We hope you enjoy this little *taste* of what's to come in the new year. THE HIATUS IS OVER! New year, new beer, new Pub Dread.
It's opposite day here at Pub Dread and boy is it a treat. Not only has Sam got a more gruesome story than Kat, but she has also somehow found the world's first stout that Kat is willing to admit she loves. This week Kat's life is changed by Pistachio Jones Stout from Pipeworks Brewing Company, and the girls bring you an equally wonderful treat with their melodious, raspy voices. Sam jumps straight into the macabre with the disturbing history of the Danvers State Hospital in Massachusetts, where the mentally insane were criminally mistreated and the history of the town seems to taint the present in the form of a modern murder. Kat takes the stage and begs the question: are ghosts real, or just a manifestation of the human sub-conscience? The Philip Experiment set out to prove that humans can create spirits just with force of will. But did the Owen group create a spirit, or conjure something much worse? In this episode, Skye is joined by Kat and Sam from Pub Dread to talk about two cases. Kat and Sam discuss the strange and bizarre Gef the Talking Mongoose. Gef supposedly haunted a house, singing and bad mouthing the residents. And watched bus workers in his free time. Skye then discusses the mysterious green children who suddenly appeared in the town of Woolpit without any familiar clothing or language to speak. Support the show (http://patreon.com/hmct)
You know we love Aldi pickles in the Pub Dread family, but did you know that we also love our Aldi beer? Take a walk on the wild side and snag yourself a Wild Range Brewing Company IPA and strap in for the ride of your life. This week Kat takes you on an out of this world adventure aboard Spaceship Fucked as she explores the Betty and Barney Hill Abduction. If you've got the stomach for some more twists and turns, let Sam tell you all about the kidnapping of Nicholas Barclay, and the tale of the world's ballsiest Frenchman to ever reach national attention.
Happy St. Patrick's Day! Celebrate your pretty little Irish faces off with some murder and mayhem and a nice tall glass of Pink Cowbell IPA from Off Square Brewing! You'll want to start this episode off by putting on your man-eating bibs and getting ready to hear the girls chew some choice douchebags apart.First, listen to what Kat does best: a horrific tale of child abuse and terrible parenting of the feral child Genie Wiley. You'll want to stomach your way through this story of terror, because Sam rounds out the episode with a Pub Dread favorite: a humorous and well-deserved murder. She covers the unsolved slaying of mobster turned bullethole pegboard, Ken McElroy.
Welcome to the first episode of Pub Dread! Grab yourself a craft beer and get ready for some macabre and mayhem. Kat tells us about an unstoppable victim who WILL NOT DIE, and Sam drunkenly reports on the Gary Demon House. They also consume what some would say is too much Atom Smasher from Two Brothers Brewery.
