    Georgia Page

In today's episode, I chat with Women's NRL Player Georgia Page. Georgia is an Osteopath by day and works towards encouraging good mental and physical health in all aspects of an individual's life. With the recent conception of her Women's Rugby Academy, she has integrated her knowledge and experience of medicine, sport, and 'mental game'. With these unstoppable elements, the Women's Rugby Academy will provide practical ways female contact sport players can both better understand their biomechanics, and prevent injury on the field. Georgia went viral in 2015 for a video showing her breaking her nose early on in a rugby match, and proceeding to make two massive tackles. Blood streaming down her face and spitting out of her mouth proved to be the image upheaval Women's Rugby, and female contact sport in general - needed to show spectators everywhere that women in sport were just as tough as their male peers. Dubbed by media as the "Rugby War Goddess", a title she resists, Georgia insists the video simply shone a much-needed light on women's rugby and had the potential to empower and excite young girls and teenagers around the world. I know her as a fun and educated friend, but first and foremost her dog is friends with my dogs. We met at the local dog park in Feb 2020 and trained together in my garage gym just before we were hit with the first Covid lockdown. During these sunrise dog walks and garage training sessions, we bonded over our mutual respect for one another, our passion for health, fitness, and mindset, and our seemingly opposite lives. Georgia has since left town on her WNRL journey and so we were excited to catch up this sunny Sunday morning. I hope you enjoy this fun chat with Georgia Page. You can find Georgia on social media @geopage and @wrugbyacademy

Imogen Clark is an outstanding Australian singer/songwriter and not to mention, a robust businesswoman.  Her mark in the entertainment industry is deep and continues to deepen. Imogen has been writing and performing songs since she was fourteen years old, starting out the way most musicians do - in local pubs.  Imogen's inspirations are artists such as Bruce Springsteen, Joni Mitchell, Gang of Youths, and Phoebe Bridgers.  Imogen has toured across Europe, the US, the UK, and across Australia. She has collaborated with artists such as Alex Lahey, Clare Bowen, Emma Swift, Anita Lester, Colin Hay, Taylor Goldsmith, Jason Boesel, Tom Petty, Pete Thomas. She has supported Shania Twain and has worked with Mark Lizotte (Johnny Deisel) who also produced her 2018 album Collide.  A hard-working and passionate artist, don't look away for even a minute.  In the episode we discuss everything from our dogs (sorry), the havoc the pandemic has wreaked on the entertainment industry, her family's response when she told them straight out of Year 12 that she was going to pursue music as a career, living in the Blue Mountains, the sincerity of writing music from the perspective of a third person, her identity as an artist, where to draw inspiration from when you can't travel, the struggle of women in maintaining their relevance in the entertainment industr, using your name as your brand (as a result of this conversation I got the guts to use my own name on this podcast) and yeah basically everything, we covered everything. And I might just go and try a soy latte with honey tomorrow.  Find Imogen on socials @imogen__clark  Enjoy the show,  X JB

Jason Wojo is a 23-year-old entrepreneur from Newburgh, New York who now lives in Tampa, Florida. His story is that of a teenager who was viewed as rumbustious and rebellious. Unrestrained energy and an unquenchable thirst for something else led him to leave the typical stepping stones of post-high school life behind for a career in business. Jason began his own marketing agency in April 2018, and ever since has been growing professionally in his endeavours for not only financial independence but in the inevitable journey of what fulfills a person navigating their way through their early 20s. I started following Jason on Instagram back in 2018 when I was running a fitness business with my husband and at first, I simply followed this energetic guy for his enthusiasm and drive. I did not expect to bear witness to the birth of a rapidly expanding and highly successful brand. I hope you enjoy my chat with Jason which will cover his entry to being a business owner himself, what led him there, and why he does what he does. JB X

I met Australian artist Laura Stitzel at Berkelouw Books on Norton Street in Leichhardt, Sydney in early 2018. Laura was a special guest at our weekly storytime session, and at the time she was reading her book 'Mr Mo Starts to Grow' to the kids. After the story, Laura met the children and signed copies of her book. We followed her on Instagram that day and have been fans ever since we met her. And yes, Mr Mo is still on high rotation in our home. Laura now has a new book out, Moonlight Mums, and has done lots of interesting work since we have seen her. The pandemic brought a "take what you can get" work ethic which kept Laura's head down and working in a time where the stress of being locked down in Melbourne, Victoria meant that there was little to no socialising to be done, anyway. I had a delightful chat with Laura, discussing her beginnings in the animation industry from university to moving to Canada to work on children's TV shows and back to Australia again. Laura also created the illustrations for comedian Sammy J (@sammyjcomedian) and his Spot parody book entitled "Wheres my Surplus?" I hope you enjoy this episode. Go follow Laura @laurastitzel or lauradraws.com JB X

This morning I had the pleasure of spending time with the benevolent Dan Clay, otherwise known online as Carrie Dragshaw. Dan, in my opinion, is a poet. He writes postcards of social and cultural relevance and deposits them into his Instagram squares accompanied by a well-thought-out and perfectly executed outfit. These outfits are handpicked from certain scenes of the iconic HBO show Sex and the City. Not only Dan has captured the attention and hearts of the stars of the show, Sarah Jessica Parker, Kristin Davis, Cynthia Nixon and Michael Patrick King - he has captured the hearts of his 124, 000 online followers and most definitely my own. I am humbled to now call Dan a friend of mine. Enjoy the show X JB

Jane Erbacher is a strength and conditioning coach and a pillar in the fitness industry. Not to mention having recently completed her law degree. Jane travels around the world teaching her rowing and ski-erg seminars and aims to bring people together to reduce chronic injury, assist gyms in member retention and education but ultimately- to have people walk away from a session feeling confident and invigorated. The audio was rough on us this day, though we had a wonderful time discussing all things pivotal, identity in the fitness industry, how covid has changed her attitude towards online delivery, moving locations, and how her friend Hamish Blake led her to the weapons of choice she has invested her profile in the fitness industry on. Enjoy the show X JB

The Bradshaw boys are Cory Cavin, Jon Sieber, and Kevin James Doyle. Three New Yorkers dissecting the HBO series Sex and the City episode by episode, and all from the glorious perspective of a man. They are insightful, silly, fun, extremely vulgar and the best medicine if you're looking for a guaranteed good mood. If you haven't already - go and follow them @thebradshawboys and listen to their podcast wherever you get yours. Thanks so much to my New York brothers - I am sorry I yelled a little too much at you instead of just talking, I was so nervous and excited and I truly hope we can talk again, take some hard lefts.... share some cream cheese.
