In today's episode, I'll be sharing 6 steps I would recommend to help create more inner peace. Being in Costa Rica has allowed me to fully understand what it meant to feel deep inner peace, so I wanted to share what has helped towards achieving this feeling so you can feel the same
In this episode of UB I talk about one of the most important concepts I've learned on my inner work/healing journey ~ how to create safety in your body ~ If you are currently living a life where you feel exhausted, constantly triggered, and filled with fear and anxiety it is very likely that you don't know how to make yourself feel safe. Maybe you thought that's just the way life is and that's just what everyone feels? Yeah, NO!!Let's learn how to take control of our lives by creating safety in our bodies, ON OUR OWN!!
Do you often forget that Jesus is with you in the boat when you face life's storms? Is your tendency to panic and worry before you pray? Do you replace your sense of “peace” with panic? If you answered yes to any of these questions this edition of Finish Strong is for you.Steve Gardner realized that his sense of God's presence was “underdeveloped.” He wanted a greater awareness of God not only during the storms of life but all the time. He set out on a journey to develop a plan to help him start and end every day with a deeper understanding of who God is and who he is in God's eyes. This journey resulted in the creation of a powerful, Biblically based, God inspired “prayer” that will help you achieve Inner Peace in 40 seconds. Setting boundaries is a huge part of self development and self love and should be set and established without emotion attached to them. The foundations to setting a boundary is as follows: Clarity: A boundary must be clear and specific. It should clearly define what is acceptable and unacceptable behavior regardless of who it is. No one gets a special pass. Consistency: Boundaries must be consistent. It is important to enforce the boundary every time it is crossed to establish a sense of accountability. This is where the consequence must be clear and you have to be ready to enforce it. Respect: Boundaries should be established and enforced with respect for yourself and others. They should not be used to control or manipulate others. Flexibility: Boundaries should be flexible to accommodate changing circumstances or new information. It is important to re-evaluate boundaries periodically to ensure they are still serving their intended purpose. Communication: Effective communication is essential in establishing and enforcing boundaries. It is important to communicate boundaries clearly and assertively to others. Do NOT keep repeating them. Self-awareness: Setting healthy boundaries requires self-awareness and an understanding of your own needs and limits. Accept that it is up to you to meet your own needs first. Someone recently asked me, "I achieved so much in my life. How not to get attached to that? I am nothing without my accomplishments."Achievements are one of the most common ways our ego gets inflated. I call it: falling for the success trap. How could the most advanced biological life form in the universe ever feel like "nothing," with or without accomplishments? How could someone living on a planet with such spectacular sunsets and flowers, puppies and babies, ever feel like some job title or amount of money are what life is all about?Only when we forget who we are can we feel like nothing. In today's podcast episode, I discuss the nature of the sneaky success trap, how to get out of it, and how to rediscover who we truly are and why we're here on this beautiful blue planet we call home. Please enjoy other episodes where I share meditation techniques, tips and spiritual lessons from around the world for peaceful and stress-free living. We all seek inner peace: the calm, clarity, and contentment that comes from falling into a harmonious balance with our internal self. But despite how essential inner peace is in finding true happiness, many of us don't know where to start on this journey of personal growth and transformation. In today's hectic and ever-changing world, inner peace may seem like a foreign concept, but cultivating it doesn't require huge life changes like moving to Bali. Rather, finding peace within ourselves is more of an individual journey to be embraced and explored. In this episode, I discuss 8 universal truths for inner peace. Today Dr. Jill Bolte Taylor and I are discussing “A Roadmap to Deep Inner Peace: Understanding the Four Characters in your Brain”. We are exploring Jill's concept that our brain has “Four Characters”. She shares the role (dare I say personality) of each of these characters. She also shares a powerful tool she has created called the Brain Huddle. This tool guides us to consciously invite all our characters into conversation with one another. We can then tap into their respective strengths and choose which one to be led by in any given situation. Dr. Jill was a brain scientist at Harvard when she experienced a severe stroke that wiped out the left hemisphere of her brain. It took eight years for her to completely recover and her new book ‘Whole Brain Living' is what she learned from that experience. You might recognize her as the author of My Stroke of Insight, her TED talk on the topic was the first to ever go viral. In part two of their 2-part series, Robert and Emily interview Tam Morgan, president of the Foundation for Inner Peace (FIP) and daughter of FIP cofounder Judith Skutch-Whitson. Tam's psychic gifts are what originally inspired her mother's interest in the paranormal, an interest that ultimately led Judy to publish the original edition of A Course in Miracles with scribes Helen Schucman and Bill Thetford. Tam has led a fascinating and colorful life where, as a teenager, she was able to get to know Bill Thetford, Helen Schucman, and Ken Wapnick, and then become president of the Foundation her mother began. In this interview, Robert and Emily ask Tam more about her relationship with Course co-scribe Bill Thetford, more about the dynamics she observed between Helen, Bill, Ken, and Judy, and also what she sees for the future of the Course and for the Foundation for Inner Peace. We are here to help you with both the theory and application of what A Course In Miracles (ACIM) offers. Guilt tripping is a form of emotional manipulation where one person tries to make another person feel guilty or responsible for something that is not their fault. The common strategies used are: emotional appeal, exaggeration and a sense of responsibility. You may also recognize the examples below but there are many more. Emotional Blackmail: This is a form of guilt-tripping where someone threatens to do something drastic or hurt themselves if you don't comply with their demands. For example, "If you don't come to my party, I'll be so upset that I might just cancel it altogether." Playing the Victim: Some people use the victim card to guilt-trip others into doing what they want. For example, "You know how hard my life has been lately, the least you can do is help me out." Constantly Bringing Up Past Mistakes: Guilt-trippers might bring up past mistakes or failures to make you feel bad about your current actions. For example, "Remember that time you forgot my birthday? Well, you're doing it again by not helping me out." Blaming You for Their Problems: Guilt-trippers may also try to blame you for their problems or failures. For example, "If you had just helped me out earlier, I wouldn't be in this mess now." Exaggerating the Consequences: Some people may use guilt-tripping by exaggerating the consequences of your actions to make you feel bad. For example, "If you don't help me now, our entire family will suffer." The key is to establish boundaries and work on healing the wounds that the guilt trip affects. You have to be ok with being the villain in someone else's story. When you accept that, you start to protect your peace and empower yourself. He argues that by focusing on the present moment and being fully engaged in what we are doing, we can achieve inner peace and clarity that can help us be more productive and successful in our careers.Get The Power of Now from Amazonhttps://geni.us/EckharttolleGet the summary via Blinkisthttps://blinkist.o6eiov.net/rnKQNBOne of the book's key concepts is "mindfulness," which involves being fully present and aware of one's thoughts, feelings, and surroundings. Tolle argues that by practising mindfulness, we can become more attuned to our inner selves and better able to make wise decisions and take action in our careers.Another essential concept in the book is the idea of "ego," Tolle describes as the false self we create through our thoughts and beliefs about ourselves. Tolle suggests that by letting go of our attachment to this false self and focusing on the present moment, we can tap into our true nature and unlock our full potential in our careers.Overall, "The Power of Now" offers practical advice and insights that can be helpful for anyone looking to improve their career and work life. How can someone overcome the shame experienced after an abortion? Today's guest, abortion survivor Angel Murchison, offers insights to help those suffering from the emotional trauma of this procedure. Angel is the founder of Healing Waters Women's Ministry, the author of Good Morning Beautiful People: Angel's Prayer of the Day, and a radio talk show host on Destiny Moments. She speaks out about the impact of Post Abortion Stress and offers help and hope to women who have had an abortion like she did. She lives in Presque, Maine and has three adult daughters. See www.fggam.org. Murchison shares her personal story of undergoing an abortion at age 15. She expresses the pain of her experience and how God brought her healing in layers. Angel exposes the lies of shame suffered by those who have had abortions. She emphasizes how God has a plan for every life. Angel expresses her heart and mission to help others fulfill their God-given destinies. Murchison encourages women to seek help and to tell their abortion stories. Sharing personal experiences can prove healing to both parties. Angel shares her journey to healing through authenticity, Bible study, prayer, and fellowship with other Christian survivors. She relates how God led her to recognize life's value and the grace He extended to hers. She details an account of feeling led to visit her parents' grave to thank them for life. Murchison cites that one in three women have had an abortion. She discusses the importance of grieving the loss. Angel states that the church should be a place for healing. Murchison outlines the following steps toward overcoming shame after an abortion: Accept God's love and grace. Forgive yourself. Get embedded in the love of Christ. Know and believe He loves you. Hear God's voice. Believe He has a plan to work things out for your good. Find a Bible study or group to which you can belong. Engage in service. Helping others brings us healing. Angel states her heart for women. Regardless of the lies you believe or have been told, God calls you beautiful. Murchison acknowledges that believing can be hard work, especially if you come from a hard background. Angel declares that you were born for greatness. Discover your gifts that God intends you to use. Love and help one another. Connect with Angel Murchison for more resources at https://goodmorningbeautifulpeople.net/. In this episode, Robert and Emily interview Tam Morgan, president of the Foundation for Inner Peace (FIP) and daughter of FIP cofounder Judith Skutch-Whitson. In this interview, which is part 1 of a 2-part series, Robert and Emily ask Tam about the psychic gifts that presented during her childhood as well as the dynamics she observed between Helen, Bill, Ken Wapnick, and Judy. This episode will be of interest to longtime Course students as well as new students who want to learn more about the history of this path from someone who witnessed it firsthand.

Drawing on the timeless wisdom of stoic philosophers like Marcus Aurelius and Epictetus, we'll explore how to transcend negative thoughts and emotions, focus on what's within our control, and develop a sense of calm acceptance. Transcendence is a key concept in many spiritual traditions, including Stoicism, and refers to the process of moving beyond limiting beliefs and attachments to reach a higher state of consciousness. Through this meditation, you'll learn how to tap into your own inner resources of strength, wisdom, and clarity, and experience a deeper sense of peace and well-being. Whether you're new to Stoicism or a seasoned practitioner, this meditation will help you integrate the wisdom of this philosophy into your life and deepen your practice of mindfulness and transcendence. "All things are woven together and the common bond is sacred, and scarcely one thing is foreign to another, for they have been arranged together in their places and together make the same ordered Universe. For there is one Universe out of all, one God through all things, one substance and one law, one common Reason of all intelligent creatures, and one Truth." - Marcus Aurelius, Meditations This quote by Marcus Aurelius highlights his belief in the concept of "logos," which is a Greek term that can be translated to mean "word," "reason," or "principle." In Stoic philosophy, the logos refers to the underlying principle or order that governs the universe, and is often associated with God or the divine. In this quote, Marcus Aurelius suggests that all things in the universe are interconnected and part of a greater whole, which is guided by the logos. He believes that the natural world and all living beings are part of a single ordered system, and that there is a sacred bond between all things. Marcus Aurelius also emphasizes the idea that there is a single, universal reason that governs all intelligent creatures, which he sees as a manifestation of logos. This universal reason is based on the idea that there is a common Truth that underlies all existence and that we can come to understand this Truth through our own reasoning and introspection. Overall, this quote reflects Marcus Aurelius' belief in the interconnectedness of all things and his commitment to living in harmony with the natural world and the principles that govern it.

Often, our minds create expectations and judgments about how things should be, and when reality does not match those expectations, we can experience stress, anxiety, and other negative emotions. However, if we can learn to train our minds to accept things as they are, without judgment or attachment, we can find a sense of peace that is not dependent on external factors. Inner peace, in this sense, comes from within us and is not something that can be found outside of ourselves. It is a state of being that we can cultivate through mindfulness, self-awareness, and a commitment to living in the present moment. Please do not hesitate to leave a review on apple podcasts :)

After having my second child I had postpartum anxiety. Perhaps it was the combination of remodeling a new home, moving, dealing with a highly emotional toddler all during the pandemic. Either way, any decision made me feel overwhelmed, flooded and paralyzed. For the rest of 2022, I took care of myself, by simplifying my tasks (only doing the most necessary and important) and I prioritized my mental health by meditating 20 minutes every day. By going inward, I returned home to myself – to a place of clarity, ease and joy. I hope this meditation helps you feel more grounded in yourself. namaste, AUDREY Join me online on May 20th from 10am-12pm for HELD virtual yoga workshop + inner child connection HERE
