George Orwell spoke bluntly about the nefarious nature of advertising, calling it “the rattling of a stick inside a swill bucket.”Even Orwell, though, would've been astonished by the cacophony of swill bucket advertising currently being blasted at us by Amazon, Google, Meta, and other profiteering tech giants. What are they trying to sell?Pure hogwash. Having spent billions to develop artificial intelligence so humanoid robots can displace workers, the tech geniuses are now rushing to build thousands of vast computer data centers necessary to power their Brave New AI World. Each center wills suck up local water supplies, drastically raise people's utility bills, create monstrous industrial blight and pollution, and enthrone such autocratic thugs as Bezos, Musk, and Zuckerberg as absentee bosses with domineering power over each locality. But the billionaires forgot something: You and me. “We the People” are in open rebellion against this Orwellian future, with officials in multiple states and localities “Just Saying Hell No” to the profiteers' invasive scams. Thus, the billionaire hucksters are frantically rattling their swill sticks. For example, Mark Zuckerberg – whose Meta goliath already operates 26 massive data centers and is now spending $600 billion to plop more of them in our communities – has launched a multimillion-dollar offensive to beat back local opponents. It's running BS television ads in state capitol cities, financing political candidates to hype the data centers, deploying untold numbers of lobbyists to rig the rules against opponents, and hiring an army of “community affairs” agents to spread AI propaganda. The swill bucket brigade has the fat cats, but a groundswell of us alley cats that has them on the run. To get involved, go to mediajustice.org/tools.Do something! The Center for Media Justice has been leading the way in fighting data centers in lots of communities around the country— here's how they beat back one in Amarillo, TX, for example. With Valentine's Day around the corner, we take a look at the 2025 storylines we secretly loved. Whether scrappy teams held things together with gum and chicken wire, coaches who turned programs around overnight, or the moments that didn't make national headlines, we talk through the things that got our hearts pumping. Think Wisconsin winning games with their punter as the leading passer, Houston quietly going 10-3, Arch Manning actually getting better when pundits left him for dead, and much more. In this episode, we share our own picks before opening it up to the Verballerhood, whose submissions cover everything from Kenny Dillingham staying at Arizona State to the absurdity of Lane Kiffin's move to LSU, Arkansas fans learning to love heartbreak, Indiana fans debating whether to protect their hearts or go all in on Curt Cignetti, and much more. Wealth that ends with you is success, but wealth that outlives you is a legacy. In this episode, Corwyn J. Melette sits down with Mark Miller, CEO of Hilton Tax and Wealth Advisors, to provide the tactical manual for dynasty building. Mark is a returning guest where he previously talked about the foundational concepts of wealth preservation and the mindset required to stop the "start-over" cycle. While that first conversation was a primer on financial literacy, this episode dives into the "what's next": creating the enduring trust systems and "wholesale" investing strategies used by the Hilton family.Mark bridges the gap between simply having money and systematizing it. If the first episode taught you how to start the car, this episode teaches you how to build a self-driving vehicle that ensures your great-grandchildren never have to start from zero again. The Legacy Moment:True legacy isn't about leaving a lump sum of cash; it's about building a disciplined system and imparting the financial wisdom that ensures your family never has to start from zero again.Key Takeaways0:00 - Legacy vs. Success: Defining wealth that outlasts you.5:38 - Why the third generation often loses everything and how to stop it.7:23 - The "Sieve" Strategy: Using trust structures to prevent "lump sum" wealth destruction.11:35 - Parenting & Money: How to teach heirs the value of a dollar before they inherit.15:21 - Retail vs. Wholesale: The hidden 3-4% fees eating your investments.17:40 - The "Bucket" Concept: Following Warren Buffett's lead in asset diversification.24:18 - Safety First: Why the ultra-wealthy prioritize downside protection over high-risk gains.Catch Up on the Foundation:Missed Mark's first appearance? Before you dive into the systems, make sure you have the right mindset.

Six feet tall. Silky smooth. Lockdown defender. Bucket-getter when needed.Iyla Jones isn't coming — she's already here.Hailing from Bellevue, Washington, this Class of 2029 combo guard is one of the most intriguing young prospects in the Pacific Northwest. With size, versatility, and a defensive motor that jumps off the screen, Iyla is quickly becoming a name college coaches, scouts, and hoop fans are learning not to forget.Welcome to the story of a future problem.Basketball has always been part of Iyla's life.Growing up in a hoops household, she watched her older sister — now a Division I player at the University of Nevada — train, compete, and grind daily. Add in a father who played the game and coached with intention, and basketball wasn't just an option… it was the language spoken at home.“I was like three or four,” Iyla shared. “My sister started playing, my dad played — it was an everyday conversation.”From backyard battles to two-on-two games with her brothers and dad, competition was normal. Losing wasn't accepted. Growth was expected. And it worked.Ask Iyla how she describes her game, and she doesn't hesitate:“I love defense more than offense.”That tells you everything.Yes — she can score.Yes — she can shoot.Yes — she can finish with footwork and touch. But what separates Iyla Jones is her defensive edge.Blocking three-pointers. Sliding with guards. Guarding multiple positions. Taking pride in stopping the other team's best player. She's a true combo guard who can play 1 through 5, impact the game without dominating the ball, and punish defenses when they forget she's there.Strengths at a glance:Position: Combo GuardSize: 6'0 (still growing)Game style: Smooth, versatile, two-wayLoves defense, embraces physicalityElite footwork + deadly floater packageThat euro-step into the right-hand floater? In the rapidly evolving landscape of manufacturing and quality control, the need for precision and efficiency has never been more critical. Matt Puchalski from Bucket Robotics explains that the automation of quality inspection processes presents a transformative solution to the challenges faced by human inspectors. By leveraging advanced technology and algorithms, companies can significantly enhance the accuracy of inspections while alleviating the burdensome nature of these tasks for human workers.Automating Quality Inspection Improves AccuracyQuality inspection has traditionally relied on human inspectors to assess products for defects and ensure adherence to specifications. However, this method is fraught with limitations. Humans, despite their incredible cognitive abilities, are not designed for the monotonous and repetitive nature of quality inspection. As Puchalski pointed out, the human mind excels in creative and complex problem-solving, but it struggles with tedious tasks that require prolonged focus on minute details. This leads to fatigue and a decline in accuracy over time. Research indicates that even the most skilled human inspectors can achieve only about 80% accuracy in long stretches of inspection work. To meet the stringent quality standards of industries such as automotive manufacturing, this level of accuracy is insufficient. The introduction of automation into quality inspection processes addresses these shortcomings. Bucket Robotics employs advanced technologies, drawing from its experience in building autonomous vehicles, to create systems that can perform inspections with a level of precision that far exceeds human capabilities. By utilizing design files, such as CAD models, the automated systems can reference exact specifications and identify defects with remarkable accuracy. This process not only improves the reliability of inspections but also streamlines the manufacturing workflow.Consistency Created by RoboticsOne of the key advantages of automation is its ability to maintain consistent performance without the fatigue that plagues human inspectors. Machines do not tire or lose focus; they can operate continuously, ensuring that every product is inspected to the same high standard. This is particularly crucial in high-volume manufacturing environments, where even minor defects can lead to significant financial losses or safety concerns. For instance, a component produced at a rate of 30 every seven seconds must be inspected with precision to ensure that it meets the required standards for use in critical applications, such as medical devices.Furthermore, Bucket Robotics' automated quality inspection allows human workers to focus on more complex and engaging tasks that require critical thinking and problem-solving skills. By relieving humans of the monotonous aspects of inspection, companies can redirect their workforce toward roles that add greater value, such as debugging and maintaining the machinery or improving manufacturing processes. This shift not only enhances job satisfaction but also contributes to overall productivity and innovation within the organization.ConclusionIn conclusion, the automation of quality inspection processes represents a significant advancement in manufacturing practices. By improving accuracy, reducing the potential for human error, and allowing human workers to engage in more meaningful tasks, companies can enhance their operational efficiency and product quality. As industries continue to navigate the challenges of modern manufacturing, the integration of automated inspection systems will undoubtedly play a pivotal role in achieving higher standards of quality and reliability. As demonstrated by Bucket Robotics, the future of quality inspection lies in the synergy between human ingenuity and machine precision, paving the way for a more efficient and effective manufacturing landscape.Interview by Don Baine, The Gadget Professor.Sponsored by: Get $5 to protect your credit card information online with Privacy. I have good news for you this morning—God wants to hear from you. Today, we’re stepping into a spiritual discipline that most Christians will admit they want to grow in: prayer. And like I said last week, I’m not here to guilt you into religious activity. I’m here to remind you that life is found in these places. Prayer is not a ritual we perform for God; it is our one-on-one connection with the Father. It’s the place where our hearts are shaped to His will, where our fears are laid bare, and where His voice can be heard above the noise of everything else. And today, we’re going to approach prayer from an unlikely place in Scripture. We’re heading into the Old Testament. You’ve probably heard the phrase “digging for buried treasure.” Today, we’re going to look at prayer the same way—because sometimes the most life-giving things aren’t found on the surface. They’re found when we’re willing to dig.

Send us a textWhat if a few words and a simple image could reshape how students treat each other—and how they feel about themselves? We dive into bucket filling, a plain-language framework that sparked a global kindness movement. Grounded in the CASEL competencies and early brain research, this approach replaces vague advice with three clear rules: be a bucket filler, try not to dip, and use your lid.Carol McCloud, president of Bucket Fillers Academy and author of 11 children's books, shares how the metaphor took root in classrooms and homes, why it resonates from preschool to adults, and how “fill more, dip less, use the lid” becomes a daily rhythm. We talk through scaffolding the concepts by age, from concrete acts of kindness to the advanced skill of setting boundaries. Carol offers ready-to-use ideas: a 30-minute eye-to-eye affirmation circle that changes classroom tone, a daily pledge that keeps the habit top-of-mind, and family rituals that ask, “Whose bucket did you fill today—and what filled yours?”Expect data as well as heart. You will hear how one principal, once skeptical, watched behavior referrals fall by 68% after tracking witnessed kindness with classroom buckets and school-wide action. We also explore how the language reframes bullying as a behavior to be changed, not an identity to be assigned, helping students respond with empathy, accountability, and self-control. Along the way, Carol points to free posters, songs, and multilingual tools at bucketfillers101.com to make the practice stick across mornings, group work, and conflict resolution. If you believe culture drives learning, this episode gives you a shared vocabulary, practical routines, and the science-backed reminder that tiny acts create big ripples. Subscribe, share with a colleague, and leave a review to help more educators and families discover tools that make kindness visible. What bucket will you fill today?

In this episode, I break down what happens when estrogen enters a body with a high toxic load, and why hormone therapy can backfire when your detox pathways, liver, and metabolic health are compromised. We talk about xenoestrogens, fake estrogens from everyday exposures like fragrance, plastics, air pollution, and household products, and how they hijack estrogen receptors, disrupt progesterone balance, and drive symptoms that get mislabeled as “hormone problems.” This is a practical, reality-based conversation about toxic burden, not detox fantasies. If you are on HRT, considering it, struggling with stubborn symptoms, or wondering why your body feels stuck despite doing everything “right,” this episode fills in the missing piece most hormone conversations ignore. Topics Discussed:  → How does air pollution affect hormones? → Can toxins cause estrogen dominance? → Does poor air quality impact fat loss? → Are air filters worth it for health? → How do xenoestrogens disrupt metabolism?
