The Burnout Kids Podcast

Happy Pride Month! The hosts have rounded up some of their fellow gays just to make them talk about being LGBTQ+ and it was... pretty gay. In this episode, they talk about their funniest experiences with coming out, what things they love and hate most about their identity, and their thoughts on LGBTQ+ and POC representation in the media.

Jess' body has been discovered and Ren and Spook are the prime suspects. It's time for Detective Jess (definitely not the same person) to figure out who commit the crime.

This week, the burnout kids talk about the beloved tabletop RPG, Dungeons & Dragons all because Emma didn't buy a set of dice, Spook talks about their first campaign they DMed for their friends, and Jess remembers the bed her character stole for a camping trip.

Could our hosts be any nerdier? Apparently, the answer is yes. In this episode, Spook explains how much they loved Webkinz as a kid, Emma talks about her childhood obsessions with Build-a-Bearville and the Sims 3, and Jess argues with Emma which types of custom content is better for the Sims 4.

Emma shares how they shouldn't be trusted to hold a phone, Spook talks about their struggles switching between languages, and Jess returns to help stir up the chaos. Everyone has some kind of music they enjoy and the burnout kids have plenty of theirs to share. In this episode, Spook and Emma discuss their favourite bands and musical experiences, the extensive creative playlists they've made on Spotify, and the weirder side of music you may not expect them to enjoy.

The burnout kids are a pretty weird group of friends and their friends outside of the podcast are no exception. With special guest, Captain_Smitty__ (a.k.a. Jordan), the burnout kids recount how a bunch of completely different people became friends and how their friend group doesn't make a lot of sense, but somehow still works.

Happy New Year! With the new year, comes resolutions and goals that people want to achieve and the burnout kids might actually be trying it out this year. In this episode, Emma has big goals to push her content creating, Spook just wants a little more order, and Jess is sticking to her motto this year.

Happy Holidays everyone! The Burnout Kids have plenty of Christmas memories and stories to tell, from Spook hearing Santa on their roof as a kid, Emma's love of gift giving for everyone and Jess' unconventional Christmas traditions, there's plenty of stories to be told! We hope everyone has a safe and happy holidays and the Burnout Kids will see you in the new year!

Sometimes titles just don't fit the actual plot of a story... So the burnout kids and their special guest, TheBrokenBee, decided to put their creative skills to the test and see who can guess the best plots solely based off of the titles of books and movies alone. Together they come up with plots that, while not being anywhere near the real plots, were objectively funnier.

The burnout kids all share one thing in common and that's their love for writing. In this episode, Spook shares their haiku about knife wielding robot maids, Jess remembers the slap bet she still needs to redeem, and Emma reads her attempt at a reddit short story she wrote as a teen.

Have you ever messed up your sleep schedule to the point of no return? Well the burnout kids sure have! In this episode, Emma, Jess, and Spook talk about living based on New Zealand time zones in Canada, having an absolutely cracked sleep schedule, and all the wild dreams they've never forgotten!

It's spooky season and your local burnout kids, Emma, Jess, and Spook, are celebrating by telling stories from their past Halloweens. In this episode, Emma gets way into her love for the season, Spook's a walking contradiction for not liking Halloween, and Jess somehow incorporates Christmas into it.
