A few weeks ago, a musical battle between two LEGENDS from Jamaica and Nigeria caused deep rooted tensions between our communities to stir up once again on the internet. It was exhausting. But something even more exhausting? Black people facing injustices, discrimination, abuse and murder based on the colour of their skin across the globe! In this episode, we wanted to have an open and honest conversation with a good friend about where the divide came from (both an African and Caribbean perspective) but more importantly how we can improve relations with each generation. As we should all recognise, universal unity amongst black people is more powerful than we may think. This was pre-recorded but given the current situation, we will be following this up with a more in-depth discussion regarding #Blacklivesmatter and racial injustices.
