For Episode #4 we're talking about the action packed 2000 release "GONE IN 60 SECONDS" directed by Dominic Sena.  It stars Cage, Angelina Jolie, Will Patton, Robert Duvall, Giovanni Ribisi, Vinnie Jones, Timothy Olyphant, Delroy Lindo, and more!  It's a remake of the original 1974 classic of the same name where retired car thief Memphis Raines must get back into the game and steal 50 cars in one night to save his little brother. Nothing is as simple as getting the band back together but it is a LOT of fun for those who enjoy car chase flicks and high octane action. Join hosts Rook Medrano and Cameron Scott from the show 'Take Out Edition' as they talk shop about one of their favorite Cage films!   "Control, vision, determination. This is the timeless classic tale of a meteorologist caught in a perpetual time loop repeating the same day over and over again.  Our deep dive discussion is brought to you by our hosts author/filmmaker Cameron Scott and poet Aaron Paschke. Directed by Jim Wynorski and starring Melissa Brasselle, August Kyss, Rib Hillis, Lisa London, and Becky LeBeau.  This movie is a sort of all over the place mess that mixes desert town shenanigans with some college kids and elements of The Terminator (whose comparisons is merely skin deep). This shorty feature (clocking in at only 46 minutes) is about what happens when a sentient robot goes on a killing spree. Directed by Tom DeSimone (Savage Streets, Freddy's Nightmares, Hellhole)  and starring Linda Blair, Vincent Van Patten, Peter Barton, Kevin Brophy and Suki Goodwin. This is not just another slasher movie that came out in droves in the early 80's but rather an underappreciated gem. It's a tale about what goes on in Old Garth Manor when four college pledges must spend the night in the dusty old place...along with some sadistic killers left roaming the grounds. We'll leave it up to you to decide how the hell this got made in the first place. This straight to cable mischief stars Esai Morales, Nia Peeples, and Stephen McHattie. In short, it's about a thief framed for a crime he did not commit and is then sent to a futuristic prison with a bomb strapped around his neck. Sound crazy...because it is. Join our hosts Cameron Scott and Marcus Koch as they dissect and take a deep dive into a future that only belongs to those who can survive it.   "Well, it's a six digit code. Coming up next in the dystopian and action mayhem in our 7th and final episode is a rather obscure Italian flick with 1984's "RATS: NIGHT OF TERROR" from directors Bruno Mattei (aka Vincent Dawn) and an uncredited Claudio Fragasso, who were both also co-writers on this cheesefest.  This romp tells of a nuclear bomb ravaged future where most people in the world live underground, but one group of scavengers go to the surface and find a secret abandoned lab plagued with secrets and KILLER RATS! Over this routine card game, the men, never referred to by name until the play's conclusion, initially discuss benign concerns within their gambling circles but soon begin considering larger issues. The talk turns to notions of time, existence, and purpose until the older of the pair confesses that he has terminal cancer. This admission refocuses the lens of their conversation and uneasily points it squarely upon them. That Day Is Coming, Every Day Is Coming contemplates some weightier philosophical issues through the filter of everyday vernacular.
