This week on our 180 Day Bible Reading Journey we walked alongside Israel through the conquering days of Joshua and then peered into the beginning of a dramatic time in Israel's history. The time of Judges. With a cycle of Israel choosing Sin (rebellion and idolatry), to judgement (from God typically in the form of oppression), then to their restoration with God (through a deliverer called a Judge). Awaiting redemption from a sexual mistake? Stuck in a sexual mistake right now? This is the study for you, sister. Our Faith it. Promise this week is all of Psalm 130 - awaiting redemption from a God who is full of faithful love and with an abundance of redemption to offer.
No matter our earthly martial status or age, sexual purity is one of the utmost important requirements from God. Consistently throughout scripture God reminds us that sexual sin is different from all other sin, because it is a sin against our own body, the temple and dwelling place for the Holy Spirit. “But he who unites himself with the Lord is one with Him in spirit. Flee from sexual immorality. Every other sin a man can commit is outside his body, but he who sins sexually sins against his own body. Do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own; you were bought at a price. Therefore glorify God with your body.” 1 Corinthians 6:16-20 So in 2020 what does sexual purity look like? Like it always has - looking to Jesus for our fulfillment and using His standard as our standard. It’s drawing a line on what you deem acceptable. From what you watch, listen to, see on social media - to what you physically do even after marriage. Pornography used to be something in secret on the dark web. Now a Facebook post is just as toxic to our sexual purity.
Without the word of God being the platform we’re standing on, we aren’t going to stand very long / our ropes won’t hold and our anchors will uproot. Our confidence in God’s ability to keep the nearly 8,000 promises in His word will begin to grow brittle and cracks are satan’s playground. This is his main tactic against us. If he can chip away our confidence in the validity and importance of every word in the Bible, that’s all he needs to unravel our belief in God in general. This is why sitting on the fence, with one foot in and one foot out - is dangerous and risky. Take a stand, come off the fence, put both feet in the water and “Faith it. Standing on the Promises of God.”.
Moms are you ready for the cringe worthy conversation of how to "Faith it." and have the Sex Talk with our kids? This week we are standing on the promise in Proverbs 4:20-22 "My son [My daughter], pay attention to what I say; turn your ear to my words. Do not let them out of your sight, keep them within your heart; for they are life to those who find them and health to one's whole body." Get ready sisters, it's time for the Birds and the Bees...
God chooses you, Sister. Now chose to "faith it." and walk to Him through and out of your abuse. He promises that you will not be put to shame, that you don’t have to be humiliated, and He won’t leave you disgraced v.4. He says we will forget the shame of our youth and remember not our disgrace. That our Maker is our husband! That He is God of all the earth and still has called us, even those of us who are broken in spirit v.6, to be his bride! That’s enough ladies. That’s more than enough to faith it through our abuse.
Ladies, if we genuinely seek to have marriages with intimacy that reflects what we read about in Genesis chapter two - we will get there. If we want to be completely united with our husbands, then prayer and sex is how that happens. There can’t be any offense standing in the way of that unity. Our faith promise to help us get back to that place, or maybe there for the first time, after infidelity is that selfless love is the greatest tool we have (John 15:13) and that type of love can cover a multitude of sin (1 Peter 4:8). There’s so many aspects of infidelity that the Bible can help us through. This study was focused on how to faith it and get back to a healthy sex life with our husbands, but know this - more episodes will come on this topic. This week’s FAITH TAG is a live Q&A with us Faith it. Women answering the real and tough questions you ladies wrote in about infidelity. Be sure to listen in right after this.

As man’s complement and solution we have a good bit of power.. there’s been plenty of sings written about this power, just about every country song is about a man sick with lust over some woman… we have an immense about of influence because of our sexual nature, because that’s what we were designed to be - man’s partner. We have a great responsibility with this power - as a God created solution we can choose to wheeled that power and lord it over our husbands as punishment or manipulation for attention, or, we can embrace it and create a beautiful marriage centered around mutual respect and trust. And if we will aim to be a solution for our men then we will, as a by product, become his best friend, buddy, and all the other things we crave as women.

No matter what kind of waiting season you are in the Bible gives us clear what "to do's" and what "not to do's". Three Faith it Hosts, two Bible passages, and one major promise...
