The recent end to the 2025 cycling season also marked the end of a stellar career for one of the Isle of Man's top riders.Lizzie Holden recently announced that she was taking the decision to step away from the sport.The Island athlete is one of multiple examples in recent years to take her abilities from the grassroots level on Manx shores right to the top tier of women's cycling.The journey has seen her take a British national title, compete regularly on the Women's WorldTour and take part in the Commonwealth Games just to mention a few accolades.Now, with a chance to reflect on this adventure, she's been speaking to Manx Radio about what her best memories have been in the sport, her decision to retire and also how it feels to be adjusting to a new chapter

It's been another successful couple of months for Island-based mixed martial arts club, Summit Grappling AcademyHaving already excelled in other events throughout the year, one of its star competitors, Hayley Curtis has been adding to the academy's medal tally in Europe in recent weeks.But Curtis isn't the only one continuing to shine on the international stage, and what's more... for the first time... the Isle of Man will play host to some of the world's top grappling competitors next month.We recently caught up with Curtis and the academy's head coach, Conrad Roberts to hear about Hayley's recent successes in Europe and what the club has planned on Island in a few weeks' time
