When it comes to our health and fitness, we tend to make it sooo damn complicated. This isn't necessarily our fault. We are constantly bombarded with information from coaches and influencers on social media, to health and wellness companies trying to sell us the ‘next best thing'. It's exhausting, overwhelming, and honestly..I'm OVER IT!I've been on my fitness journey for over 16 years now, and I've learned how powerful REPETITION is.No, it's not the *sexiest* topic, or super exciting. It's actually pretty boring..but that's not a bad thing either! We tend to overcomplicate pretty much everything with our health and fitness - simplicity tends to throw us off, because we always think we need to be doing something ‘new' or ‘different'. Really, we're just adding more to our plates, but it's not *actually* helping us in the long-term.Both your workouts + your nutrition don't need to be ‘fun and flashy' all the time - you shouldn't be looking for a new workout program every month, or new recipes to make every single week! For your meals, find what works best for you and your family, and keep simple staple foods on hand (these have been a game-changer for me over the years)! At the end of the day, consistent, repetitive habits ARE what will lead you to success (this is applicable to many areas of your life). Stay focused, stop over complicating everything, and embrace the routine and repetition on your fitness journey! In this episode, we cover:Why our fitness journey has become so damn complicatedKeeping it ‘simple' with our health & fitness + why we tend to always be looking for the ‘next thing'The one MAJOR thing that simplified my fitness journey + made it doable for me long-termUnderstanding that your workouts won't (and shouldn't) always be ‘fun and flashy'Uncomplicating your meals and nutrition so it's not such a struggleThe simple mindset shift I made regarding my food & mealsHow staple foods can help you tremendously + my go-to staple foodsLinks/Resources:1st Phorm Level-1 Protein Powder1st Phorm Clear Protein1st Phorm Protein barsBuilt bars code: KRISTYCASTILLOFIT for 10% off!Join FIT CLUB, my monthly membership with workouts you can do at home or the gymPRIVATE COACHING is my 1:1 program (choose 3 or 6 month option)Connect with me on Instagram @kristycastillofit and @unfuckyourfitnesspodcast so we can keep this conversation going-be sure to tag me in your posts and stories!Join my FREE Facebook group, Unf*ck Your FitnessClick HERE for my favorite fitness & life things!

Redefining success is an empowering process that leads to genuine fulfillment. By embracing internal journeys, focusing on intrinsic motivations, and valuing inherent worth, individuals can break free from societal pressures and achieve a more balanced and meaningful life.Redefining success begins with Unlocking ConfidenceConfidence is a cornerstone of personal and professional success, yet many struggle to define or cultivate it.Confidence and success are two words often thrown around in the world of coaching and personal development. However, their true definitions go beyond surface-level interpretations. Delving deep into these concepts can reveal profound insights and strategies essential for coaches and their clients. This blog post encapsulates a recent enlightening conversation, providing valuable takeaways for those seeking to transform their approach to confidence and success. What is True Confidence?Confidence often feels like an elusive quality that many strive to define and cultivate. Rachel Brooks says it's not just about exterior accomplishments or outward appearances. True confidence starts within.Rachel elaborates that real confidence is about sifting through life experiences to discern what serves us in the present moment. It's about validating what's inherently valuable and beautiful within oneself, something easily dismissed in the rush of daily life. The Journey WithinConfidence, like many admired traits, starts from within. This journey often involves rediscovering and nurturing an inner spark that life's challenges might have dimmed. Individuals can gradually transform their external realities by focusing on what's within. The Power of StruggleThe butterfly's struggle to escape its cocoon is a perfect analogy. This struggle is not just a hardship but a necessary process that enables the butterfly to develop strength. Similarly, life's challenges, traumas, and societal pressures shape us as individuals and can lead us to evolve into more confident and capable versions of ourselves.Redefining SuccessThe concept of success often correlates with achievements and external validation. However, we challenge you to redefine your definition of success and focus on the importance of fulfillment.Fulfillment is subjective and varies from person to person. It's an art that requires introspection and alignment with one's core values and purpose. Rather than working to acquire accolades, focus on finding genuine fulfillment in your daily activities. Redefining success by focusing on what brings you joy is part of how you can uniquely bring your gifts to your coaching clients and others.About Rachel BrooksRachel Brooks is a multi-passionate entrepreneur, speaker, author, and podcaster. She founded and created "The Confident Woman," a lifestyle and media brand focused on empowering and equipping women with the tools and resources they need to create lasting change from within. Her journey and expertise provide a solid foundation for her message: true confidence comes from within, and every woman has the potential to rediscover and amplify it.Rachel's WebsiteAdditional ResourcesStrategies To Expand Your Coaching Tool BoxMaster Coach TrainingAccess all links and read the full show notes

I cannot know the deeper forces at work within anyone's heart. My deliverance comes from accepting all people, not judging or controlling them.I pray that when I am tempted to speak or act without charity, that God's spirit will correct my thoughts. I pray to be an instrument of love by which people are reminded of their innocence, not an instrument of blame that reminds them of their guilt. I do this for my own sake, that I too might be released from feelings of guilt that would otherwise bind me.It is not my job to monitor anyone's journey, to know what's right or wrong for others, or to try to control their behavior. Hello and welcome to episode 113 of Grow with Soul. Today I am catching up with Sarah Fraser who, when we first met her back in episode 44, was just in the beginning phases of setting up her book editing services alongside her day job as a teacher. Over the last 2 years, Sarah has been on a hell of a journey, discovering that the big picture of book editing was actually completely draining her and was really heavy, and she's now pivoted into a completely different kind of business. We talk about the process of realising when something isn't right, how the 'shoulds' sneak up on us, the pressure of having a capital B Business, mixing identity with our work, and how Sarah managed to turn towards the joy. What we talk about in this episode: Backing yourself into an identity cornerOverriding our intuition because we think business 'should' be a struggleThe release in pressure that being experimental brings as opposed to meticulously planningSounding like yourself onlineFinding a flow for your energy, rather than your skillsFor links and resources discussed in the show, see the full show notes.Kayte on Instagram Sarah on InstagramSubscribe to my newsletter!

Being a stay at home mother that has been hit with quite a few bumps along the way, things just never really worked out quite like she planned. Her first book details the history behind her upbringing and a lot of the struggles and triumphs she has seen along the way. Writing was and always will be something that is very close to her heart. But, in the long run it just never seemed that she was able to finish what she started. Until it came to what she knew best. Her own life. So finally she took the plunge bought a computer in December of 2019. Shortly thereafter she pumped out her very first published work in just a little over 2 months. Start to finish it was unbelievable that she actually had accomplished something that she had only dreamed of doing. With physical issues, chronic illness, and what seemed like everything else just holding her back she knew that God's timing was always right on cue. Vigor Life Podcast · EP103: Lessons on Overcoming Adversity, Leadership, and Creating Success w/ Martin Rooney It's the third (and definitely not the last) time that Martin Rooney will be on the show. Martin never disappoints. With his decades of experience in the industry he shares wisdom on everything from how to navigate difficult times and show up as a leader, to turning adversity into triumph, tactics and strategies to be productive and come out on top, and the many many lessons found in his new (must read!) book, Coach to Coach. We also talk about the most important aspect we should all be focusing on right now: connection – whether it be business or personal. Let's go. IN THIS EPISODE YOU’LL LEARN The most important question being pressed into our homes is “revealing”The weaknesses this experience is revealing about our financial situations, careers, family, relationships, health, daily routines and disciplinesThe two factors that control whether you’ll be stressed, anxious, and stuck in the same place or go backwardsHow the magnifying glass that has been put on upon us can create awareness that is a catalyst to changeThe analogy of the caterpillar and the butterfly and why you can’t succeed without the struggleThe 3 P’s we use to develop confidence and specific examples of how you can build yoursWhy you’re not dreaming big enough and what we think about the law of attraction (is it all BS?!)What Martin believes has been the most productive thing in his life and how you may be missing it in yoursDuring crisis you don’t get to build culture, but you can start now building it for the next timeThe one “C” that is the foundation of everything whether personal or business and how/why it will stand the test of time no matter what happens with technologyWhat to watch when you're having a down day and want to get fired up in the morningThe principles and foundations of world class coaching and how to light a fire in your belly for this incredible vocation And much, much more. This program is a mix of poetry, music, and various interviews with and on Amiri Baraka that focus on exploring the organic nature of and practical application of forms of resistance. The underlining premise of exploration is centered upon asking the simple question: How can culture be used as a platform for critiquing and creating a world beyond struggle? This organic process of thinking and doing is central to Africana sociopolitical thought that informs its resistance. The cornerstone of critical consciousness formation. The program ends with a conversation I had with Tom Porter, who represents the Black Radical Tradition in all of its manifestations. A close friend of Amiri Baraka, Professor Porter is still, today, an important activist intellectual who has contributed his life to fighting for a world beyond struggle. A veteran activist, educator, radio host and jazz critic, Tom Porter has run for political office in Ohio, served as Director of Antioch Graduate program, and runs a jazz music promotion organization. Our show was produced today in solidarity with the native, indigenous, and Afro-descended communities at Standing Rock; Venezuela; Cooperation Jackson in Jackson, Mississippi; Brazil; the Avalon Village in Detroit; Colombia; Kenya; Palestine; South Africa; and Ghana; and other places who are fighting for the protection of our land for the benefit of all people.
