In this episode we discuss the path that we do not need to take. It is the path of self-protection. We employ various strategies such as control or indifference to protect "me" so that "I win." But, in the end we lose with these strategies!

One path is where human nature leads us. The other path goes against out nature but is the better path to take. Let us know your thoughts after listening so that we can all learn from each other.
Are you a good listener? In this podcast we take a test that will help us determine if we are good listeners. There are twenty questions. Bruce, a licensed professional counselor, tells us that many of the problems he helps couple work through began because one or both of the people involved were not good listeners. So get yourself a pencil and get ready to answers the questions on a scale of one to five. For each question, five means you can answer the question with a strong yes. One means, well, no! If you're brave get your spouse or a good friend to rate you.
This is the second part of a discussion with our first guest, my wife, Dian Glover. We are still at the beach while Bruce and Cora the dog remain in Arkansas. We complete the topic of continuing to live life to the fullest into "retirement" or "wishing I was retired but still working," and the perspectives we believe are needed to keep going, not parking in front of the TV after you've "done your duty" in life.
