First off, we're plugging. The second No Tags book is here – and it looks great. ‘Conversations on underground music culture, Volume 2' compiles the best interviews and conversations we've had on the second year of No Tags, plus five exclusive pieces with Emma Garland, Shaad D'Souza, Mattie Colquhoun, Nono Gigsta and Yu Su. You can order it here, and it will ship from the 10th December.Speaking of plugging, No Tags live at the ICA on 11th December is almost sold out! There are around 25 tickets left. As well as live conversations with Djrum and Anjali Prashar-Savoie and a DJ set from Finn, we'll have copies of the book on sale – plus some predictably stupid stickers. Keep honking! From plugging to yapping, there's a pod this week. We compile some of our listeners' best war stories from Bloc 2012 (who'd have thought so many future Taganistas were in attendance?), before getting into some big questions: is it too far for artists to market themselves via Black Friday sales? And has graffiti run its course? We also dig into the strange story of ‘I Run', the dance mega-hit of the moment that has been accused of using AI to plagiarise Jorja Smith. Depending on what happens now, this could represent a line-in-the-sand moment for AI and copyright, so we get into the background of the track, where the case currently stands and what might happen from here. Also: what are your top five dancefloor bangers of the 21st century? Chal submitted hers to this rundown for The Quietus, but we'd like to know what our listeners would pick. Tell us in the comments! Get full access to No Tags at notagspodcast.substack.com/subscribe

Shaking it up with an evening show. All of the week 12 recaps, Chopping Block, and a couple of Bangers to boot - Episode #896
This was my first one for a little while - personal and technological issues have been getting in the way once again. So it felt good to be back on for a full two hour mix! Started with a small tribute to the legend Jimmy Cliff, as the news of his passing broke a few hours before. Then into some moody and deep vibes for a while until I switched things up, we went to Africa for a while, slowed things down for some future funk, then cranked matters back up for some disco house stompers and a cheeky demo from myself. In this episode of the Creator Method Podcast, Gary sits down with Vera Alb, mom of two, full time professional, and part time creator whose dry humor, honesty, and relentless consistency have helped her build a powerful personal brand while balancing a 9 to 5, motherhood, and marriage. What started as a network marketing experiment quickly evolved into a fast growing online presence, with Vera going viral week after week during her pregnancy and crossing 10,000 followers from a hospital bed. Known for her sarcastic storytelling, Eastern European humor, and zero excuses mindset, she has become a relatable voice for women juggling careers, kids, marriage, and creative ambitions, all while proving that time is never the real barrier. Vera opens up about what happens after the viral era ends, how she is navigating a major creative pivot, and why reinvention is the key to longevity on social media. She shares the systems that keep her consistent, how she finds time to post twice a day while raising two kids, the role her marriage plays in her content, and why trends and micro trends matter more than ever. In a refreshingly honest conversation, she and Gary dive into the realities of views dropping, rebuilding momentum, and what it takes to evolve as an artist when the algorithm moves on. This conversation goes deep on what it really takes to grow in today's creator economy, how to stay consistent without burning out, the importance of experimenting with new formats, why motherhood can be a creative superpower, and how authenticity, humor, and discipline can turn a small account into a scaled brand. On this one Jared and I sat down with our friend Ryan Teague from Feather and Finch Photography all the way on the Gold Coast of Australia. Ryan is one of those rare photographers who has been wildly “successful” on paper, shooting 120 plus weddings a year, and still had the courage to ask if any of it actually lined up with the life he wanted. We talk about falling in and out of love with photography, what it does to your heart to be a dad to a son with special needs, why surfing every sunrise might be a better business plan than your current workflow, and how much more powerful your work becomes when you stop trying to impress the internet and start trying to really serve the people in front of your lens.If you have ever looked at your own work and thought “this came too easy, is it really worth what I am charging” or felt that quiet little pull to slow down and be more present, this episode is going to hit you in the best way.In this episode we get into:The 120 weddings a year seasonHow Ryan built a fast growing brand on the Gold Coast, what it felt like when the work was almost too easy, and why that started to mess with his sense of value.Falling out of love and finding it againThe honest side of running your own business for years, the seasons where you could not care less about picking up a camera, and the small shifts that brought him back.Rethinking “candid” and “documentary”Ryan talks about how couples use these words, what they actually expect on the wedding day, and how he now has very specific conversations up front so the experience matches the marketing.Empathy first, ego secondWe talk about the difference between being the entertainer at the center of the room and being the quiet presence that makes the room feel safe, and why he is willing to sacrifice a perfect frame if it means his couple stays grounded.Meditative portraits and quiet framesHow music, stillness, and silence shape the way Ryan shoots portraits, why he chases “quiet” images, and what it looks like to invite a couple into a slower, more intentional moment on their wedding day.Parenting, disability, and a very different true northRyan shares how being a dad to a ten year old with cerebral palsy and autism has completely changed his priorities and made it very hard to care about the little vanity games we all get sucked into in this industry.Designing a slower life on purposeSunrise surf sessions, short office days, training, and building a rhythm that actually supports his health and his family instead of constantly demanding more from them.Aftercast preview inside PHOTOCOIn the Aftercast for members we dig into the actual questions Ryan asks his couples, how he prepares them for a more meditative experience, and how he is thinking about storytelling over an entire wedding day as his style shifts.Listen to more episodes and read the show notesPhotographic Collective Podcast homehttps://www.mileswittboyer.com/podcastJoin PHOTOCO and get the Aftercast with RyanPhotographic Collective membership and training platformhttps://www.mileswittboyer.com/photoLearn more about the Photographic Collective communityhttps://www.mileswittboyer.com/photographic-collectiveFeather and Finch Photographyhttps://www.featherandfinchphotography.com.auFeather and Finch on Instagramhttps://www.instagram.com/featherandfinchphotographyMiles Witt BoyerWebsitehttps://www.mileswittboyer.comInstagramhttps://www.instagram.com/mileswittboyerJared Mark FincherWebsitehttps://www.jaredmarkfincher.comInstagramhttps://www.instagram.com/jaredmarkfincherIf you are new around here, the Photographic Collective Podcast is basically Jared and me sitting down with people we really respect and pulling on the threads that actually matter. Knuckles welcomes Trev 966 back to the Proper True Yarn Podcast after the last appearance literally melted the camera. Fresh off the Get Yourself Checked gala, Trev rolls in from Charleville with a new batch of chaos. He kicks off with a “quick pigging mission” that turns into full-blown PTSD courtesy of a useless pig dog named Ernie – the only dog on earth more interested in chewing Trev than the boar. From there it's into the truckie world: big bangers, road trains, the Toowoomba show getting held up, and Trev's verdict on his new rig – “Fuck your 90, buy a hino.”Between sledging each other (no-neck vs no-arse), mixing up Akkos and Inters, and yard blokes who reckon “P is for Park and E is for Empty,” it's classic Proper True Yarn gear: outback characters, dumb situations, and stories you just couldn't make up if you tried.#propertrueyarn Hosted on Acast. Hey there, welcome to another episode of Trve. Cvlt. Pop! a bloody music podcast so it is!On this weeks episode, we're joined by our good mate Jimi from the excellent Bangers & Mosh podcast to give us a redacted, list of 5 things that would make his A-Z of Atrocities. Yup, we're going neggy again! From poor sound at venues, established bands not boosting new artists, shitty AI and the death of the album, he gives it both barrels. There's also live reports from Reef & Kerbdog's double header, and we are unquestionably the only podcast to review boyband royalty Five and upcoming black metallers Spectral Wound on the same show. So that's good.

Throughout the planning for this episode, we jokingly used the term "Electro-Bangers," with credit to panelist Rob White, knowing full well we wouldn't use it in the end. But then we figured... why not? This episode is full of excellent electronic music and they are all bangers, so there you have it. Andy and Felix start off by chatting about some recent bangers from Timex, Bulova and Seiko, before jumping into the main chat with co-founder of Earthen, Johnathan Chan. Earthen is a fresh face from Hong Kong, but its accessibly priced ceramic pilot's watches drew a lot of attention when they launched earlier this year.
