We sure would appreciate it. A big thank you to all the brave men and, yes that means YOU, who serve in the criminal justice field. It's a very tough environment but you go out and serve everyday with honor. Keep up the great work, and remember to be safe. If you are someone you know is struggling. Please remember you are not alone. You are never alone. The dedicated team at FHE - Health, and the team from The Shatterproof Program for First Responders are here for you. All you have to do is take the first step towards your healing and recovery. Please reach out to FHE- Health at 855-622-1297 or contact me at 303-960-9819. https://fherehab.com/services/first-responders/ Its always refreshing and inspiring to hear a senior law enforcement officer talk about the serious issues facing law enforcement and communities, but more importantly taking action behind in attempts to mitigating the problems. My next guest is Chief Tom Synan of Newtown Police Department in Ohio. Chief Synan is a TEDx Speaker and is part of the Hamilton County Addiction Response Coalition. Chief Synan's wide experience has allowed him to have a unique look into the opioid crisis. Chief Synan is a United States Marine Corps veteran and a 29 year police veteran with the Newtown Police Department. For the last 14 years as Police Chief and as is a SWAT Team Leader veteran. In 2014, after the last of an entire family died from addiction, the last two from heroin and fentanyl, Chief Synan met with other members in Hamilton County and helped form the Hamilton County Heroin Coalition (now Hamilton County Addiction Response Coalition) where he sits on the Steering Committee and Co-Chair of Interdiction. Chief Synan coordinates law enforcement efforts to reduce supply and works with other members to help reduce demand. A powerful episode.
