My guest on this episode of Journey to Health is Aleph Drasmin. She is the founder of Drasmin DreamWorks, an education collective devoted to bridging science and spirit. She and I have kept in touch since we became friends several years ago. I thought inviting Aleph would add a unique and insightful perspective to the Journey to Health series. She didn't let me down. In the interview, we touch upon some very profound concepts of neuroscience and trauma. Aleph draws upon intuition and her ongoing study in neuroscience to understand how someone may heal. We had a discussion of themes that do not always reach the traditional medical practice. The listener may wonder whether some of the topics brought up here were speculative or pseudoscience? Aleph made some very important comments to address these themes, including her mentioning the limitations and ongoing evolution of science. With invitation and curiosity, we explored the concepts of how the brain adapts to trauma and how sometimes these adaptations can contribute to behaviors that fuel disease. Aleph provides some very interesting comments on the brain's interpretation of words and how we can reprogram the words to begin to reframe their significance. It was truly a pleasure to interview Aleph. I hope the audience enjoys the exchange. For more information on Aleph Drasmin, refer to her website Drasmin DreamWorks, AHO (awakenholyoneness.com)

The environment encases us like a glove to a hand. We are directly affected by our environment, and we can ensure our environment stays healthy. One example of the startling effects of the environment is life expectancy: a developed country like Japan has a life expectancy of 85 years, while a country like Chad has a life expectancy of 55. This article features information regarding the influence of the environment on our health. The hopes are that we can begin to improve the environment that directly surrounds us and that governments and large organizations can be stewards of the environment.
