a few more conversations like this in the future. To see John's website, blog that we talk about here, you just need to go HERE.
So in this list of the 8 Principles of Composition in Art, we are talking about #2 today and that is contrast. This one I find very interesting and I would agree that its something you should consider while compositing your image, but can you get away without it? Let me know in the comments below.Visit our website at www.PhotographersofLI.com to see all the great bits of information we offer to all of you.#podcast #photographyPodcast #Compostioninphotography
A few days ago a great topic was brought up on the Sun Chasers page in regards to filters and people posting images "straight out of the camera".There are some great views on the subject, one of which came from Rick Berk a photographer that I think a lot of us know here. He moved up to Maine a few years back but does keep in touch with a lot of us so I thought talking with him about this subject would be great for the podcast. Now like I said, Rick is in Maine and I am here on Long Island so there re a few sports during the interview where the sounds gets a little wonky, so stick with it. I think my internet connection isn't the best for long range interviews via Zoom, but its still a great conversation.Don't forget to visit the PhotographersofLI.com website to see a lot of other things we talk about in regards to photography, and subscribe to it so that you can receive information about up coming interviews before they go public. To see some of Rick Berks work you can visit his page HERE.
