Renegade Thinkers Unite: #2 Podcast for CMOs & B2B Marketers

Events sit at the crossroads of joy and heartburn for B2B marketers. The magic of getting customers together in real life is real, and so is the pain when sales skips the pre-work and ROI gets fuzzy. With every dollar under scrutiny, CMOs are treating events as strategic bets that have to earn their spot on the plan. In this episode, Drew talks with Charles Groome (Insightful), Jamie Gier, and Lorie Coulombe (Equity Shift) about how they decide which events to do, design experiences people remember, and turn field time into pipeline. They cover event portfolios, sales pre-work, and the simple tools that keep everyone aligned before, during, and after the show. In this episode:  Charles sorts events into three buckets, leans into a listening circuit with smaller meetups, and looks at target-account impact to decide where bigger bets belong.  Jamie frames events around getting discovered, creating memorable experiences, and driving deals, with customers on stage and pods focused on key accounts.  Lorie sets clear goals for each event, does deep homework on audiences and geographies, and locks in sales pre-work and follow-up expectations. Plus:  Build an event portfolio that blends big shows, listening trips, CABs, and customer moments.  Use themes, news hooks, and customer voices to stand out in crowded halls and drive recall.  Align sales and marketing via pods, shared KPIs, and simple scoreboards.  Tighten spend with regional focus, partner co-hosting, and clear criteria. If events are on your 2026 budget and you want them to pay in pipeline, this episode will help you pick, plan, and prove them with more confidence.  For full show notes and transcripts, visit https://renegademarketing.com/podcasts/ To learn more about CMO Huddles, visit https://cmohuddles.com/

In this powerful Soul Elevation livestream, I share a deeply important message about humility, divine embodiment, and reclaiming your spiritual authority as we move toward the close of 2025 and prepare for a new cycle of expansion. Many of us were taught that humility means making ourselves small, staying quiet, or denying our own power. But this misunderstanding can actually block our spiritual growth and keep us disconnected from our true nature. In this livestream, I explore what it truly means to embody your divinity and why humility, when misunderstood, can keep us from fully stepping into our purpose. We talk about the difference between egoic power and divine power, and how true empowerment comes from allowing higher consciousness to move through you rather than trying to control or suppress it. I also share reflections on the energetic shift we are collectively experiencing as we move toward 2026, and how this moment is inviting us to release self-minimization and step into our full expression as embodied souls. This episode is for you if you are feeling the call to: • Step into your spiritual authority • Release patterns of self-diminishment • Embody your divinity in everyday life • Align with higher consciousness and purpose • Move into the next phase of your awakening ✨ You are not here to shrink. You are here to embody the fullness of who you are. If this message resonates, please like, subscribe, and share it with someone who may need this reminder today. He's facilitated workshops nationwide, focusing on the essence of family legacy and redefining its biblical meaning. An accomplished author, one of his notable works is "Leadership NOT by the Book," co-written with David Green. At 7 Generation Legacy, Bill is renowned for assisting families in crafting enduring multi-generational legacy plans. Bill was brought up in a low-income family in rural Missouri and came to know Jesus at a young age. His generosity journey began as a teenager, faithfully tithing on everything he earned. Bill started the first half of his career in law before leaving to launch what would later become The Signatry, a donor-advised fund platform that connects “donors with doers” tackling some of the world's biggest problems. Through his work with The Signatry, Bill developed a passion for seeing individual families united by a clear and driving mission and vision that reflects God's particular calling for them. Have you ever reached the end of a year and felt the urge to pause - not to rush ahead with goals and plans, but to really sit with what this chapter has held? As 2025 draws to a close, today's solo episode is a gentle invitation to reflect, integrate and intentionally open the door to what's next. This episode was inspired by my recent Align & Manifest workshop, where reflection was paired with sound healing - allowing insight to land not just in the mind, but in the body. What unfolded in that space reminded me how powerful it is to slow down, feel, and consciously close a chapter before stepping into a new one. Throughout this episode, I guide you through a series of reflective questions you can journal with, sit with, or simply let land - whether you're listening quietly at home or on the move. There's no pressure to do this “perfectly”; you can always return to these questions when the moment feels right. I also share my own reflections from the year - what felt heavy, what surprised me, what supported me, and what I'm consciously releasing - alongside how embodiment and sound have become an increasingly important part of how I support integration and growth. This is a soft, spacious episode designed to help you close 2025 with awareness, gratitude and self-trust - and step into 2026 from a grounded, intentional place rather than autopilot. Reflection Questions: What felt heavy or challenging for you in 2025 - and how can you honour that honestly? What supported you, surprised you, or felt good this year - even in small, quiet ways? What did 2025 teach you about yourself, and what are you ready to let go of as this chapter closes? Choose a feeling for the year ahead? Who are you becoming as you move into your next chapter? What are you ready to welcome more of in 2026? And finally, what is your word for 2026? Key Takeaways: Why pausing at the end of a year is an act of self-leadership, not avoidance Why choosing a feeling for the year ahead can be more powerful than rigid goals The role of sound healing in helping reflection integrate on a nervous system level Show Resources: Follow Emma, the Podcast Host on Instagram - HERE Learn More About 1:1 Coaching with Emma - HERE Book a FREE 30-minute Discovery Call with Emma - HERE Learn More About Emma's Book, Worthy and Wealthy - HERE If you loved this episode, I'd be so grateful if you shared it with someone who might need a gentle pause right now. High-masking ND grind burning you out? In this episode of Adulting with Autism, host April tackles sustainable success for neurodivergent high-achievers with Garrett Wood, National Board-Certified Health and Wellness Coach/clinical hypnotherapist/executive functioning specialist and founder of Gnosis Therapy. With 18+ years helping masking professionals (autism/ADHD), Garrett's A³ Framework (Assess, Accommodate, Align) bridges nervous-system needs/environment demands—focusing on sensory intelligence/bio-budgets/emotional regulation/core beliefs/attachment/values/executive functioning to end boom-bust cycles. Key insights: High-masking exhaustion: Socialization gaps (hiding "not okay" parts); safe environments reduce friction—authentic self without danger. Sensory intelligence: Preferences/thresholds (too much/little stimulation); interoception (body cues like hunger/anxiety); accommodations (headphones/compression/breaks/sensory backpack). Bio-budgets/time under tension: ND shifts (16-18 hrs masking vs. NT 4-5 hrs); small reps/recovery (car breaks/garden/dust books) prevent overload. Autistic vs. NT burnout: Intensity/scale difference (ND extreme effort); recovery longer (6-7 months vs. quick)—focus well-being (not grit/willpower myth). Hypnotherapy: Self-hypnosis (daydream state for mindset/social/sleep); practice positive experiences (e.g., anxiety scenarios going well). A³ for control: Assess needs (triggers/supports), Accommodate (e.g., oils/masks), Align (values as guardrails); early overload signs (tension/shutdown). Workplace/young adults: Advocate (ROI from inclusion); trial/error (hot/cold days); natural responses (eat/move/sleep) over deadlines. For autistic/ADHD young adults/entrepreneurs in masking fatigue, Garrett's vibe: "Sustainable success through well-being—not expense." Free resources at gnosistherapy.com. Welcome back to another episode of School Counseling Simplified. Happy December. Today we are doing a throwback to one of my favorite episodes, all about how to design a small group curriculum that actually works. In this episode, we are getting into the meat and potatoes of small group curriculum. My goal is to make the process simple, realistic, and easy to implement so you can confidently design groups that support your students and meet your counseling goals. When it comes to small group curriculum, you are likely doing one of two things. You may be using activities or curriculum that you have already purchased, such as hard copy books provided by your school or resources from Teachers Pay Teachers. Or you may be creating your own curriculum from scratch because one has not been provided for you. No matter which route you choose, there are six steps you can follow to design a small group curriculum that works. Identify your topic Start by identifying your small group topic using referral data or student needs. For example, you may notice a need for a self control group. Outline your weeks with ASCA aligned objectives Determine the length of your group, typically six to eight weeks. Choose one clear objective for each week. Align each objective with an ASCA mindset and behavior that matches your goal. Once this is complete, type out your weekly outline so you have a clear plan to follow. Select your icebreakers Icebreakers are especially important during the first session to help students feel comfortable and connected. Choose simple activities that build rapport and introduce the group structure. Select your activities Activities are the core of each session. Look closely at your weekly objective and choose an activity that directly supports that skill or concept. This ensures your sessions stay focused and intentional. Select a reflection piece Reflection is a powerful part of student learning. Journals work especially well for small groups. Even five minutes of reflection can help students process what they learned and apply it outside of the session. Create your self assessment Data collection is essential for tailoring your sessions and tracking student progress. Create a self assessment that is based on your weekly objectives so you can measure growth throughout the group. This framework helps you stay organized, intentional, and data driven while creating small groups that truly support your students.   Resources Mentioned: Join IMPACT Group Bundle Group Cheat Sheet ASCA Mindset and behaviors Connect with Rachel: TpT Store Blog Instagram Facebook Page Facebook Group Pinterest Youtube   More About School Counseling Simplified: School Counseling Simplified is a podcast offering easy to implement strategies for busy school counselors. Known as the “Elf,” this innovative solar-electric bicycle vehicle is redefining transportation. Weighing just 160 pounds yet capable of carrying 550 pounds, the Elf offers a sustainable and affordable alternative to cars.“What's amazing is that the Elf gets the equivalent of 1,800 miles per gallon,” Rob explained during today's episode. “And in sunny parts of the country, many customers have told us they've never even needed to plug it in—they've powered it entirely by sunlight for years.”Designed for practicality, the Elf provides all-weather protection and enough room for a passenger and a dozen bags of groceries. Because it's legally classified as a bicycle, no license, insurance, or registration is required. It's a solution designed not just for environmentalists but for anyone looking to save money, reduce their carbon footprint, and enjoy a healthier lifestyle.Although Rob and his team achieved remarkable early success, challenges with investors forced the company into a period of rebuilding. Now, Organic Transit is poised for a comeback, raising capital via a regulated crowdfunding campaign on WeFunder. Rob shared how crowdfunding aligns perfectly with the company's mission and values: “The population overall—the retail consumers—have been our biggest advocates. If we had done an equity crowdfunding campaign earlier, it would have been a perfect fit.”Priced at $7,500 for the base model, the Elf is not only affordable but also pays for itself quickly. Rob shared stories of customers who reported saving $8,000 annually by using the vehicle instead of a car.In today's episode, Rob's passion for creating a sustainable future was contagious. With the Elf's proven technology and a growing community of supporters, Organic Transit is ready to redefine what vehicles can be. For those interested in supporting this exciting venture, you can learn more and invest at s4g.biz/organic.tl;dr:Rob Cotter explained how the Elf's design combines solar power, practicality, and bike-like efficiency.Organic Transit delivered 800 Elfs globally before challenges forced the company into rebuilding mode. The Elf costs $7,500, pays for itself quickly, and doesn't require insurance or registration.Organic Transit is now raising capital via crowdfunding to relaunch the Elf.Rob shared how his environmental vision fuels his passion for creating sustainable transportation solutions. How to Develop Environmental Vision As a SuperpowerRob's superpower is his ability to activate environmentalism into actionable, innovative solutions. As Rob explained, “I've been an environmentalist forever… I have this understanding of what an efficient vehicle should and can be, and I've worked to bring the public's passions together with the mission of the company.” This unique combination of environmental commitment and technical expertise has allowed him to create groundbreaking solutions like the Elf, which reduces pollution while promoting healthier lifestyles.Illustrative Story:Rob shared how decades of experience with innovative vehicles combined with his environmental activism led to the creation of the Elf. He drew inspiration from lightweight designs in bicycles, aircraft, and boats, ultimately reimagining what a vehicle could be. By integrating solar power and practical aerodynamics, he created a vehicle so efficient that some customers in sunny regions have powered their Elfs solely with sunlight for years.Tips for Developing This Superpower:Develop expertise in a field that aligns with your values, like Rob's work with vehicles.Combine technical skills with a passion for environmental causes to create innovative solutions.Align your work with the public's values to build support for your vision.Reimagine existing paradigms—don't let traditional boundaries limit your creativity.Think globally but act locally; start with practical, small-scale solutions that can scale up.By following Rob's example and advice, you can make environmental vision a skill. With practice and effort, you could make it a superpower that enables you to do more good in the world.Remember, however, that research into success suggests that building on your own superpowers is more important than creating new ones or overcoming weaknesses. You do you!Guest ProfileRob Cotter (he/him):CEO/ Founder, Environmental Transit AuthorityAbout Environmental Transit Authority: Organic Transit (OT) designs, builds and distributes the cleanest, most efficient vehicles on the planet. My work is driven by a simple question: why are we using multi-ton vehicles to move 200-pound people? I've been building innovative human-powered and solar vehicles for decades. Early in my career, I served as Vice President of the International Human Powered Vehicle Association, where I oversaw cutting-edge designs and races for bicycles now capable of exceeding 90 mph. I also directed the first U.S. solar car race in 1988 and contributed to projects that inspired modern electric vehicles, drones, and hydrofoils. Before launching Organic Transit, I worked with Porsche, led multimedia projects as a creative director, and ran human rights and environmental campaigns with Anita Roddick, combining technical skill with storytelling and advocacy. Other clients: IBM, Lexus/Nexus, and Environmental Advisor to Gov. Jerry Brown. In 2012, I founded Organic Transit and began developing the ELF, a three-wheeled, solar-powered Pod vehicle with an advanced polymer body and lightweight, aircraft aluminum chassis, 1 horsepower, and an efficiency equivalent of 1,800 miles per gallon. Over the years, we delivered 850 vehicles across 15 countries, accumulating over 10 million miles of user experience feedback. Many of our ELFs are still in daily use today, highlighting the durability and versatility of the design. After a challenging period of ownership transitions, I reacquired the company and am now leading a comeback with ELF 3.0, incorporating over a decade of learning and community insights. Our shop is fully solar-powered and off-grid, reflecting our commitment to sustainability. I'm passionate about making safe, practical, and sustainable mobility accessible to everyone, and believe crowdfunding and community engagement are key to scaling this vision. This episode continues the preparation for 2026 by focusing on the missing piece most men never slow down enough to define. Their values. We explore why vision without values leads to frustration, misalignment and burnout, and why values are the operating rules that quietly shape every decision you make. I share how my own values have evolved over time, why building a business around your life rather than your life around your business changed everything for me, and what it really means to build success from home first. This is a grounded conversation about identity, boundaries and the architecture of a life that supports fulfillment rather than consuming it. In this episode, I cover: • Why many men cannot clearly articulate their values and how this creates confusion and resentment • How values evolve with identity and why they must be revisited regularly • The difference between living intentionally and feeling imprisoned by work • How building a business around your life creates time, freedom and emotional stability • Why success at home must come before success anywhere else • How values help you make better decisions without guilt or second guessing • Why misalignment between values and behaviour creates anger, distraction and drift • How clear values lead to sharper vision, better planning and calmer leadership going into 2026 This episode is not about adding more pressure or complexity to your life. It is about stripping things back and deciding what truly matters. When your values are clear, decisions become easier, boundaries become stronger and your life starts to feel aligned again. Listen closely, Reflect honestly. And start building your future from the inside out.

In Session 3 of the Align 2025 series, Permian Basin leaders Shane and Natalie Kenny share what it really takes to build a sustainable First Priority ministry that lasts beyond any one staff member, student leader, or season. Their message is clear: sustainability is not just about club mechanics, it starts with roots. A heart that stays soft for the city. Relationships that go deep with the local church and school leaders. And a sense of urgency to act because the harvest is ready. This episode wraps the three main Align sessions and sets up the upcoming breakout episodes. Key Takeaways Sustainability starts before the club starts. Shane and Natalie emphasize building a ministry foundation that can outlive you, not just launching a weekly meeting. Personal first: love your city and your schools. Ministry becomes fragile when frustration replaces compassion. They challenge leaders to reclaim a burden for their community and campus. Potted vs. planted. A powerful metaphor throughout the session: you can travel like a potted plant, or you can put down roots and build something that stands the test of time. Relational ministry beats transactional ministry. Networks are not the goal. Serving people is. They challenge leaders to stop viewing relationships as a means to an end. Mobilize beyond youth pastors. Relying only on youth pastors for volunteers is not sustainable. Their model expands the volunteer base across the local church, including parents and community members. Go through the front door. They stress the importance of meeting principals, building trust with administration, and showing up to serve schools consistently. Create the environment so students can lead. Their focus is building the “wall” around student leadership so students can step up with confidence and consistency. Reflection Questions Do I feel compassion for my city right now, or am I running on frustration? Am I operating relationally or transactionally with schools, churches, and leaders? Who is “on the wall” with me, and where do I need to expand my volunteer base? Have I built roots in my community, or am I still trying to lead like a potted plant?
