Now, dressed in black except for an expressionless white mask, Kat kills for the dead – a willing vessel for the souls of the wrongfully killed that call out for vengeance. But how did an apparently soulless child become a brutal vigilante? And are the voices that she hears really those of the dead or are they merely symptoms of a dangerous, all-consuming psychosis?” The third issue in this series has just been released, so be sure to go to their website store to get your copy as well as catch up on the first two issues in this series! Set against the backdrop of rampant political corruption, vicious street gangs, nascent labor reform and ardent xenophobia--can Niko and his friends triumph in a life-and-death battle against their oppressors, or will they succumb to the engines of socio-economic progress?” We talk about how this tale full of shocks and surprises has come together, Cory’s time at Marvel working on the Soleil collections and what he has planned for the future! For this week’s episode, I have a special interview with Alethea, the creator of a fascinating Indie series from Insane Comics called Moonlit Dawn: A Mythical Tale. I love variety in my reading, and this series is enjoyable and creative, so I loved it, of course! Alethea talks about creating the comic (which started out as a webcomic), including the fact that she pretty much creates the book on her own, including plotting, art, coloring and lettering! Wow! We also talked about her love for wolves (many appear in this book), her experience as a comics creator living in the state of Alaska, and conventions she’ll be attending in the near future. To get your digital or print copy of the prologue as well as issues 1 and 2 of Moonlit Dawn: A Mythical Tale, you can visit the Insane Comics store at their website at this link. Issue 3 will be out in May, so stay tuned! A special thanks to James C. Munch, founding member at Insane Comics, for his help in making this interview happen! Look for more interviews with creators from this high-octane comics company in the near future! Highly recommended!
