Welcome to a very special episode of Behind the Door, where we discuss the themes underpinning the writing of The Grey Rooms itself, and have a behind the scenes chat with the author who makes it happen. "We're now on a train with three people from three different realms, being attended to by two people from two other different realms, blasting across this crazy landscape and seeing Death riding upon his pale horse... Things have gotten significantly stranger and more complicated than we started..."In this episode we are interviewing with Michael Zenke, the master author of all things Grey, the writer of our narrative story involving a few souls trapped on a train. Discussed is the current season and the new characters involved, as well as a canonical history of the Rooms throughout past seasons.Featuring:Michael Zenke - Master AuthorBrooks Bigley - HostMusic by JM ScherfArtwork by Cassie PertietAudio Production by Brooks BigleyPODCAST CREDITS• Jason Wilson - Executive Producer, Host, Audio Engineering, Sound Design, Actorhttps://twitter.com/AudioTorment• JM Scherf - Musical Composition, Performancehttps://twitter.com/JMScherfMusic• Michael Zenke - Season Narrative, Writer, Editorhttps://twitter.com/Zonk• Graham Rowat - Associate Producer, Social Media, Actorhttps://twitter.com/GrahamNY• Cassie Pertiet - Episode Artwork, Web Design, Merch, Creative Directionhttps://twitter.com/CPertiet• Brooks Bigley - Social Media, Patreon, Show Notes, Behind the Door Host/Producerhttps://twitter.com/brooks_bigley• Hail Scherf - Videography Directorhttps://twitter.com/hailuncensored• Tori Miller - Community Managerhttps://twitter.com/jackalbot_snowswww.thegreyrooms.comDo you like what we have been doing so far? The Game Developers Conference has come to an end and I’ve put together a fantastic roundtable to recap the show. On the show I have Brent Lassi from VirginWorlds.com, Michael Zenke from Slashdot and Massively.com, and Michael Gordon Shapiro from MikeMusic.com (and the man responsible for the Gaming Steve theme song). Mike even sings a bit of his theme song on the show … something to behold. Enjoy! Gaming Steve Episode 71 Program Game Developers Conference Day 3 Recap How on earth did one guy create an MMORPG with a player base of 1.8 million people? The Chronicles of Spellborn is still alive and kicking. What are Cryptic Studios and Jack Emmert up to? What did game designers rant about this year? Why do game developers dress so poorly? What crazy game did Steve Meretzky design at this year’s Game Design Challenge? WebWars: EVE sounds freaking awesome. Why is Age of Conan – Hyborian Adventures going for an M-rating? Why is GDC the place to be if you want to get into the game industry. Finally, we get all goofy after three intense days. Download the show (56 minutes): Gaming Steve Episode 71 (MP3).
