I'm going on tour! Come see The School of Greatness LIVE in person!Get my new book Make Money Easy here! Most of us unknowingly live under what family therapy expert Jerry Wise calls "the family trance" – a powerful force that shapes our identity without our awareness. After 45 years helping thousands break free from dysfunctional family patterns, Jerry reveals how our adult struggles often stem from inherited emotional programming that creates a "malignant normalcy" within us. Through our conversation, he shares the revolutionary concept of self-differentiation – the courageous process of separating your true self from your family's expectations while remaining emotionally connected. When Jerry states "whatever issues I leave unresolved, who gets to resolve them? My children," I realized this might be the most transformative conversation we've had about breaking generational patterns. His profound insight that "it's never too late to have a happy childhood" offers hope to anyone trapped in cycles of criticism, people-pleasing, or emotional reactivity that originated in their family system.Get Jerry's Free 84-Minute 'Self-Differentiation' TrainingGet more from Jerry on YouTubeIn this episode you will learn:Why criticizing yourself harshly is often your "family self" talking, not your authentic voiceHow to identify if you had narcissistic parents and what that means for your adult relationshipsThe three levels of resistance you'll face when changing family dynamics and how to overcome themWhy trying to change your parents is futile, but changing yourself transforms the entire systemThe difference between setting outer boundaries and the crucial inner boundaries needed for healingHow the "fantasy" of finally getting parental approval keeps many adults emotionally stuckWhy it's never too late to have a happy childhood through self-parenting and inner child workThe three core elements needed for lasting change: self-awareness, self-regulation, and self-differentiationFor more information go to https://www.lewishowes.com/1747For more Greatness text PODCAST to +1 (614) 350-3960More SOG episodes we think you'll love:Gabby Bernstein – greatness.lnk.to/1714SCJason Wilson  – greatness.lnk.to/1725SCMel Robbins – greatness.lnk.to/1710SC Get more from Lewis! It had grown into her primary coping mechanism that led her down a path of disconnection from self and the world around her. She hid her addiction for years, suffering in silence, while presenting an image of happiness, sheltered by her achievements and the facade of a normal life. Her recovery journey was on and off for almost 6 years until she found freedom through sobriety a few months before her 31st birthday. The pain of active addiction had finally come to head for her and outweighed the fear of change and a life without alcohol and drugs. Now, Rachel is a dedicated sober and wellness coach who specializes in helping high-achieving individuals struggling with their relationship with alcohol. She integrates health and fitness into her coaching, viewing them as key pillars in both her own recovery and the journeys of those she helps. Rachel takes a progressive approach to alcohol, seeing substance abuse as a spectrum. She believes that you don't need to hit a dramatic “rock bottom” to make the choice to remove alcohol from your life. Whether you're exploring the benefits of an alcohol-free lifestyle or facing deeper struggles, Rachel supports her clients in breaking free from the toxic cycle of drinking. Through self-awareness, inner-child work, and rewiring the subconscious mind, she empowers them to create lasting change. In this episode, we discuss:Rachel's story Why we don't need a "rock-bottom" to get soberAlternative recovery roadmaps outside of AA / NASubconscious programming around alcoholInner child workThe connection between trauma & addictionReplacing substances with new coping mechanismsHelping others on their sober journeySee links below to connect with Rachel and find out more about her work.Website: coachwithrach.comInstagram: @soberfitrach__Disclaimer: The content of this podcast is not intended to be a substitute for professional medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment.

Expect a mix of deep insights, unfiltered creative banter, and some extremely questionable experiments—including whether it's possible to stackso many moodboards that Midjourney just gives up.Along the way, they tackleJapanese movie posters, holographic album covers, and the future of AI video, while exposing thereal struggle: resisting the urge to spend hours going down theMidjourney rabbit hole. They also touch onwhy most people are using mood boards all wrong, the biggest mistakes to avoid, and how to use them to unlock insane image quality without breaking your brain. If you've ever found yourself saying, “Okay, just one more re-roll” and then waking up three hours later surrounded by surreal AI-generated chaos… this one's for you.

Gank That Drank: A Supernatural Drinking Game Podcast

God Finally Shows His Face: Chuck Returns in Supernatural's "Don't Call Me Shurley"In this eye-opening episode of Gank That Drank, hosts Krissy Lenz and Nate McWhortor dive deep into one of Supernatural's most pivotal episodes - Season 11, Episode 20, "Don't Call Me Shurley." This game-changing installment finally confirms what fans had long suspected: Chuck is God, and he's been hiding in plain sight all along. The episode masterfully balances two parallel storylines. While Sam and Dean deal with a mysterious fog that's turning people violent in Hope Springs, Idaho, the real meat of the episode takes place in a bar where Chuck/God summons Metatron to edit his autobiography. Through their intense discussions, we get unprecedented insight into God's relationship with creation, humanity, and his sister Amara.Rob Benedict delivers one of his finest performances as Chuck/God, particularly during a confrontation where Metatron calls him a coward for abandoning his creation. The episode culminates in a powerful moment where Chuck performs "Fare Thee Well" (Dink's Song), leading to Dean's amulet glowing and confirming his divine identity.Key Topics Covered:The drinking game rules: Pop culture references, black veins, Amara mentions, fog appearances, and Chuck solosMetatron's transformation from antagonist to humanity's advocateChuck's revelation about his relationship with Amara and why he created the universeThe parallel between Chuck's autobiography and the show's writers commenting on their own workThe return of Dean's amulet and its significanceDiscussion of the episode's deeper themes about facing one's demons and the importance of fighting for creationKrissy and Nate's entertaining commentary and drinking game format make this complex episode more accessible while highlighting its significance to the series' overall mythology. As they note, this episode marks a turning point in Supernatural's narrative, setting up Chuck's eventual transformation from savior to villain in later seasons.Whether you're a longtime fan or new to the series, this episode of Gank That Drank offers invaluable insights into one of Supernatural's most crucial moments. St. Teresa of Ávila (1515-1582) was a sixteenth-century Spanish nun and one of the most influential mystics in all of Church history, writing two spiritual classics still read today: The Way of Perfection and The Interior Castle. Her autobiography (more accurately, a confession to Spanish Inquisitors) is The Life of St. Teresa of Avila, detailing her spiritual experiences of the love of God.In this episode, Evan Rosa welcomes Carlos Eire (T. Lawrason Riggs Professor of History and Religious Studies at Yale University) for a discussion of how to read St. Teresa of Ávila, exploring the historical, cultural, philosophical, and theological aspects of her life and writing, and offering insights and close readings of several selections from her classic confession-slash-autobiography, known as La Vida, or The Life.About Carlos EireCarlos Eire is T.
