Social Anxiety Solutions - your journey to social confidence!
In this interview we're going deep. I'm interviewing Rue Hass, who is an EFT founding Master, Intuitive Mentor, Spiritual Life Path Coach and an expert in working with highly sensitive people. We're discussing the topic of insecurity, and we're speaking of where it comes from, and how to release it and reconnect to the core of who you are, so that you can become secure, and experience an unshakeable security within yourself. Social Anxiety Solutions - your journey to social confidence!
“Well-intentioned parents who try to make us the way society would accept are really teaching us to go outside of ourselves for our sense of approval in a sense that “if someone else approves of me then I can approve of myself” which is totally backwards from how we are meant to be. As a human being each of us is born with self worth. I want people to understand they come into the world as worthy and sovereign beings standing on their own inner land.” The words of Rue Hass, one of the 29 EFT founding Masters, Intuitive Mentor, and Spiritual Life Path Coach. She continues: “Life can be a deep, rich, beautiful tapestry of experience if you’re willing to approach it in that way and deepen into it rather than focus on what’s wrong.” In this conversation we explore the highly sensitive person (Rue believes that many people labeled as “socially anxious” have a deeply spiritual quality that she calls “sensitive intelligence”) and speak about how to reframe the way we see ourselves so that we can reconnect with our true Self. QUOTE: Anytime something is a “should” for you it’s something to pay close attention to because “shoulds” usually come from what we expect what other people expect of us and it takes us away from ourselves.Rue's show notes pageMy homepage (find the 12 shortcuts to social confidence here):www.social-anxiety-solutions.comContact me directly: www.social-anxiety-solutions.com/contact/Warm regards,Sebastiaan van der Schrier
I love people who have a natural healing disposition. They see their healing talents as a gift that they want to share will others. Sometimes this giftedness can come with the drawback of many more people than we are capable of helping showing up for help. For helpers and healers it can be hard to create healthy boundaries can be hard. When our boundaries are over run it is easy to simply want to cut ourselves off. In this conversation with Rue Hass we talk about how we can boundaries from a generative and not a defensive posture.
[Note: This is part 2 of our conversation. Listen to part 1 here.] I am guessing as you read the title of this week's podcast you are thinking, "Luck is an odd thing to tap for. They say try it on anything, but luck… really?" I would agree with you. When my friend and EFT Master Rue Hass recommended this as the topic for our conversation I was curious. In the end the conversation turned out to be so fruitful that I needed to split it into two parts. When Rue is talking about luck she is talking about how we access the opportunities around us to move towards our goals. Even though I personally wouldn't use the word luck to describe what she is talking about you will hear in our conversation that I do agree with her disposition. You will find this conversation in contrast to most of the conversation around an attraction (and law of attraction) world view.

In my client sessions and even in my personal tapping I have noticed an interesting internal conflict. On the one hand we want to be seen, noticed, and validated. On the other, there is a part of us wanting to go through the world unseen and unnoticed, because if we are seen we can be judged. In this interview I talk with Rue Hass about this dichotomy. We look at what it means to be invisible, how we end up being invisible, and how it is possible to be invisible to our own selves. We also talk about how we can use EFT to become our more authentic selves which makes being invisible less of an issue.

When I am setting up interviews for the podcast I normally ask my guest, "What is the thing that really gets your juices flowing? It doesn't have to be what you are known for. I want to know what is exciting you right now!" Once we have agreed on a topic the guest sends me a few bullet points to help me to form questions. When I was having this back and forth with Rue Hass she said, "This is something I am really excited about and it is so new to me that I can't even send you an outline." I love getting to be a part of new things! In this interview Rue shares a new technique that she is working with which uses metaphors and having clients draw pictures. It is absolutely brilliant. The technique is simple and elegant and as she was describing it I could see immediately how this could fit into my practice. I know you are going to love this.

Have people often told you, “Oh, you are just too sensitive...You take things so hard...Why can’t you just let it go...What’s wrong with you...You are such a cry baby”? If the answer is yes, then you probably have a sensitive temperament. BUT that is not a bad thing. In this podcast I talk with Rue Hass about what a sensitive temperament is, how it can be a blessing, and how you can use EFT to manage the challenges of having a sensitive temperament.
