By exploring the 'what-if mind,' we unpack how these relentless thoughts can spiral into overwhelming anxiety. The discussion centers on recognizing where our concerns originate, often rooted in our instinct to protect ourselves. While our minds are hardwired to anticipate dangers and potential problems, this survival mechanism can easily turn into an exhausting cycle of worry.The show emphasizes that these what-ifs can feel convincing and powerful, often painting scenarios that never materialize while neglecting positive outcomes. This pattern leads to a narrowed perspective, amplifying fear beyond reality. I stress the importance of not fighting or suppressing these thoughts but rather acknowledging their presence and gently guiding the mind back to the present—where our true power lies.Throughout the episode, I share strategies to help listeners identify and manage their what-if thoughts. The key is early recognition—skills that can be cultivated over time. I discuss the significance of labeling anxious thoughts as they arise, reframing them to acknowledge that they are simply future predictions and not current facts. This technique enables listeners to replace anxiety with grounding affirmations and return to their breath, thereby reclaiming their calm.#AnxietyRelief, #FutureAnxiety, #Overthinking, #WorryLess, #CalmYourMind, #WhatIfs, #AnxietySupport, #StressRelief, #AnxietyAwareness, #AnxietyTips, #EmotionalWellness, #QuietMind, #Mindfulness, #PresentMoment, #ReturnToNow, #BeHereNow, #BePresent, #MindfulLiving, #InTheMoment, #MindfulnessPractice, #CalmMind, #PeaceOfMind, #GuidedMeditation, #MeditationPractice, #BreathingExercises, #Breathwork, #Grounding, #Mantra, #Affirmations, #DailyMeditation, #MeditationJourney, #MindfulBreathing, #MentalHealth, #MentalHealthMatters, #SelfCare, #SelfLove, #PersonalGrowth, #InnerPeace, #Wellness, #Wellbeing, #Healing, #EndTheStigma, #AnxietyCoachesPodcast, #GinaRyan, #AnxietyCoach, #LifeCoach, #WellnessPodcast, #Coaching, #PodcastLife. #ACPSee Privacy Policy at https://art19.com/privacy and California Privacy Notice at https://art19.com/privacy#do-not-sell-my-info.

I delve into the importance of shifting our thought patterns and embracing a more constructive mindset. Reflecting on a time before the internet, I discuss how scarce access to information made the wisdom I encountered all the more impactful. Today, with an abundance of readily available resources, it's easy to overlook the depth of insight contained within these pieces of advice. My goal is to engage listeners in a slow, thoughtful exploration of how we can apply these lessons in our daily lives.The episode centers on key passages from Al-Anon literature, specifically “Just for Today,” which provides a series of affirmations designed to encourage mindfulness and a focus on the present. I highlight several passages, starting with the reminder to live through the day without becoming overwhelmed by all our problems. This notion is transformative; it encourages breaking down challenges into manageable pieces instead of feeling burdened by life's endless demands. I illustrate how this approach can create a mental space that allows for clearer thinking and creativity, paving the way for inner peace.Moving deeper, I discuss the significance of happiness as an active choice rather than a passive state. The episode affirms Abraham Lincoln's belief that happiness is often a matter of mindset, so I urge listeners to find moments of joy, even amidst challenges. Each suggestion from the "Just for Today" list serves as a prompt for self-reflection, encouraging listeners to consider their own approaches to happiness and contentment in daily life.#AnxietyCoachesPodcast, #JustForToday, #MentalWellness, #HealingJourney, #AlAnon, #AnxietyRelief, #SelfCare, #Mindfulness, #DailyPractice, #PersonalGrowth, #MindsetShift, #LetGoAndLetGod, #InnerPeace, #FindYourCalm, #PeaceOfMind, #EmotionalHealth, #StressManagement, #LiveInThePresent, #Acceptance, #BeUnafraid, #MeditationTime, #QuietHour, #LongFormReading, #MindfulLiving, #SelfCareMatters, #StrengthenYourMind, #ExerciseYourSoul, #KindnessMatters, #ProgressNotPerfection, #RecoveryIsPossible, #OneDayAtATime, #AnxiousMind, #OvercomingAnxiety, #PanicDisorder #GinaRyan #ACPSee Privacy Policy at https://art19.com/privacy and California Privacy Notice at https://art19.com/privacy#do-not-sell-my-info.

Professor Stephen G. Post, one of the world's leading scholars on altruism, love, compassion, and the science of giving, has a beautiful new book out: Pure Unlimited Love: Science and the 7 Paths to Inner Peace.In it, he writes:When the happiness, security, and well-being of another feels as meaningful and real to us as our own, or perhaps more so, we love that person.This love, which Stephen has made a central focus across in his life's work across 4 decadesAs a researcher, a writer, a professor of preventive medicine and founder of the Institute for Research on Pure Unlimited Love.Is the type of love that includes, but extends beyond, our nearest and dearest to all humanity. It's love that is based on our shared dignity and interdependence with one another and with nature.Today we'll dive deep into the topic of love as we kick off the third installment in this trilogy. A trilogy that began with a focus on embracing impermanence, Then in part two explored the power of mystery and wonder, and is now ending with (in Stephen's words): A scientific and spiritual exploration of how the healing power of love can transform mind, body, and spirit in individuals and communities, even in times of chaos.This conversation serving as a hopeful reminder -When we choose love, it isn't just a path to inner peace,It opens up the possibility of creating a better world. As we navigate our lives filled with pressures from work, family, and health, it has become increasingly essential to reconnect with our internal sense of calm. So often, we allow anxiety to take the driver's seat, leading us to believe that if we can control every aspect of our lives, we will find peace. However, I invite you to explore with me the paradigm shift that comes from recognizing what is indeed within our control and what isn't.The discussion begins by acknowledging the overwhelming nature of our current environment, where uncertainty seems to prevail. In these moments, our minds can spiral into an anxious loop filled with "what if" scenarios. I highlight that while our minds are extraordinary problem solvers and have kept us safe throughout history, that very capability can become counterproductive when anxiety takes hold. As we unpack this, we see how anxiety amplifies our reactions to uncertainty, leading us to try managing aspects of life that are far beyond our reach.I introduce the idea of a conceptual circle that represents the dichotomy between what we control and what we don't. Inside this circle, we can focus on elements such as our choices, self-care, and responses to daily challenges. In this talk at an event in Melbourne, Australia, Acharya das explores the concepts of peace, balance, and inner fulfillment in modern society. The Bhagavad Gita's asserts that happiness cannot exist without peace. Most people's experience is not a life of peace. Consumerism, social media, and self-centeredness have contributed to widespread mental health issues and disconnection from our spiritual nature. Over the past century, people's lives have shifted from a needs-based culture to a desires-based one, largely under the influence of devious advertising psychology and now by manipulative algorithms. The result is an absence of real peace and a lack of life balance. True peace and balance will come from understanding our identity as eternal spiritual beings, temporarily residing in physical bodies. This can be experienced through regular meditation practice using spiritual sound as a means to reconnect with our spiritual identity and achieve genuine inner peace.

Ready to being your journey of healing? It's time to reclaim your life with elite and discreet premium psychotherapy with Dr. Gregory T. Obert;
Neoborn Caveman opens with a satirical reflection on life's mutual interactions and unfulfilled expectations, critiquing government and corporate intrusions—like dynamic pricing scams and AI coercion (e.g., Grok's 'hallucinations')—that undermine sovereignty and privacy. NC condemns Minnesota's teachers' union for promoting early sex education (including incest concerns), spotlights Jim McMurtry's Kafkaesque Canadian case, debunks alien/UFO distractions amid elite war games and military resource exploitation, and explores historical injustices through Proclamation 1625's Irish enslavement under British rule, calling for monarch reparations while drawing parallels to African slavery. He emphasizes inner peace over triggered hate, righteous rage for community defense, ethical stances against fake nudes and porn consumption, and affirming personal worth while encouraging blessings to others.Music guests: Sweet Water, pMad, Neoborn CavemanKey TakeawaysSovereignty requires rejecting corporate and political overreach.Political figures' histories (e.g., Keir Starmer's communist ties) reveal hidden agendas and absurdities.Historical enslavements like the Irish demand truthful acknowledgment and reparations from monarchs.Respecting differences builds stronger communities.Affirmations of worth counter societal pressures.Ethical rants: Stop creating/sharing fake images and consuming porn—it's bad for the soul.Independent thought resists manipulative narratives.Sound Bites"We are always forked over by the government, by the agencies, by the corporations and quite often by each other.""Do you think it's really good to encourage children for incest and other things like in Minnesota?""Keir Double Forking Starmer, you know, the communist camp lover.""King James I had this proclamation, ordering the Irish be placed in bondage.""The Irish and African slaves were housed together and were forced to mate.""Everybody's talking about reparations. I explore the notion that the safest and most peaceful space we can inhabit is always accessible, regardless of external circumstances. My aim is to guide you in recognizing and nurturing the inherent peace that resides within you, often overshadowed by the distractions and chaos of daily life.We unpack the societal tendency to seek solace outside ourselves, pointing out how this quest can lead to a perpetual state of frustration and anxiety. The illusion of external control can be exhausting, pulling our attention away from the wealth of tranquility that already exists within. I emphasize that while life presents challenges and unpredictability, we can create a steady inner refuge—a sanctuary that offers steadfast calm amidst the storms of external chaos. This inner space allows us to cultivate resilience and strength, enabling us to respond thoughtfully rather than reactively to the world around us.As we begin this journey of building your inner sanctuary, I invite you to take a moment to visualize what this safe space may look like for you. Through gentle breaths and mindfulness techniques, we focus on grounding ourselves and returning to our bodies, fostering a sense of safety in the present moment. I encourage you to engage with sensory details that evoke feelings of peace, whether through the sound of water, the warmth of sunlight, or simply the natural rhythm of your breath. Each element you envision becomes a powerful anchor that helps your nervous system recognize tranquility.#InnerSanctuary, #AnxietyRelief, #FindYourCalm, #MentalWellness, #InnerPeace, #Mindfulness, #GinaRyan, #TheAnxietyCoachesPodcast, #SelfCompassion, #Breathe, #QuietStrength, #InnerRefuge, #ZenLiving, #MentalHealthMatters, #StopReactingStartResponding, #CopingSkills, #WorryFree, #MindBodyConnection, #MeditationPractice, #EmotionalSafety, #PresentMoment, #ThichNhatHanh, #TraumaInformed, #NervousSystemRegulationSee Privacy Policy at https://art19.com/privacy and California Privacy Notice at https://art19.com/privacy#do-not-sell-my-info.

In this heartfelt episode, Candace shares reflections from a peaceful bike ride among the trees — and the reminder that nature is our greatest teacher. Surrounded by the effortless beauty of the natural world, Candace explores how every part of nature — from trees and bees to apples and rivers — simply exists as it is, without comparison or striving to be something else.She invites listeners to remember that we, too, are part of nature. Like the trees, we are most beautiful when we're being our truest selves — not trying to fit in, change, or become something we're not. This episode is a gentle call to return to authenticity, self-acceptance, and the natural rhythm of simply being.

As I explore the significance of breath, I highlight it as a fundamental, yet often overlooked, tool for achieving a state of tranquility and balance within our bodies and minds. Drawing inspiration from James Nestor's enlightening book, "Breath: The New Science of a Lost Art," I emphasize how the way we breathe can dramatically influence our overall well-being.Throughout the discussion, I unpack the automatic nature of breathing and how our typical patterns can betray us, especially in moments of anxiety. When we are overwhelmed, it's common for our breathing to become shallow and rapid, sending distress signals to our brain and maintaining a state of hyperarousal. I reflect on my own journey of discovering the benefits of long, slow exhalations and conscious breathing, which not only transformed my personal anxiety management but also allowed me to assist others in making similar changes.I stress the importance of breathing through the nose, as highlighted by Nestor, reclaiming what he describes as the "lost art of breathing." I detail the physiological benefits of proper nasal breathing — it calms the nervous system and activates the parasympathetic response, ensuring that our bodies can transition to rest and digest mode. Practical exercises are woven throughout the episode, allowing listeners to engage with their breath in real time, guiding them away from stress and towards a newfound sense of safety.#AnxietyCoachesPodcast, #Breathwork, #AnxietyRelief, #NervousSystem, #MindBody, #JamesNestor, #BreathTheNewScienceOfALostArt, #NasalBreathing, #SlowBreathing, #Calm #Mindfulness, #RelaxationTechniques, #VagusNerve, #SelfCompassion, #HealthAndWellness, #StressManagement, #ConsciousBreathing, #RestAndDigest, #AnxietySucks, #BreathingExercises, #ReduceStress, #PodcastLife, #DailyPractice, #InhaleExhale, #InnerPeace, #EmotionalHealth, #MentalWellness, #NaturalCalm, #ResetButton #GinaRyan #ACPSee Privacy Policy at https://art19.com/privacy and California Privacy Notice at https://art19.com/privacy#do-not-sell-my-info.

Inner peace, as expressed by love, exists as goodness itself and is the strongest alternative to helplessness, resentment, hate, insanity, bitterness, and crazy violence. Here, we focus our attention on the capacity for a generous love that embraces such virtues as kindness, courage, forgiveness, gratitude, dignity for all, and hope. Stephen G. Post, Ph.D. is among a handful of individuals awarded the distinguished service award by the National Alzheimer's Association. In 2001 he founded The Institute for Research on Unlimited Love, which researches and distributes knowledge on kindness, giving and spirituality. Post served as a co-chair of the United Nations Population Fund Conference on Spirituality and Global Transformation. He's a professor in the Department of Preventative Medicine at Stony Brook University and founder and director of the Stony Brook Center for Medical Humanities, Compassionate Care and Bioethics. He's a leader in medicine research and religion and the author of several books. CEO Phil Trapkin's journey to creating BlissTrax started over two decades ago with his personal discovery: syncing music to his running pace significantly elevated his workouts. This early experience in marrying rhythm with movement was the seed. The idea fully came to life when he was later introduced to the concept of binaural beats, leading to the insight that sound technology could be engineered to guide the brain into specific states while the body is active. BlissTrax was born from the desire to offer a simple, accessible tool for stress relief that doesn't require users to sit still.
In Miami's cocaine cowboy days, Bob Martin was a high-powered lawyer defending the mob. Money flowed, power followed, but everything else—his marriage, his family, his peace—was falling apart. Then a single word from his therapist changed everything: Retreat. What started as anger and disbelief led him into the ancient world of Taoism and the teachings of a 72nd-generation Shaolin master.This episode traces how a man built on control learned to surrender, how judgment became compassion, and how forgiveness became freedom.
To practice the timeliness of mindful speech, I personally use the W.A.I.T acronym, which stands for "Why Am I Talking?” It serves as a reminder to pause before speaking. WAIT can also stand for Why Am I Texting? Why Am I Troubled? Or Why Am I Triggered? I've learned the hard way that speaking even the most true and kind words can create conflict if the person speaking them or hearing them is not in their right frame of mind.
Hafe you ever felt like you're living as more than one version of yourself? In this episdoe, Chris Hansen uses the metaphor of a kaleidoscope to explore, self-perception, and the emotional tension that comes from being seen - and misseen - in different ways. Just like one pattern inside a kaleidoscope can create many different reflections, we each show up in four version: who we truly are, who we think we are, who others believe we are, and who we think others think we are. When these reflections don't align, we experience self-doubt, insecurity, and emotional exhaustion - the mental tug-of-war that keeps us stuck. But real peace doesn't come from chaning ourselves to match every reflection. It comes from grounding ourselves in our true identity and allowing the other versions to align around it.
