Of Swords and Magic

Episode 4 is a continuation of our discussion of Chretien de Troyes’ Arthurian Romances, with "The Knight with the Lion". The first story on record of Sir Yvain, this tale includes everything from love and betrayal, to lions and dragons, to the meaning of loyalty. Join me for a 3-hour storytelling packed with action, magical springs and the strongest of love from unexpected places.

Episode 3 discusses Chrétien de Troyes' iconic romance, "The Knight of the Cart". As the first story we have in record of Sir Lancelot, we'll discuss Arthurian legend's most famous knight, his immeasurable love for Guinevere and the many trials he faces for her.
