On today's episode of the podcast, comic book artist Sean Forney returns to the show! Sean first came on the show last summer ahead of San Diego Comic-Con, and returns to talk about the new Kickstarter that he's launching TODAY for his hit comic series "Scarlett Huntress Meets Mothman"! This is Sean's 7th Kickstarter campaign, and I anticipate it will be another great success. I talked with Sean about all that he has been up to since we spoke last July, as well as a bunch of new variant covers he's done for the "Do You Pooh" series, the phenomenon that has taken SDCC artist alley by storm, the longevity of Scarlett Huntress since making her debut appearance in 2004, some of the cool perks to donating to their kickstarter, WonderCon 2025 prep, and so much more! A huge Thank You to Sean Forney for joining me on the show. Make sure you check out the links for the Kickstarter at www.onthemicpodcast.com as well as all of Sean's social links to follow all of the incredible projects that he's part of. You also won't want to miss him if you are in Anaheim this weekend at WonderCon! Sean's booth will be E-23 in Artists Alley. Come out and support him, especially on his birthday weekend! Thanks, Sean! Enjoy the episode!
On today's episode I have comic book artist, writer, artist, and translator, Adalisa Zarate! Adalisa is the final episode of my San Diego Comic-Con series, and funny enough she was the first episode I recorded of the series. Adalisa was another international guest, joining the show from Mexico! Adalisa has such an incredible story about how she got involved with SDCC as a Mexican journalist and she immediately was hooked! She has also done translation for some incredible shows such as "Sailor Moon" and "Cowboy Bebop". I talked with Adalisa about she got started with SDCC, how comic con and comic books are viewed in Mexico compared to the US, Mexican horror, some of her favorite SDCC memories, cultural appropriation vs cultural appreciation, translating for film and TV, and so much more. A huge Thank You to Adalisa Zarate for taking the time to join me on the show. Visit Adalisa in Artists Alley at Booth CC-10 and pick up some art, as well as get a picture with Murphey the Traveling Goat! Adalisa will also be part of 2 panels: "Cultural Appreciation vs. Cultural Appropriation, Round 2" on Friday, July 26th @ 5:30 in Room 26AB, as well as "Bringing Fandoms Together Through Language", Sunday, July 28th @ 1:00PM in Room 211. She also helped put together the panel "Storytellers of Then and Now" that will take place Sunday, July 28th @ 3:30PM in Room 26AB. Make sure to follow Adalisa, as well as Murphey the Traveling Goat on all of the links at www.onthemicpodcast.com Thanks, Adalisa! Enjoy the episode!
Show Notes: Nicki and I took a day trip up to Metropolis, IL for the final day of the annual Superman Celebration. It was about a 3 1/2hr drive to the official home of Superman. We walked the normally steamy streets of Metropolis, visited the Metropolis Chamber Of Commerce, the giant Superman statue, the Noel Neill/Lois Lane statue, Artists Alley/Writers Way, watched the costume contest under the main tent, and had burgers and Kryptonite at Fat Edd's Roadhouse before heading back home. It started off wet, but became a gorgeous and incredibly mild after noon...68-70 degrees! We missed out on meeting the artists I drove up to see, but we did run into our friends Jim and Christina Hall, and Adam and Penny Shaw in Artists Alley. We also saw Mark Pillow/Nuclear Man and Super Museum founder Jim Hambrick as we were about to head out. We got lots of pics of the new murals around town, and look forward to doing another day trip up in the off season to see the changes made to the Super Museum. Lots of pics to see on our Drawing Funny website! While walking through Artists Alley at December's Los Angeles Comic Con, I was taken by a huge banner that read 'Monster Matador! It depicted a classic Spanish matador staring down the jaws of a vicious beast! A matador who fights monsters?!? How does that not equate to an awesome comic? This week on Geekscape we've got Monster Matador creator Steven Prince! We'll talk about monsters, genre mash-ups, making indie comics, and much more! We're back this week with an extra long episode packed with guests. Two guests to be specific....but that's like 200% more than normal so yeah, jam packed. Next weekend is going to be a busy one as Alex and I are going to be attending two different conventions in two different states 1,000 miles apart...at the same time?!? Well, technically at the same time...just not together. While myself and the usual suspects head up to Boston for PAX East, Alex and his lovely lady are going to be flying out to Chicago for C2E2. Exciting, right?? Twice the opportunity to catch terrifying viruses! And also meet amazing people, play amazing games, and spend amazing amounts of cash. It's gonna be a good time. Until then, we thought it would be fun to hype up the shows and talk with a couple people that you'd be able to meet if you happen to be in attendance. First up is the owner of : Ryan Stunkel! After successful outings at previous PAX shows, most recently PAX South in January, Ryan is going to be bringing his panel "Sound Design Live: Watch Us Recreate Video Game Sounds" to PAX East to give attendees the scoop on creating and replicating sounds from popular video games. Ryan is going to be bringing years of sound design experience to Boston so if you're at PAX East on Saturday you have an amazing opportunity to check out his panel. Following our chat with Ryan, we had the absolute pleasure of talking with artist and colorist ! A Chicago based artist, Addison's work can be seen in a multitude of comic books including Curse Words, Hack/Slash, and Barbarella/Dejah Thoris to name a few. He's going to be tabling in Artist's Alley at the upcoming C2E2 show so we thought it would be a perfect opportunity to get the inside info on his background, experiences, and what we can expect to see at one of the most talked about conventions in the country. We can't thank Ryan and Addison enough for giving us time to talk with them, especially with two major shows just around the corner. We hope you enjoy listening to this episode as much as we enjoyed recording it. If you're going to be at PAX or C2E2 be sure to travel safe and pack plenty of hand sanitizer. And say hi to Ryan and Addison; they're great people who make great things. Enjoy! -Jr.

Artist Vince Alvendia (Beensentoe) joined the Hall H Show (Aaron Nabus and Alex Benedicto) to talk about his first time in Artists Alley at San Diego Comic-Con 2019. We also do a quick recap of our experiences at SDCC 2019 (such as Aaron's first time being a panelist). Special thanks to Beau Machado from Altered Ego Cafe and Hideout (at Southern California Comics) in San Diego, CA for letting us record this podcast there (and also for the tasty coffee).
On episode 71, we share my DesignerCon 2018 conversation with freelance pencil artist, Lenny Romero (Lenzations)! A former business major and collegiate wrestler, this self taught artist loves the meticulous nature of his medium…some of his pieces can take up to three months to complete! We first met him at Stan Lee's Comikaze 2015 and each time we seem him is like the first time. We're always blown away by his Godzilla and kaiju related pencil artwork, On this episode, he gives some good advice for interacting and communicating with potential customers at a convention and he also talks about the value of being patient. He'll be making an appearance for the first time ever at Artists Alley table EE-05 at San Diego Comic-Con 2019, so please make sure to go check him out! If you believe in our mission to be the voice of independent creators, please leave us a comment and rating (hopefully five stars) on iTunes. You can also find this podcast on Google Play, Stitcher, iHeartRadio and even Spotify! Have a comic book or pop culture creative that you would like to hear on the show…please let us know on any of our social media channels or our contact form. Peace…cheers…and please make it a point to visit Artist Alley and Small Press at all the conventions you plan on going to this year! Speaking of conventions, I will be on the “Heroes at the Mic” pop culture podcasting panel at San Diego Comic-Con 2019! It will take place at 4pm on Friday, July 19 at the Neil Morgan Auditorium at the San Diego Central Library, which is a short walk from the convention center…so hope to see some of you there!

Illustrator Tony Guaraldi-Brown (The Cone-Nose Saga, Always) and I escaped the madness of San Diego Comic-Con, [and the crazy-busy Artist's Alley], to talk studying art outside of comics, the pleasure of working within limits, major psychological elements that forge artists, family, and writing characters from the internal perspective. We also discuss the lack of great internal superhero stories, because we feel superheroes are often internally misunderstood by their creators, and Tony delves deep into his powerful ongoing web-comic the Cone-Nose Saga. We also cover how lots of characters are defined by the loss or lack of family (even our own selves as characters), as well as how we feel driven to one-up and change our approach constantly, both to grow and to say different things. We wrap with discussion of Tony's gorgeous new art book ALWAYS. For a talk between two artists, this one is truly all about story- writing, structuring, and executing story- it is by far the most complete look at how I make comics, and it was a delight to discover Tony makes them in almost exactly the same way, internally speaking. The episode closes out with Celestial Lagoon from Solar Team by DJ Roshay. Visit Tony's site tgbart.com and read his excellent ongoing web-comic the Cone-Nose Saga. Pick up always at bigcartel.com. Last weekend was HeroesCon, and as they have for the past few years, Andy and Derek are on the scene in Artists Alley reporting the event from the floor. On this episode, you'll hear the Two Guys sharing their varied experiences at the con. Among other topics they discuss the vendors they visited and the comics they were able to find, their attempts to interview creators at their tables, the two high-powered panels they moderated, the various artists they had signing their comics, the tone of this year's crowd, the uncertainty of their table location, and their Saturday night dinner with Gilbert Hernandez's family. And both Derek and Andy are most thankful for the various fans who stopped by their table to say "Hello" and tell them that they're avid listeners. Much thanks to Daniel Yezbick for providing the pictures of the Two Guys in action!

While Andy and Derek were at HeroesCon last weekend, they talked briefly with a variety of creators in Artists Alley -- see last Tuesday's show for those conversations -- but they also had the chance to sit down for longer, more substantive interviews. And they made it a point to do so with Miss Lasko-Gross and Kevin Colden, the creators behind the new series from Z2 Comics, The Sweetness. The first issue has just been released, so the guys had the opportunity, thanks to Miss and Kevin, to read it and ask their guests about this unique title. Miss and Kevin describe The Sweetness as a mix between Star Wars and Breaking Bad, where a group of ex-cons and low-level criminals work for a UPS-like delivery service in space...but with a focus on badass women smugglers. Derek and Andy ask specifically about the two unlikely paired female protagonists, Nelly and Scout, but they also discuss their inept male companion Bachmaan, a curious character who Miss admits to not being able to kill off, especially given the way that Kevin has drawn him. The two guests also discuss their working relationship, the benefits and challenges of being married and working on the same title. In fact, Miss and Kevin work so productively together that many times during the interview, the Two Guys just sit back and let their guests carry the back-and-forth. The result is an engaging conversation about this promising new series, one that the guys hope will be shuttling illegal cargo for a long time.
This past weekend, Andy and Derek attended HeroesCon in Charlotte, NC, where they had a table in Artists Alley. On each of the three days of the event they recorded brief segments about their experiences at the con, the people they met, the panels they attended, and the comics they were able to find. So for this week's episode, you'll hear those recordings and get to experience the 2016 HeroesCon vicariously through the unique perspectives of the Two Guys with PhDs Talking about Comics. Among the many things discussed are the guys' encounters with creators in Artists Alley, Andy's attempts to sell his Harley Quinn- and Suicide Squad-related comics, the unexpected physical dangers of tabling at the con, Derek's spirited find of Will Eisner reprints, the travails of trying to sell branded merchandise when you're not an artist, old racist comic books, and cosplayers who really don't give a damn what people think. But, as with last year's event, the highlight of HeroesCon 2016 was meeting dedicated fans of The Comics Alternative podcast and meeting new people who are sure to become new listeners. And during the guys' daily recordings, they talk with some of these individuals on mic. Much thanks to the Two Guys' dedicated and lovely assistant, Zoe Royal, for helping out at the table and for taking pictures of the guys in action on the floor of Artists Alley!

In the second of two on-location interview episodes recorded at last weekend's HeroesCon -- the first episode went up yesterday -- Derek talks with a variety of artists tabling in Artists Alley. He begins with a conversation with Nate Simpson, discussing the recent release of Nonplayer #2, the long gap between the first and second issues, and Nate's plans for carrying the title forward. Next, Derek talks with Ed Piskor about the upcoming release of Hip Hop Family Tree, Book 3, Fantagraphics' landmark decision to release his title as a monthly series, and Ed's gold watch. After that, he discusses the webcomic Vattu with Evan Dahm, along with the artist's plans for eventually releasing the entire saga in hardcopy. Then Derek heads to the shared table of Gabriel Dunston and Aaron Walther -- which is almost next to The Comics Alternative's table! He talks with Gabe about Kickstarter and his work on the second Purgatory Pub book, and then he learns about Aaron's series, Zero's Heroes and Science Hero. Then, in one of the highlights of the con, Derek makes Ryan Browne laugh before learning the sad news that God Hates Astronauts will soon be going on hiatus. Following Ryan's talk, Jamal Igle discusses the new Molly Danger series as well as his work at Action Lab Studios, and then Frank Barbiere shares some word about the secrets to his prolific output...Five Ghosts, White Suits, Black Market, and Solar: Man of Action, anyone? Then, in the last hours of this year's HeroesCon, Derek is able to talk with Kyle Starks about his experiences after Sexcastle, with Jeremy Whitley about Princeless and ethnoracial issues in comics, and with Matthew Roberts about art and the success of Manifest Destiny.
While Derek and Andy W. were at HeroesCon last weekend, they were able to meet a variety of artists and writers tabling in Artists Alley. Many of these creators took time from their busy schedules -- talking with fans, signing books, and working on commissions -- to talk with the guys for a few minutes, discussing their works and sharing their experiences at the con. This episode of the podcast includes brief conversations with ten different artists and that, taken together, demonstrate the creative diversity to be found at this year's HeroesCon. First, Derek talks with Sophie Goldstein and Jenn Jordan about their webcomic-turned-book, Darwin Carmichael is Going to Hell, as well as Sophie's Ignatz Award-winning House of Women and the recently published The Oven. After that, Andy has a conversation with Michel Fiffe about his ongoing Copra series and his recent work on various Marvel titles. This is followed by another f**k-filled conversation with Tom Neely and Keenan Marshall Keller (who were just on the podcast last month) about the reception to the latest issue of The Humans, and then a more toned-down discourse with friend-of-the-podcast Craig Yoe on his experiences at HeroesCon, Weird Love, his enjoyment of cosplayers, and an awards message that he delivers for Steve Ditko. Next, Andy talks with Royden Lepp about his high-octane adventure series, Rust, and his process of writing for young readers. This is followed by conversations with Justin Jordan about Spread, Dead Body Road, and the return of Luther Strode, and with Hoyt Silva on the reaction to his and Josh Blaylock's Operation Nemesis: A Story of Genocide and Revenge. Finally, Derek wraps up this this on-location interview segment by talking with Max Dowdle about his fine art background and his graphic novel Shattered with Curve of Horn.
This year the Two....no, the Three Guys with PhDs attended HeroesCon, and they had a table there in the middle of Artists Alley. Andy Kunka, Andy Wolverton, and Derek Royal were there to check out the action, rummage through the dollar bins, search for new and interesting titles, talk with creators, get their books signed, and just generally enjoy the fun and camaraderie. On each of the three days of the con, Friday (June 19th) through Sunday (June 21st), they made it a point to record segments live from the floor, discussing the highlights and the experiences they took away from the event. Among the many topics they cover are the incredibly long lines for Jason Aarons, Jason Latour, Chip Zdarsky, Matt Fraction, and Kelly Sue DeConnick; their luck in having a table so close to friend-of-the-show and overall great guy, Craig Yoe; the wonderful experience of having fans of The Comics Alternative come up and talk with the guys; the adventures of trying to find a place for dinner after the con lets out for the day; the kind of treasures they uncover when digging through stacks of back issues; the good and the bad of fan enthusiasm; their favorite discoveries of the day; the kind of encounters and conversations they had with the many creators in Artists Alley; and the weird effectiveness of the sign at their booth. For the most part, Derek, Andy, and Andy did their recordings at the end of each day -- providing a general wrap-up of the day's events -- but on Sunday they recorded two segments, the first one in the morning, so as to include Andy Wolverton before he had to head back home to Maryland (he was driving the long distance). The crowd at this year's HeroesCon was record breaking, and in the background of their recordings you can hear the constant buzz of attendees as they roam the floor. In fact, on a few occasions people came up to the table while the guys were recording, talking on the show and sharing some of the experiences they had. All in all, the Three Guys had a great time, and they plan to table at HeroesCon again next year. This is the first of several episodes of The Comics Alternative at HeroesCon 2015. In the coming days the guys will post two full episodes of conversations with creators in Artists Alley as well as a recording of the panel Derek and Andy Kunka participated in the first day of the con. Keep your ears open!
Fan Expo Dallas was held May 29-31, and this year Derek was there in Artists Alley talking with a variety of creators. Some of those he spoke with are famous names and individuals who have been on the show before. Others were new to him and, and Derek used the opportunity to introduce himself and Comics Alternative listeners to their fascinating works. He begins by talking with two artists who have spoken with him at various cons in the past, Robert Wilson IV and Joe Eisma. The latter shares his experiences having illustrated Bitch Planet #3, the amount of attention that has brought him, and his warm relationship with Kelly Sue DeConnick. Robert also follows up on the success of Knuckleheads, which was released as a book last summer from IDW. Joe Eisma talks not only about his most recent work on Morning Glories, now in its second "season," but also about doing a variant cover for the relaunch of Archie. After that, Derek speaks with two teams of creators whose work he has just discovered. Through Stephen G. Totten and his friend Mike, he learns about the webcomic Angry Cuddles, and how this work (written by Stephen and illustrated by Joseph A. Valero III) has recently become a video podcast. Derek also talks with Mark Schmidt, publisher of Stratum Comics, and his partner, Vince Chuter. Their title, The Threat, is an action comic reminiscent of Heroes placed in a Judge Dredd-type universe. Next, Derek talks with Steve Epting about Velvet -- the second trade has recently been released -- and the kind of fan response he's been getting at the con. Steve shares a few words about working with Ed Brubaker on this creator-owned title as well as their collaboration on Captain America and Winter Soldier. After that, Jemma Young introduces Derek to her webcomic, Children of Eldair, her collaboration with its writer, Rachel A. Oaks, the title's dedicated fanbase, and the challenges of putting out installments on a regular basis. Derek also meets Hector Rodriguez whose El Peso Hero, published through Rio Bravo Comics, is a potent mixture of superhero stories, sociopolitical commentary, and an exploration of race relations on the Southwestern border. Finally, Derek wraps up with Ellen Natalie, whose webcomic Furry Experience provides a glimpse into young adult experiences as they relate to religion, relationships, and coming of age. This was a particularly busy convention, and The Comics Alternative thanks all of these creators for taking the time to share their thoughts and experiences with its listeners.

It’s me, Marc Hershon, and I'll be your host and concierge for Epi103 of Succotash, the Comedy Podcast Podcast. This is a Succotash Clips episode, where we feature clips from comedy podcasts and DON’T feature any interviews with anyone. Although we do have a new Boozin’ With Bill segment, where I pay a visit to our announcer Bill Heywatt in the Studio P wet bar and he mixes up one of his alcohol-laden concoctions. This time out we’ll hear him mix up something he calls "Groovy Love-In Punch". Why Not Network? If you didn't know it before, Succotash is an independent podcast, as are so many of the shows that you can find strewn across the internet. But it’s funny – I was asked not once but twice this past week by a couple of different podcasters what network we’re on and, when they found out we’re NOT part of a network, why aren’t we? I don’t know, actually. I approached a couple of networks fairly early on in our operation and there was little or no interest – I think, at the time, they really wanted shows that were pulling significant numbers to help bolster the network’s ratings. Now, of course, there are networks like the Wolfpop Network, which came out of the gate with shows that were brand new. I’m not opposed to having this show on a podcast network. It would certainly keep me honest and having to maintain a strict release schedule. Plus we’d probably have sponsors and might even start bringing in a little money instead of having to pay it out every month. And there’d be added publicity, too. I’m not going to start knocking on doors right now, though. I have to imagine most of the networks know who and what Succotash is by now. Maybe if we were a review show we’d be a hotter commodity but that’s not what we’re about – and THAT could be the problem. Networks want listeners for their shows so why would they carry a show that’s letting people know what comedy podcasts are out there in the world NOT on their network? So, until further notice, Succotash remains a proudly solo podcast, and our main mission of letting people know about the wide variety of comedy shows that are out there is still very firmly in place. Feel free to show your support for our efforts to do so by rating and reviewing us on iTunes, giving us a “thumbs up” on Stitcher, “hearting” us on SoundCloud, Liking our Facebook page, and/or clicking the Donate button on our http://SuccotashShow.com homepage. A Sound Experiment Epi103 might sound a little different to those of you who have been listening to Succotash for a while. I'm giving an app called BossJock a try this time out, which is the equivalent of have a radio studio in your smartphone or tablet. The set-up is pretty simple and really applicable a show like ours, where we play a lot of clips. I'm not going to wax too technical, but BossJock lets you load up audio clips of any length and they are available much like old-style tape cartridges ("carts") were in my old radio days. There's the ability to record through either the devices microphone or a plug-in mic of your choosing and there you are — all set up in your studio, with the controls at your fingertips. The app give you a maximum of 15 "carts" with a phone and 35 with a tablet. I was using my iPad to carry my scripted rundown and my iPhone to record, but I could have just as easily switched. I'm used to assembling the show by mixing my voice tracks, music, and podcast clips after they're all laid out. SO it was interesting to do the whole thing on the fly with BossJock. There were a few rough patches as I was getting used to moving in and out of the clips, and I didn't have enough carts to give myself a music bed under the TweetSack. So I did a little tinkering in GarageBand afterward. But I really had fun with the practice of putting everything together - essentially - in one sitting, while literally sitting in my car. Coming Up In This Episode In addition to our Boozin’ With Bill adventure and a classic Henderson’s Pants commercial, we have a double dose of our Burst O’ Durst segment with comedian/commentator Will Durst, and clips from the following podcasts: Artist’s Alley, The Big Cat Show, The Kimchi Chronicles, Making Ends Meet, The Pauly Shore Podcast Show, Taco Tuesday, and Tangentially Speaking — not necessarily in that order. Plus, of course, we dip into the Tweetsack at the end of the show. The Clips The Pauly Shore Podcast ShowThis past week, for Splitsider.com and Huffington Post Entertainment, I reviewed The Pauly Shore Podcast Show. You can go read the review in either place by clicking the links above, but here are the short strokes: Pauly Shore’s back and podcasting’s got him…again. In his 40’s now, Shore still scores with his “perma-slacker” voice and attitude, clearing needing the several members of his support team in the studio to get him from point A to point B. Even the point of editing seems to escape him at times, with Shore once needlessly recapping something that we just heard happen (which had apparently been a while back in real time.) Childhood friend and occasional acting rival David Arquette is his guest and their chat is very loose, hilariously wandering from topic to topic, including Arquette’s childhood, growing up with his acting siblings, life with Courtney Cox, life without Courtney Cox, and how things are now with a three-year relationship and an 8-month old son. The Big Cat ShowWe recently featured a clip from The Big Cat Show with our old pal Lyonheart and I don’t like to repeat shows in quick succession, but Lyon does his show live on Thursday nights every week and he recently got a surprise caller. That’s pretty cool. Hannibal Burress just calling in. (Lyon, I think you could have parleyed that into a longer interview, though. Note to self: Don’t kick off an interview about talking smack about the star of the movie your guest is appearing in. Just a thought.) You can call into his show yourself every Thursday night at 7 PM East Coast time. Artists AlleyOur associate producer Tyson Saner grabbed a clip from the Artists Alley podcast, hosted by Merill Barr. His guest in this slice from this past December is Troy Conrad, the brains behind the hilarious Set List show, which makes comedians invent material on the spot based on bizarre premises that he pops up on a screen on stage. Here he reveals an upcoming twist to the premise. The Kimchi ChroniclesI got a note from friend of Succotash Nigel Boydell, who listeners may know from the Uncle Arthur’s Bollocks and HMS Codcast podcasts. He says: Hi Marc! I have included a short clip from my latest venture. I have been recording a podcast with my co-host, Samantha Pett. The Kimchi Chronicles is an intercontinental project. Sam is an English teacher in Ulsan, South Korea. We get together every couple of weeks to record a podcast over Skype. Because of the 9 hour time difference, Sam is usually recording in the early hours, and is usually fairly, how should I say, lubricated by the time the recording ends. Kimchi is a staple food in Korea, hence the title, and soju is a cheap alcholic drink, hence the lubrication. They sent along the sample we're featuring in this episode of the show. Taco TuesdayWe recently featured a clip from Taco Tuesday with Podcast Dan and Adam Wolf and normally we’d wait a while before going back to the same well. But those guys are savvy enough to try out our new Hightail link for uploading clips directly to our show, so as a reward, we have another taste of Taco Tuesday. Comedy Podcasters: If you'd like to upload a 3-5 minute MP3 clip directly to us, just use this link: http://www.hightail.com/u/Succotash. Making Ends MeetTyson has clipped us a sample of Making Ends Meet, a podcast where New Yorkers Max Ash and Tovah Silbermann talk to noobie comedians about their day jobs and how they can afford to be a comic in one of the most expensive cities in the country. In this samplage, the pair is talking with Sharron Paul. Tangentially SpeakingFrom the show's description on iTunes: Ever wanted to hang with a famous comedian, dominatrix, health guru, author or Italian prince? Well, here's your chance. In this clip from a recent episode, Dr. Christopher Ryan chats with guest Dan Piraro, the delightfully twisted artist behind the Bizarro cartoons. All right, friends. That's what is in store for Epi103. Next time, Epi104 will be a Succotash Chats edition and our special guest will be Hal Lublin from The Thrilling Adventure Hour, back for his 3rd annual visit from when TAA was here at SF Sketchfest last weekend. If you want to be our bestest friend, please take time out to Like us on Facebook, rate AND review us up on iTunes, heart us on SoundCloud, thumbs up us on Stitcher, buy our merch through the Succotashery, click our Donate button, and shop on Amazon by clicking on the banner at the top of the page on our homesite, http://SuccotashShow.com. And thanks for passing the Succotash! — Marc Hershon
