Miranda Aisling, pronounced ash-lean, (she/her/hers) is an interdisciplinary artist, community organizer, entrepreneur, and author. In 2013, she launched her book Don’t Make Art, Just Make Something which became the subject of a TEDx talk the following year. She joins host Joey Phoenix on the podcast to talk about tiny houses, how to make friends as an adult, and how not to edit ourselves out of existence. 

Jacob DeGeal and Lauren Smedley of Creative Blocks are the new Artists in Residence for this year's cohort on Artists' Row. With more than 10 years of experience in their respective fields, Lauren in Museums and Jacob in interactive design, the two have been plotting ways for Salem residents to engage with social distancing in a way that's playful and inviting, rather than disconcerting. They join Joey Phoenix on the podcast to talk about the importance of getting feedback from the community when designing popup infrastructure and functional public art and what it means exactly to be Wayfinding Artists. 

Stephanie “Espy” Espinal is an Afro-Latina New England freelance photographer and videographer. She also teaches Jazz, Contemporary, and Musical Theater in Burlington when she's not out capturing the world.  Today Espy joins Joey Phoenix on the podcast to talk about her role in this project, her path to becoming a visual artist, and some of her thoughts on life, the universe, and everything.

Lauren Snatched Cameron is the owner and event producer of Snatched Entertainment. A Jamaican native and an alum of Suffolk University Sawyer Business School, she started producing events in 2008 and has since taken the Boston Nightlife Industry by storm, an industry, we will observe, that tends to be completely dominated by men.  She joins Joey Phoenix on the podcast to talk about SatHERDayz, how to produce events during quarantine, and some of the challenges she’s faced being a Black womxn in the entertainment business.

Bekah Jordan is a jill-of-all-trades director, producer, writer, designer, teacher, installation artist, and performer. She joins Joey Phoenix on the podcast today to talk about art as a lifeline, children's literature, and how well-produced theatre can ruin your life in the best way. Bekah Jordan is the Executive Artistic Director of the 5th Wall Immersive Theatre Company and the co-founder of small film and media production company NB productions. She also facilitates several online writing groups including Unspoken Ink through Lacuna Loft: an online organization for young adult cancer survivors. 

Jessica Murdock joins Joey Phoenix on the podcast today to talk about starting what you finish and creating art through all seasons of life. There will also be a bit about her rescue doggo Pixie, who is featured in many of her art pieces, and her life as a multi-field essential worker. Ashley Nunez is an artist, weaver of stories, and the creatrix behind Old Growth Alchemy, a virtual goblin stall filled to bursting with tisanes, botanical libations, and sensual ephemera. Taylor Popek, The Jellyfish Lady, joins Joey Phoenix on The Chaos Within to talk about deep-sea creatures, creativity in the everyday, and maintaining a healthy mental biome. Taylor Popek is a Beverly-MA based crochet artist, illustrator, and an alum of Montserrat College of Art. Known as “The Jellyfish Lady, Taylor makes whimsical and adorable fabric creations inspired by the monsters of the deep ocean. Her primary focuses are invertebrates and cephalopods – so jellyfish, squid, octopodes, and creepy critters, but also the occasional angler fish. 

Lisa Ann Schraffa Santin, the host of the Wardrobe Muse Podcast, joins Joey Phoenix on The Chaos Within Podcast to talk about choosing the things that serve you (and getting rid of things that don't), being realistic about your limitations, and finding joy in the details.

Kristen Higgins is a portrait photographer based in Lowell, MA, an alum of The New York Institute of Photography, and the owner of K.H. Photography. She has a penchant for the strange and strangely beautiful and her work doesn’t really fit into any one category. In 2018, Kristen designed, planned, and shot a concept photoshoot (her first) based on “The World Ender” a song by Lord Huron (a shoot I was happy to be a part of.)  In this podcast she talks about this shoot – see some samples below, dealing with fear, and why fear shouldn’t keep you from just doing the thing.
