On Tuesday's Mark Levin Show, Special Envoy to the Middle East Steve Witkoff calls in to break down his stunning negotiations with the Iranian regime before President Trump made his decision to attack. These meetings were to explore whether a verifiable, enforceable nuclear deal was possible under Trump.  From the outset, the Iranians asserted that uranium enrichment was Iran's inalienable right and declared their large stockpile of enriched material—approximately 22,000 pounds—was off the table for negotiation. This could yield about 11 nuclear bombs if further enriched. Witkoff and Jared Kushner quickly became skeptical of Iran's willingness to make acceptable concessions. These meetings convinced Witkoff and Kushner that Iran had no genuine interest in a civilian nuclear program. Instead, Iran sought to disguise an ongoing research and development effort to maintain enrichment flexibility and breakout capability.  Rejecting the no-enrichment deal revealed their true motivations were not civilian but weapons-oriented, allowing rapid production of enough material for dozens of bombs if unchecked. Witkoff reported these deceptions and unassailable facts to President Trump, who then made a tough, consequential decision in response. Later, our Framers of the Constitution were so brilliant and prescient.  What you see, right now, occurring in Congress, is precisely why the delegates at the Constitutional Convention did not confer war powers on Congress. In fact, the delegates specifically changed the original draft of the Constitution from Congress having the power to make war to the power to declare war. That is, Congress was granted the authority to declare its support for war, not declare war as a condition of making war or going to war.  And it is precisely why declarations of war have never been determinative in whether war is made or not -- since the beginning of our Republic.  It is also why Congress cannot force the commander-in-chief to go to war by the act of declaring war.  Learn more about your ad choices. On Tuesday's Mark Levin Show, the media report on every instance when ICE detains someone who, it later turns out, should not have been detained.  There will always be some level of misidentification when dealing with such large numbers of people and chaotic situations.  There were no endless news reports on what has happened to people when the border was wide open, and the brutality and inhumanity resulting from that policy. The murdered, raped, and otherwise brutalized American citizens are mostly ignored. The media are so completely in the tank for the Democrats and the left, they're open and blatant about it and don't give a damn. The broader podcasting industry is largely a cesspool filled with un-Americanism, Marxism, Islamism, wokeism, fascism, racism, anti-Jewish and anti-Christian sentiment. On Thursday's Mark Levin Show, DHS Secretary Kristi Noem is doing an outstanding job. DHS is a massive department that handles some of the most difficult matters.  No one has done a better job on immigration than Noem, which is why the Democrats are calling for her head. Now, why are Democrats fighting so hard for every illegal alien to stay? To preserve their electoral viability, as resident migration from high-tax blue states to lower-tax red/purple states continue unabated. You're also hearing more and more Republican officials (RINO's) talking about deporting only violent criminal illegal aliens and some are even talking about granting a "pathway to citizenship" for non-violent illegal aliens. Federal law requires deportation for those who enter illegally or overstay visas. Later, pinprick measures against the Iranian regime are insufficient - the regime itself must be removed entirely, as failing to do so will burden future generations. 61% of MAGA supporters favor hitting Iran hard. Significant, decisive action—not endless negotiations—is necessary and morally right to save lives quickly. Afterward, Rep Chip Roy calls in and strongly opposes any Republican proposals to limit immigration enforcement to only illegal immigrants who commit additional crimes, arguing it would undermine the entire system, reward lawbreaking, and encourage more illegal entries. Enforcement must target both dangerous criminal aliens and non-criminal illegal entrants to secure the nation, as threats can spread quickly across states. Finally, Kevin McCarthy calls in and criticizes Democrats for threatening a government shutdown over ICE enforcement policies, calling it a sign of weak leadership driven by fear of political backlash rather than principled guidance. Democrats are holding the country hostage despite prior bipartisan funding agreements, motivated by emotional indecision and unpopularity, including references to a disliked leader afraid of voters and past book tour concerns. On Tuesday's Mark Levin Show, individuals should never arm themselves or interfere with federal law enforcement (particularly ICE) during protests aimed at obstructing arrests of illegal aliens, even those with criminal records, as such actions are criminal, dangerous, and not protected by the Second Amendment, free speech, or assembly rights. American citizens deserve safe communities protected by immigration enforcement, while sanctuary policies by states and cities unconstitutionally usurp federal plenary power over immigration, echoing Confederate nullification tactics and risking national disunity. The Democrat Party deliberately engineers massive illegal immigration through open borders, non-enforcement, census manipulation, and birthright citizenship to secure long-term political power, culminating in a strategy to weaken or eliminate ICE and prioritize party dominance over national interests, with some Republicans yielding to these pressures. Also, the Islamist issue is a major threat. There's this emergence of segregated Islamist compounds and large communities strategically appearing across the U.S., particularly in Republican strongholds like Texas and Florida, funded by enormous sums of money and forming numerous footholds. There are already no-go areas in places like Dearborn, Michigan, mirroring trends in Europe and in France and England. Later, today is Holocaust Remembrance Day. On January 27, 1945, the Auschwitz-Birkenau concentration camp was liberated. 6 million Jewish people were murdered during the Holocaust, and the ugly, insane hate for Jewish people is spreading like a metastasizing cancer throughout the world today -- including in our country.
