I'm currently in a*dying* stage of a Death-Rebirth cycle. I've been in this stage for a few months now.An increasingly fascinating stage to be, and truly a rather fun place to be, but also a very difficult stage to be in, as ingrained beliefs have been rising to the surface at rapid speed to be examined. One of the tendencies I've been up against is black and white thinking. I see this in myself and within others on similar paths -- where once they have a taste of the beyond, of the spiritual path, suddenly all of humanity is demonized and made to look inferior. What we forget in these moments is that we, in our Divine nature, CHOSE to become human. SO THAT we could experience the dirty, painful, raw, messy, chaotic, nasty nature of humanity. When we reject this part of us, which encompasses 50% of who we are, we only create more suffering for ourselves. This Earthly life is about integration of our Divine nature with our Earth soul. --Connect with me on Instagram @iammelodychuangFacebook: Melody ChuangFor coaching, send me an email:melodychuang.coaching@gmail.com
After a year-long hiatus, my heart has made herself loud and clear: she wants to be revealed. In 2020 I've done some of my deepest work yet, and it's only getting deeper -- unwinding and unraveling the beliefs and stories of my ego, so that I can meet and touch and feel the truth that lies underneath.I've been asking myself: - Who would I be without that story?- Who would I be without this identity? - What is the truth underneath this defense mechanism? As I traversed this path, I've wanted to go into hiding... not wanting to poke my head out until I made it out the other end. Until I was 100% in connection with my deeper truth. This, of course, was a story from my ego, wanting to me to stay within the fantasy of perfection and not BE messy. To not simply BE, and not allow my essence to be showcased exactly as it wants to. There is no end point. Waiting to live until I'm *there* is a way that my ego had been trying to keep my current identity secure. With that, I felt a lightness in coming back to share my unraveling, to allow my heart to be revealed, to explore the messiness and meet myself where I am at. To make aware all the places that keep me in hiding. --Connect with me on Instagram @iammelodychuangFacebook: Melody ChuangTo work with me 1:1, send me an email: melodychuang.coaching@gmail.com
In today's episode, we chat with Emily Bott, Food Freedom & Body Image Coach on how to set boundaries around binge drinking, specifically while in college. I've spoken about this before on a previous episode - I have struggled with not knowing when to stop when it came to drinking while in college. Emily shares her story on how she's had to learn to set healthy structure around social drinking, especially with her involvement in college Greek life. If you are currently in college and struggle with creating healthy boundaries around partying, this one's for you! ---Find Emily Bott on Instagram at @letsgetem___(** Note: three underscores!)---WORK WITH ME: https://melodychuang.com/work-with-meINSTAGRAM: @iammelodychuangEMAIL: melodychuang.coaching@gmail.com

In this episode, I discuss the importance of creating a structure so that you can allow your feminine energy to flow safely. Without structure leading your energy, your energy will be directionless, flowing wildly and crazily with no path to go on. This will cause a sense of insecurity and a lack of safety for the feminine energy, as she requires that masculine strength to guide her. Within life, you "get in flow" when you have structure. For example: It's easiest to allow yourself to "be" when you set a timer so that you're not just "being" indefinitely (bc that is a scary thought to many Type A-ers!).It's easiest to allow yourself to do a brain dump when you tell yourself it's just for 5 minutes in the morning. It's easiest to allow yourself to throw a sacred tantrum (as my coach calls it) when you give yourself only 60 seconds. IDGAF if this is the *right* way. It's the easiest way. And I'm going to be frank - I'm over making "the work" hard just to seem more enlightened. There are easier ways to improve life, yall. There are ways to do things that bring quicker, sustainable results. Listen to this week's podcast episode to hear more. Today's podcast was so much fun for me to record! On today's show, Janessa and I dive into the topic of veganism, and touch on the recent trend of popular vegan YouTubers quitting veganism. Back in my diet obsessed days, I spent so many hours watching vegan YouTubers. To me, they seemed to be the true manifestation of "spiritual being in human form". The natural lifestyle, the high vibes, the sympathy... But my intention for chasing veganism was completely for the wrong reason. Janessa was a member of this community, and sheds light on why she decided to step away from veganism, and how eating her first hamburger in 4 years felt like a full-body ORGASM.**DISCLAIMER: We discuss veganism in the sense of how morality is placed on diets. In no way, shape, or form do I intend on shaming/dissing the vegan diet. My opinions are my own.Janessa Dalalana is a Food Freedom & Self Love Coach. Welcome BACK to the Honor Your Body Podcast! For the first episode of 2020, we're diving into what self-care is and is NOT. In my humble opinion, social media and the wellness culture have over-glamorized self-care to be a set of luxurious, comfortable, indulgent acts... and while that's all beautiful and well, it's not emphasized enough that much of self-care is actually not so glamorous and fun.Self-care can look like setting your alarm clock earlier so you can ensure you meet work deadlines.Self-care can look like blocking time in your calendar to move your body.Self-care can look like walking your dog in 20-degree weather, when you would much rather curl up with a cup of cocoa + binge Netflix. Self-care can look like investing $$$ in yourself even when the idea of spending money makes you want to poop your pantsSelf-care can look like going to the dentist when you REALLY, REALLY DON'T WANT TO...This year, I'm committed to focusing on the basics of self-care: taking appropriate action for my long-term health on a physical, emotional, and spiritual level, getting organized, and laser-focusing on my mission and life goals. All with deep, juicy pleasure as I move through the structure I'm enforcing. ---The Body Acceptance Academy FREE course is now open for enrollment! On today's episode, I discuss how accepting your body isn't a one-and-done item to work on, it is a lifelong skill to cultivate. Our brains are wired for survival, not thriving. If you have been body-loathing for many years, your brain finds that comfortable. It will take practice and consistency to get your mind to move to a place of body neutrality. In this episode, I give you a practical framework on how to change the thoughts you have around your body, which then changes the way you feel about your body.I teach you how to create neutral thoughts around your body, so that you can free up mental and emotional space for topics other than your body. In this episode, we dive into what's almost never discussed -- what happens after you heal from body image issues? Does life turn into sunshine and roses? Body image issues are usually the first layer of wounding, and healing that first layer brings you one step closer into the root wounds that most of us operate from. In this episode, Melody goes into a method to cultivate the feeling of safety and security within your body, without reaching for anything external. For those who struggle with food and body image, much of that comes from a feeling of not being safe, not being protected. If we can give ourselves this feeling, we will no longer need to cope. If we can accept the parts of us that we have been ashamed of, that opens the body to a whole new level of self-acceptance. Instagram: @honoryourbodyWebsite: www.melodychuang.com
