This is a LIVE online workshop I did for my Winning The Womanly Way Mastermind Group. The construction industry has one of the highest suicide rates in Australia. Statistics show that each year we lose approximately 260 people in our industry each year. Also every 1 in 4 people suffer from mental health challenges. In this presentation, we take a deep dive into why people in construction are more prone to depression, anxiety, and why we have such a high suicide rate. Right now as we are facing a global-wide and unprecedented challenge, it is really up to us as individuals to find that calm within ourselves and look for that inner peace. I have shared a few exercises and techniques that I use to find my inner peace, hopefully, you would find at least one of them useful. Wouldn't it be amazing if you could turn anxiety, stress, uncertainty and overwhelm into a clear vision and a plan with clear actionable steps that you can implement right away by just tweaking what you are currently doing so that you could come out up on top and be in front of 99% of people during this global crisis? This was part of the video I did with my 14 day Amplify Your Career Clients yesterday, and I really would love to share it with all of you. Now more than ever, we need to get out of our comfort zone, and decide to take that conscious 1% tilt outside of our comfort zone if we want to create greatness. What would you choose right now? Staying in the zone of comfort or take a little bit of risk and really work on taking daily actions towards creating the life that you truly wanted? When we are feeling fearful, anxious, uncertain, or overwhelmed, we tend to lose our sense of internal certainty and confidence. We also lose our creative geniuses. How can you create the most amazing life when you are constantly in fight or flight mode. How can you perform at your best when you are so full of emotions, you can't even think straight. People often think about Personal Branding as "Fake" or as a mask that people put on. Me, on the other hand, believes that Personal Branding is actually more about understanding who you really are rather than who others want you to be. Personal Branding to me, is an inside job, and it is more important than ever for everyone to understand their own unique brand, even if you are working for someone else. Intrapreneurs, are basically people who work for someone else, but have the innovative entrepreneurial mind of an entrepreneur. Companies these days are always looking for employees who are innovative thinkers, rather than someone who simply follow rules. In this episode of our podcast, I will be talking about, what is personal branding, and why it is important., and most importantly how to start creating a personal brand that is authentic that is not forced. Ever since I can remember, I have always loved stories. I love listening to stories and I love telling stories. In this episode, I will be talking about the importance of storytelling in our lives. Stories are not just for kids, but they can also be a great tool to share knowledge, information and learnings. Our brains are designed to absorb information through stories. This is why we love watching movies and reality TV, because they put us in a dream-like state, just as if we are living the experiences ourselves. I do also believe that each and every one of us all has our own unique stories to tell. I am a big believer in "Your wounds become your superpower". Our wounds and biggest learnings are clues to our purpose and our unique gift that we are meant to bring to this world. Want to become a writer? People often ask me why is it so important to set long term goals and visions in life? To me, it's like setting your destination on the GPS. If you don't know where you are going, then how do you know what direction to drive toward? Or it's just like any construction project, in order to know how we can deliver a project on time, we create construction programs to plot out the activities and time frames, so we know we are on track. It is interesting how even though we work in an industry that heavily relays on programming to make sure we keep on track with progress, yet not many of us apply the same principle to our lives. So if you don't know what your vision is for you, your family and your kids, how do you then know, what you are doing or putting in place right now, is going to set all of you on the right paths? In today's episode, I will explain the reason that it is important to have long term goals. I will also walk you through how to break down long term goals into quarterly, monthly and daily actions. This way, we are able to take away the overwhelm, and ensure that we take daily steps towards that vision that you have for you, your family and your kids. November and January are typically the 2 months of the year when people are considering looking for new job opportunities. This is often because they may have had a bad performance review at the end of the year, and/or feeling a bit stuck in their current position. I often get people asking me, "Ange, how do you get to be so lucky. You have a great job you love, and an amazing life?". I do consider myself lucky, but I don't think that my experience is so unique that it cannot be recreated by others.
