Return to camp with Michael A. Simpson's Sleepaway Camp 2: Unhappy Campers (1988) which finds Angela killing according to Aunt Martha's conservative moral code. We're talking about Pamela Springsteen's performance (and Felissa Rose's absence), our love of Ally, and the film's status as a self-referential horror comedy. Plus: the lack of short shorts, poor editing, Molly's end, and debates if the laughs subvert the "trans killer" trope. Reference: > Cervantes, Reyna. "Finding Your Identity at Sleepaway Camp." On this show, our specialty is sequels, sequels, and more sequels. From the good ones, to the bad ones, to the really ugly ones, we'll be covering them all! We've got homicidal maniacs that won't stay in the grave, sci-fi epics whose stories cannot be told in a single tale, and much much more. For our 14th episode, we have chosen one of the funniest slasher sequels ever with the 1988 "SLEEPAWAY CAMP 2" directed by Michael A. Simpson. This follow up to the 1983 original slasher about one of the most decorated movie killers Angela Baker first played by Felissa Rose but played here by the hilarious Pamela Springsteen. Join hosts Cameron Scott and filmmaker/podcaster Rebecca Rinehart on a trip back to the 80's where everything was bloodier, better, and larger than life. Join us and don't be an Unhappy Camper.

We all want more...right? Well, June 2021 looks to find those Unwanted sequels of films that Jonathan (@berkreviews) and Corey (@coreyrstarr) saw the original of...but never took the time to see the follow up. Sometimes, a sequel is enjoyable...sometimes it is downright terrible...and of course there are all the gray areas in-between. Who knows which of the quality categories the four films for June 2021 in the Unwanted theme will fall into. As far as the podcast goes, each episode features an in-depth review of the movie for the week. They begin with a spoiler-free review before diving in completely after the needed spoiler warning. However, before getting into the review of the week, Jonathan and Corey discuss what other movies they've seen since the last episode as well as anything else they feel like discussing. To help them decide which of the many films to watch each month they started creating themes for them all. SLEEPAWAY CAMP II: UNHAPPY CAMPERS (1988) Angela, supposedly reformed and living under an assumed surname, is working at a summer camp. However, when the campers start misbehaving, she soon reverts to her old ways. Directed by Michael A.
