In Exodus 20 the Children of Israel were given the 10 commandments which was God's way of teaching them how to begin to live. Jesus in St. Mark 12 was asked what the greatest commandment and he condensed the 10 into 3, God, Self, and Others. In this world of constant changes and accelerated emotions, God has through his word given us a blueprint in order to help keep us from becoming hate-filled and angry in an angry world. Join me as we discuss the importance of loving God with all our heart, soul, mind, and strength; loving ourselves and what that entails; and then loving others.

No matter what you have faced in 2020 & 2021 rest assured that God was with you then and he is with you now. Your best days are right in front of you! Why? Because Psalms 37:25 States that I have been young and now am old, but I have never seen the righteous forsaken or his seed begging bread! Look up and smile! The Best is yet to come! Have faith!

I know you may be feeling fearful and stir crazy with having to quarantine and/or not being able to go visit and enjoy life as you used to, but God has a plan and a desire to create for us a greater life and blessings as we continue to trust him and draw near to him while we wait for this to pass. The Bible says in St. Matthew 22:39 and Leviticus 19:18 that we are to "Love our neighbors as ourselves." We love people the way we love us and if we do not think good our ourselves it will show in our dealing with others. I Corinthians 13 is known as the love chapter and describes what real love is. In order to love ourselves we have to be willing to discipline ourselves and say "no" to anything that will destroy or harm us. We have to be willing to set boundaries for ourselves for us to become the best we can be. We must also not be afraid to say no to anyone trying to destroy/abuse us. Join me as we talk about ways to develop our love for self as we learn to love others.

Anyone can be misguided into believing things that are not true, even me. God in his ultimate love, mercy, and wisdom has a way back. So if you get off track or have gotten off on things that you later find where not the will of God, do not give up on yourself, God's love will light the way to a brighter path and truth to guide you through the rough times. I give my testimony of times when I got off track and became and flake, but the mercy of God corrected, directed, and restored me.

Everyone knows when there is physical abuse in marriages, child abuse, and assaults but few recognize when they are being abused in their house of worship. If you are being told what to wear, what to eat, how to talk, how many children you can have, how to vote, who you can talk to and visit, and when you where you can spend your money by the house of worship you attend, it is a good chance that you may be suffering abuse and do not know it. Listen and I will share with you my journey of discovery and finding my voice in the body of Christ called "the Church." Hickery, dickery dock, God left some to tend his flock. But to the flocks' surprise some leaders told lies, wanting riches by fleecing the flock!
