You've felt it, haven't you? That creeping realization that the therapy world you trained for is disappearing faster than you can adapt.Maybe you've watched TikTok "healers" with zero qualifications book out $2000 programs while you're drowning in twelve-month waitlists and Medicare paperwork.Maybe you've seen colleagues burn out, leave the profession, or settle for jobs that barely pay the bills—despite having skills that could transform lives at scale. What if I told you that staying in your lane isn't protecting your career—it's limiting it?While we follow every rule and stay perfectly compliant, the world around us is shifting at lightning speed. But here's what I know: you don't have to watch from the sidelines while everything changes around you.In this episode, I reveal:Why your clinical training is actually your innovation advantage (not a business liability)The identity shift from "just a therapist" to therapeutic innovator that unlocks new possibilitiesHow one OT went from maternity leave panic to earning more than her clinic job in 6 monthsThe 20% rule that creates revenue resilience without abandoning your clinical workReal math: how a simple 4-week group program can generate $8K annually in additional incomeThe ethical visibility framework that gets you found without getting you in trouble with registration boardsThe three-sentence future bio exercise that clarifies your next-level positioningMicro-actions you can implement this week (not someday when you have more time)Bottom Line: The difference between therapists who thrive in the next decade and those who get left behind isn't clinical skills—we've all got those. It's the willingness to evolve your identity, diversify your revenue, and show up visibly in service of the people who need your help.

Leave an Amazon Rating or Review for my New York Times Bestselling book, Make Money Easy! When Gene Simmons tells me about surviving concentration camps through his mother's courage, I realize this isn't just another rock star story—it's an American dream forged in fire. The KISS frontman takes me on a journey from a Hungarian refugee who couldn't speak English to building one of the most recognizable brands on earth, more famous than Mount Rushmore itself. What strikes me most is his raw honesty about the price of success, from decades of reckless behavior to finally learning commitment at 62, and his mother's fearless escape to America that taught him the work ethic that built an empire. Today I'm talking about something so important that very few podcast coaches and experts are talking about. Every podcaster will face this at some point, and usually it happens during the first few months after starting a podcast.  It's the 3 phases of a podcast, and what successful podcasters do so they don't give up.What you'll learn in this episode:The 3 phases every podcast goes throughThe mindset that successful podcasters adopt Why chasing downloads leads to giving upHow to call BS on your podfade brain Why most podcasters give up after the first few monthsThe successful podcaster, who is playing the long game ... who's like the craftswoman at work, has realized the immense impact their podcast is making for not only for their clients, but for themselves too, and they are all-in on doing it for the process, not the outcome.Featured in this episode:Melissa Parsons, host of Your Favorite You Podcast AIS episode of Everyone Loves RaymondI take ONE new podcast launch client per month because this how I keep the highest quality in my work, the white glove treatment for YOU.Invest in the podcast you want to give to the world.Support the Show. Wondering how you can get more clients in your private practice? You're going to love this episode of Private Practice Success Stories! I sat down with Melissa Perez, a speech-language pathologist with a private practice called Honeybee Speech in El Centro, California. She decided to start her private practice after experiencing burnout from teletherapy and discovering the Start Your Private Practice program in 2022.Melissa has been one of our Start Start students who recently joined The Grow Your Private Practice Program. Melissa grew quickly, quicker than she thought she would. In this episode, she talks about how she went from zero to 30 clients in the first 3 months of starting her practice. Melissa shares how she started out by renting a dentist's waiting room for $50 a month, and expanded her practice through referrals and taking small, consistent steps.Melissa Perez graduated with a Masters of Science in Communicative Sciences and Disorders from New York University in May of 2020. She has spent the majority of their career working as a teletherapist for a clinic based in Palm Desert, CA. There, she had the opportunity to work with individuals across the lifespan with various communication difficulties. It was during her time there that she found a true love for working with children with speech sound disorders and the early intervention population. Once the idea of opening a private practice popped into her head, she knew they wanted to focus on those two areas. To date, it has been 8 months since she opened her private practice and it was truly the best decision she ever made.In Today's Episode, We Discuss:Why Melissa decided that private practice was right for herHow her private practice took offWhy you don't have to start big, you can start small How Melissa went from 0-30 clients in 3 monthsThe shift from traditional employment to fully self-employedThe cool things that Melissa has on the horizon for her private practiceWhy other practices aren't your competitionWhere Melissa gets her clients The power of running your practice like a businessI hope you enjoyed this episode with Melissa! I love how she found a way to grow her practice through a variety of referrals and by taking small, consistent steps in the right direction. If you would like to know more about our Programs and how we help support SLPs and OTs who want our help to start and grow their practices, please visit www.IndependentClinician.com/resources.Whether you want to start a private practice or grow your existing private practice, I can help you get the freedom, flexibility, fulfillment, and financial abundance that you deserve. And Karisse thought that one particular section of the report needs to be talked about, even before the report is published. And that is: The results of the questions surrounding false declines/insult ratesIn this episode, Karisse will provide a deep dive into:Why false positives are difficult, but critical to measureThe industry's shocking (but not necessarily surprising) answers about measuring false declines, and how they measure themWhy having an industry average of false declines is a terrible idea; but measuring them internally is necessaryWhy false declines (especially in the e-commerce sector) have risen by a large margin over the last 12-18 monthsThe true cost & impact of each false decline, and why that should matter to you and your organizationIt seems like this topic is not discussed enough, or in enough detail for newer fraud leaders to understand why you can never assume that all transactions or accounts that your system or analysts are canceling are true 3rd party fraud. (And let's be honest, does your current provider want to help you identify your insult rate?) But, the cost of not measuring, analyzing, and implementing continual fraud system & process improvements to reduce the number of good customers you are essentially referring to your competitors for life, is too high to ignore.Next week's Thursday episode, Karisse will talk about the HOW. Now that you know it's critical not allow "perfect to be the enemy of the good" when it comes to measuring false declines, and you've heard how the bulk of the industry is measuring them now, Karisse will share a handful of innovative ways that some enterprise merchants have created a productized way to measure false positives, with little manual effort. Fraudology is hosted by Karisse Hendrick, a fraud fighter with decades of experience advising hundreds of the biggest ecommerce companies in the world on fraud, chargebacks, and other forms of abuse impacting a company's bottom line.
