Happy Outdoor Families
32. Connecting to the National Parks - with Rob and Sarah Gardner

Happy Outdoor Families

Rob and Sarah Gardner are parents and outdoor enthusiasts who have a passion for our national parks. After many family trips exploring the parks, they wanted to find a way to support these national treasures. Through their baby gear company Joovy, they have partnered with the national park foundation to bring awareness to families about the importance of these spaces, and more specifically about the endangered animals that call the parks home. I'm excited today to talk more about our national parks and how we can help our children grow up to be environmental stewards, to cultivate a connection between them and the land, and the animals that live there. GNMP Interpretive Programs Update- FALL 2020

Here is the first installment of a new feature of Addressing Gettysburg. We get many questions from listeners and social media followers about what the Park Service is doing in relation to this or that. While I'm flattered that people turn to us for such information, we really are no more "in the know" than you are. Ok, maybe a touch more. So, we decided to change that by inviting Chief of Interpretation and Education, Christopher Gwinn, to come on the show once a quarter for recaps of the last quarter and a preview/updates on the quarter to come in relation to the interpretive programs GNMP will offer. We hope you find this informative and that it further inspires you to visit Gettysburg National Military Park.
