PlayStation 5 has officially turned five, giving us much to reflect upon. Has the console lived up to its potential, left folks disappointed, or fallen somewhere in between? We get into that -- alongside new Sony financials that paint an admittedly rosy picture -- before getting into the meat of our show. Two new Sony-aligned games have been revealed, but they've left many potential players puzzled, as neither offering is actually on PlayStation hardware. For starters, NCSoft's long-rumored Horizon MMO is real. It's called Steel Frontiers and it actually looks really nice. But it's only on PC and mobile. Meanwhile, a new Ratchet & Clank game has also been showcased, an online arena shooter called Ranger Rumble. But it too eschews PS5 and PS4, instead going straight to mobile platforms only. What gives? Why does Sony seem half-in on these off-platform initiatives, all the while neglecting their core audience that could give these respective titles the boost they need? Is it time for them to break old habits and embrace a more cogent multiplatform direction that centers PlayStation first and foremost? Plus: Sony's new 27" gaming monitor has people intrigued, Marvel Tokon: Fighting Spirits is getting another closed test, Elden Ring: Nightreign is receiving some much-needed DLC, and more. Then: Listener inquiries! What do we think of Valve's new Steam Machine PC-console hybrid? In any given game's menus, where should subtitle options be nestled: General, Audio, or Graphics? Does ARC Raiders success potentially benefit Marathon? Is Dustin wielding his power over Brad in unsavory ways? Please keep in mind that our timestamps are approximate, and will often be slightly off due to dynamic ad placement. 0:00:00 - Intro0:28:20 - Keep your head up Cam0:33:46 - Is this marriage destined for failure?0:38:06 - Depressed?0:46:26 - LSM power dynamics0:53:35 - Ubisoft halts trading0:57:08 - PlayStation 5 turns 51:13:41 - Red Dead Redemption is coming to PS51:16:41 - Horizon: Steel Frontiers revealed1:34:24 - Ratchet & Clank: Ranger Rumble comes to mobile1:52:17 - Sony Q2 financials2:14:31 - New PlayStation PC monitor2:23:34 - Cheaper PS5 coming to Japan2:28:15 - New Marvel Tokon beta2:31:17 - New Elden Ring: Nightreign expansion2:33:52 - Todd Howard interview2:37:27 - Mass Effect is still in development2:37:56 - New PS+ game catalog games2:41:21 - What We've Been Playing (Ghost of Yotei, PowerWash Simulator 2, Plants vs. Zombies: Replanted, Arc Raiders, Lumines Arise, Dispatch)3:00:54 - Valve's new hardware3:29:09 - Will Sony change their PC strategy?3:34:44 - Gran Turismo 73:44:04 - Where should the subtitles option go?3:46:53 - Will Marathon benefit from Arc Raiders?3:58:46 - Eurogamer's 2/5 review of Arc Raiders Learn more about your ad choices. Highlights from our biggest live show yet! We're thrilled to share our first ever live episode, recorded in September 2025 at The Royal Opera House in front of 2200 Dish fans. Our guest, Jack Whitehall, is an English comedian, presenter, actor and writer - and no stranger to stages of such grandeur. Jack joined us to help settle Nick and Angela's nerves and provide just a little bit of chaos in our on-stage kitchen. The night is one huge celebration of Dish, complete with special guests, a house band (thank you Sous Chefs), a trap door and more dry ice than we ever thought possible. The show starts with a glass of Veuve Clicquot to celebrate a landmark moment before Nick mixes up an old fashioned for Jack. Angela serves an aubergine parmigiana, a Dish classic that proved a big hit for Shania Twain last year, alongside a glass of Prunotto Barolo, paired by the Waitrose wine experts. Jack can be seen in the new Prime Video show Malice, where he plays a manipulative male nanny alongside David Duchovny and Carice van Houten. The role involved some cheffing skills, which come much more naturally to Jack than his father Michael, who is in the crowd for this show. From food likes and dislikes to the Fast Food Quiz under a spotlight, and a goody bag reveal that comes out of nowhere, this is Dish - but not like you've seen it before. The show took place on the same night as the launch party of Angela's new restaurant, Cicoria, situated on the top floor of the Opera House. You can watch full episodes of Dish on YouTube and, new for this season, on Spotify. November 9, 2025 Dr. David Pacini, Professor Emeritus of Historical and Philosophical Theology at Candler School of Theology, leads this three-part series.Christian nationalism has become a common phrase in our public life, but it's often misunderstood. These misunderstandings shape how we see both our faith and our country—and can make it harder to recognize the deeper religious questions it raises. For three Sundays (November 2, 9, and 16), we explore what Christian nationalism actually is and why it stirs such strong feelings in us.Last week, we cleared away some of the confusion surrounding the term—especially the idea that it's simply a label for certain kinds of Christians. We looked at the historical and social roots of the movement and what makes it more than just a political slogan. This week, we'll consider why Christian nationalism feels both familiar and unsettling. Many of its themes echo our spiritual traditions, yet they also challenge them in surprising ways.Next week, we'll reflect on what makes Christian nationalism so appealing to some people, and what its rise reveals about our own longings and anxieties as a faith community. This class won't offer a final verdict or single “right” interpretation. Instead, it will invite open conversation and thoughtful reflection on the religious significance of Christian nationalism—and what it may be asking of the Church today.
Sandra Beck of Motherhood Talk Radio welcomes relationship expert Dr. Duana Welch, author of Love Factually, for a smart, funny, and deeply honest conversation about why old-fashioned dating values are making a major comeback — especially for single moms ready to find real love. In a world of swipe fatigue and ghosting, Dr. Welch shares how slowing down, setting boundaries, and embracing genuine courtship can lead to stronger, healthier relationships. She and Sandra explore why modern dating has lost its charm, what women can do to reclaim their worth in the process, and how traditional principles like respect, communication, and pacing can actually feel refreshingly new in today's dating landscape. Whether you're newly single, divorced, or just ready to stop settling, this episode gives practical, science-based insights on building lasting love — without losing yourself. It's about being intentional, authentic, and unapologetically clear about what you want — and deserve. Tune in to Motherhood Talk Radio with Sandra Beck and guest Duana Welch on Audible, Amazon Music, Amazon Podcasts, Spotify, iHeart Radio, Apple Podcasts, iTunes, Stitcher, Player FM, and Podcast Addict — and find out why going old-school might just be the smartest way to fall in love again.

At the Crexendo UGM, Sam Sklaroff, CEO of Axxess Networks, joined Doug Green, Publisher of Technology Reseller News, to share how his company blends classic customer service values with cutting-edge communications technology. Axxess Networks, a leading provider of VoIP, UCaaS, and CCaaS solutions, stands out for what Sklaroff calls an old-school approach to customer care. “Whatever happened to good old-fashioned customer service?” Sklaroff asked. “At Axxess Networks, we treat every customer like family—from onboarding to support—and we make sure they're ready for success before the first call goes live.” Each Axxess customer is assigned a personal project manager and dedicated IT engineer to ensure network readiness and a smooth installation. “Our help desk is all U.S.-based,” Sklaroff noted. “Last week, our average time to answer was 13 seconds. When you call Axxess Networks, we're here for you.” The company's commitment to service extends to technological innovation. Sklaroff revealed Axxess' proprietary Live Failover feature—an automatic system that keeps calls active even if a customer's internet connection fails. “If your internet goes down, your calls don't,” he said. “In under one second, we switch to LTE with no dropped calls and no extra usage fees. One of our customers stayed fully operational for a week during a fiber outage.” Sklaroff also announced that Janet Schijns, a well-known channel leader, recently joined Axxess Networks' board of directors, marking another milestone in the company's growth. Axxess maintains strong partnerships with Crexendo and NetSapiens, and continues to advance in areas such as AI and vCon technology, with plans to launch new vCon apps later this year. “Technology evolves, but people still matter most,” Sklaroff said. “That's what drives us—service with a human touch.” To learn more about Axxess Networks' UCaaS and Live Failover solutions, visit www.axxessnetworks.com.

The Rev. Canon George Maxwell leads this class. When we ask the question, “What is Anglican spirituality, and where does it begin?”, many instinctively look to the English Reformation. We think of Thomas Cranmer, the Book of Common Prayer, and the Elizabethan Settlement. These are indeed crucial moments, shaping the way Anglicans pray and order their life with God. But Rowan Williams often invites us to look further back, beneath the surface of the 16th century, into the deeper soil from which Anglican spirituality grows. He points out that Anglicanism is best described as a reformed Catholicism — a tradition that holds onto the catholic inheritance of the early church while reshaping it in the light of reform. If that is true, then Anglican spirituality cannot be confined to Cranmer and Hooker. It must be traced to the fathers and mothers of the early church, and in particular, to the great spiritual experiment of the desert tradition in Egypt, Syria, and Palestine in the 3rd and 4th centuries. Rowan Williams describes the desert tradition as a school of prayer and discipleship that continues to shape Christian life today. In his vision, the desert is the common wellspring of Christian spirituality — Benedictine, Catholic, Orthodox, and yes, Anglican. This Sunday we follow that line of thought: to see how the desert mothers and fathers, through monastic tradition, gave Anglicans their particular way of praying, believing, and living. We trace the journey from the desert of Antony and Syncletica, through Cassian and Benedict, to the cadences of Morning and Evening Prayer, to the lives of George Herbert and Evelyn Underhill, and finally, to Rowan Williams' own reframing for our age.
