In today's episode of The Turning Point Project, I'm talking to the very talented Photographer Amanda Jackson, who shares her reflections on the subtle turning points that have shaped her life and helped her move towards working and living in a way that honours her creativity.Amanda also shares some clear actions you can take to own your gifts and this is a conversation well worth making space for.About Amanda JacksonAmanda is a portrait and lifestyle photographer based in the Midlands. She is available for commissions across the UK. She is privileged to be able to share her work through gallery exhibitions and some rather brilliant publications. She has worked with wide-reaching newspapers and magazines such as: The Guardian, The Observer, The Independent, Self Build and Design Magazine, Happiful Magazine, Blogosphere Magazine, Marie Claire, In Clover Magazine and Photoworks Annual. The National Library of Wales holds a selection of photographs from her series ‘To Build A Home’ in their archives. In 2015, Amanda was delighted to be shortlisted for the Environmental Photographer of the Year.Originally from Canada, Amanda moved to the UK in 2001 and studied Photography at Hereford College of Art. She is now based in Malvern, Worcestershire and also frequently enjoys spending time in a little caravan in Pembrokeshire with her springer spaniel Bertie and a roaring wood burner.
