It was during the roofing renovations that Jim and his team made a mysterious discovery. After removing a section of tiles and brickwork near one of the chimney stacks, they found a small doorway. What was a doorway doing hidden underneath the bricks and roof tiles? What was it for? Who had put it there? After opening it up, Jim went inside with a torch and found a small staircase which led down into a room. This room was quite large, and in one of the walls, a framework still existed for a door, which told Jim that this could have been some type of attic space. The door had been removed, and bricked up, leaving only the frame behind as the only indication that something had been there. From inside the house, there was no visible evidence to suggest that the room even existed ... so why was it there? This is episode 68 of the Haunted UK Podcast, and it's high time that we visited two very haunted properties ... Katie has to handle the kitchen, but… she's not great. Luckily, Alexander secretly loves to cook. A guy named William shows up, and Alex briefly assumes William and Katie are a thing, but they are very much not, which is a relief.Katie and Alex go down to the basement to look for a box of decorations. He finds some mistletoe, and yes — that's when the smooching happens.The storm makes it impossible for Alex to get to the airport on Christmas Eve. His parents, now very concerned, decide to come find him. Before Alex can confess who he really is, his parents show up and spill the royal beans.Shockingly, Katie handles it pretty well!
