This episode is raw, tender, and so deeply personal that I seriously considered not publishing (more on that in the next one). It's my reflection of the past two years and how this transition into all of these big, beautiful things that have come into my life, including marrying my incredible man, moving countries, and building a whole new life has also come with a lot of challenges I didn't expect. From ego deaths and complete loss of various identities to loneliness, emotional contradictions, and a whole lot of healing while learning to step into a much more honest, vulnerable and embodied version of myself.  This is the part of manifestation that doesn't always get talked about: you can hope and pray and work towards something for so long, and then when it all comes together, it may require you to grieve expectations of timelines, survival patterns, unmet needs, self-abandonment, and the parts of yourself that once kept you safe. And sometimes, there can still be grief found in the joys of healthy love, being fully seen, and creating the life you always dreamed of. The biggest lesson to me is that grief becomes transformative once you no longer treat it like an obstacle to your becoming. I'd love to hear from you on this one. Let me know if you can relate

That is both the boundaries that you have to operate within (imposed by your company) AND what the other party wants. There is a ton you can do to work out the other sides goals. This informs your negotiation strategy and negotiation tactics.  Negotiating at work should involve asking a lot of questions and listening. You want the other party talking about what they want. The more you know about what they want, the better your negotiating approach will become. This is another one of those key negotiation strategies. How to negotiate must also include trading options rather than just saying yes or conceding. I found it to be a very helpful, different and fun way to get more in touch with what you want in the new year. I call this the certainty of misery. We're not happy with where we are, but at least it's comfortable, we're certain how our life will be from day to day. If we can courage up and instead learn to step into the misery of uncertainty, we can create in our lives something that matches, and maybe even exceeds, what we dream of. She is a scientist and a practitioner in the field of human behavior and is recognized by the US Department of State as being in the top 1% of behavior analysis experts. She has delivered specialized behavioral analysis training to the U.S. Secret Service, FBI, Department of Homeland Security, and local law enforcement agencies.
