Is AI coming for your consulting gig or is it the sharp new tool that could actually give you an edge? Today, Michael chats with Michel Fortin, Head of Growth at Consulting Success, and they get real about all this AI buzz. Michel has seen plenty, working with big-league companies on their tech, seven-, eight-figure outfits. He believes the whole "AI will replace consultants" thing is probably overblown, but - and it's a big but - consultants just sticking their heads in the sand about AI might be in for a rude awakening sooner than they think.Michel and Michael really break down this idea. It's not about AI wiping out consulting altogether, it's more about AI sidelining the consultants who don't get with the program. They talk about that human touch - the creative leaps, understanding people's messy problems. AI isn't there yet, not even close, but here's the kicker: thinking AI is just some passing trend is a really bad idea - you could get left in the dust. Michel puts it plainly: "AI will not replace consultants; consultants who know AI will replace consultants." Simple as that.In this episode you will learn about:Why your human smarts and intuition are still gold, and how AI is here to reshape consulting, not scrap it.The real pitfall: not AI itself, but consultants sleeping on how quick AI is changing the game.Using AI smartly across your business – from finding clients to getting work done. The big shift: treating AI like a new team member for faster turnarounds and sharper results.Working through AI's blips and quirks with steady, clear feedback. The RACES method for getting AI to give you what you actually want, plus using AI to fine tune your requests.Figuring out AI's ripple effects – for your clients and for your own consulting shop.Keeping your practice ahead of the curve with guidance like that offered in Clarity Coaching.Mentioned in this episode:Join an Elite Group of Consulting Founders in Montreal for Serious GrowthImagine being in a room where every other 6 or 7-figure consulting founder is as serious about growth as you are.
"Don't underestimate the power of the Second Amendment community."Episode SummaryIn this episode of The Gun Experiment, we are joined by returning guest Kurt Sills, cofounder of Blue Alpha Gear, for an engaging and often humorous roundtable discussion. We kick it off with Keith's maiden voyage using a leather shoulder rig for his 1911, sparking a broader chat about the evolution and challenges of everyday carry (EDC) gear, concealment, and holster innovation.Kurt offers an inside look at Blue Alpha's ongoing efforts to innovate products —especially their focus on lightweight and modular belts, accessories, and the surprising lack of updates in EDC solutions. The trio also tackles recent Second Amendment news, highlighting the small but significant legislative victories around the Hearing Protection Act and how public activism is moving the needle. With current events on the table, they dissect New York's fresh wave of restrictive gun legislation, spotlight Oklahoma's expanded defensive display rights, and weigh the real-world impacts of these laws on self-defense. Lighter moments include racing conversations about the WienerMobile at the Indy 500, wild Florida man antics, and speculation about the CIA using Star Wars fan sites for covert communication.Throughout, the episode explores themes of innovation, community activism, self-reliance, and the constant battle for free speech on and off campus.Call to Action1. But it's not all wreckage—Scott's also a serious racer, taking on 25-hour enduros in Europe and flying the Aussie flag at Spa and Donington. Send us a text#332 - There are long races, Cocodona 350, Vol State 500k, and then there's the Sri Chinmoy Self-Transcendence 3100 Mile Race. This race is like no other. It is as much a personal journey into self discovery as it is a foot race. But it is still a race and if you decide this is the race for you, it will push you farther than you have ever been before. And if you complete it, you may find yourself returning year after year. Those who do it every year, return again and again. This week, I talk about why this race is so special and how it stands apart from all other footraces. All links are on the show website. We are back after a spring break here at the Rodeo Labs Podcast with a brand new season of stories for your ears. Everything from tech to adventures will be discussed this summer as we head back to the (podcasting) lab to delve into things we are getting up to. Fortunately for us, Stephen gave us a great place to start with a win at the recent Pinyons and Pines nano-ultra bike-packing race around Flagstaff, Arizona! Not only was it a win, but Stephen managed to do it on the Project Denver Show Pony, a prototype mountain bike that Rodeo is reaching, developing, and making right here in our Colorado home. Logan and Stephen get in-depth into the race, Stephen's eclectic racing career, why the draw to race persists, and what Project Denver means in this crazy economic climate, the bike industry is currently facing. Segment 1: Introduction to Trail RunningFirst off, what exactly is trail running? Unlike road running, which takes place on paved surfaces, trail running occurs on natural terrains like dirt paths, rocky trails, and through beautiful forests and mountains. Not only does trail running offer breathtaking views, but it also provides a more challenging workout as you navigate uneven surfaces, elevation changes, and natural obstacles.Segment 2: Benefits of Trail RunningNow, let's discuss some benefits of trail running. One of the most significant advantages is the lower impact on your joints compared to road running. The soft surfaces can be easier on your feet and legs, helping to reduce the risk of injury.Additionally, being out in nature promotes mental well-being, reduces stress, and enhances your overall connection with your environment. Plus, the varied terrain engages different muscles, helping to improve your strength and balance.Segment 3: Getting Started with Trail RunningHost:So, if you're new to trail running, how do you get started? Here are some key tips:Choose the Right Gear: Invest in a good pair of trail running shoes with appropriate traction and cushioning. Consider wearing moisture-wicking apparel and carrying a hydration pack, especially for longer runs.Start Slow: Begin with shorter, less technical trails to build your confidence. As you become more comfortable, gradually increase your distance and tackle more challenging terrains.Learn Trail Etiquette: Be respectful of the environment and fellow trail users. Stay on marked paths, yield to hikers, and pack out what you bring in.Segment 4: Training for Trail UltramarathonsHost:Now, let's talk about how to prepare for trail ultramarathons. An ultramarathon is any race longer than the traditional marathon distance of 26.2 miles. To effectively train:Build a Solid Base: Start with your regular running routine, ensuring you have a solid base of mileage before adding in the ultra-specific training.Long Runs: Incorporate long runs into your training, ideally on trails similar to your race course. Gradually increase the distance, aiming to have a few runs of 20 miles or more as part of your training plan.Vertical Gain Training: Ultramarathons often involve significant elevation gain. Include hill workouts in your training, whether it's running hills or utilizing incline on a treadmill.Segment 5: Nutrition and Hydration StrategiesHost:Nutrition is critical during both training and on race day. Learn what works for you through trial and error during your training runs.Pre-run fuel: Make sure you consume a meal rich in carbohydrates before long runs.During the run: Use energy gels, chews, or whole foods like bananas or nut butters for sustained energy.Hydration: Pay attention to your hydration needs. Carry water or electrolyte drinks and learn how often you need to refuel during your runs.Segment 6: Mental Preparedness and Race Day TipsHost:Now let's not forget the mental aspect of trail ultramarathons. Ultras require strong mental resilience:Visualization: Picture yourself successfully navigating the course to build confidence.Pacing: Start slow and find a rhythm. It's crucial to conserve energy, especially in the early stages of the race.On race day, arrive early, check your gear, and familiarize yourself with the course if possible. Trust your training, and remember, it's okay to have fun and enjoy the experience!
