Erinn and Emily have two totally different experiences and perspectives on this topic! What are the pros and cons of sleepaway summer camp??? There's plenty to chat about and think through, especially if you are a first-time, sleep-away camp parent. 

Sleepaway camp?  I never thought this day would come but here we are.  Listen to Kara and Lauryn discuss sleepaway camp criteria and prep while drinking a few of our favorite non-beer drinks.

Kent Collins grew up as a Monster Kid, feeding his haunted head a steady diet of Universal Monsters and DC comics through the late 1970's and early 1980's. And then horror slashed its way into his life in a big way when he saw FRIDAY THE 13th and SLEEPAWAY CAMP.  Kent and I kept showing up at the same events this past year or two, so I decided it was time to make a proper introduction from one monster kid to another.  For episode #99 we peer into Kent Collins' haunted head for a look at his own experiences as a young horror fan, his love for the film SLEEPAWAY CAMP & his decision to put his money where his mouth is by investing in independent horror.    

The Spin Chagrin, a concept that finds Frank having to watch a movie he's never seen before based on the random spin of a wheel filled with off-the-wall genres, continues into its third year; the twist this year is that all the categories are quotables from Frank himself. In this episode, Frank's category was "I Must Have Fallen Asleep.” For this category, he watched and reviewed the low budget Sleepaway Slasher, a horror film from 2020. He also discusses the horror prequel The First Omen, recently released on Hulu.
