The Waterboys' MIKE SCOTT grew up in the '60s in Edinburgh and said: “I accepted the incredible happenings of that decade — with all its rapid evolution, colour, revelations and magic — as the normal order of things".   At the age of 4 he had his first mystical experience and remembers that from the minute he bought "Last Night in Soho" by Dave Dee, Dozy, Beaky, Mick & Tich in 1968 he knew he had to live a life in music. In the years since he has toured the world with The Waterboys and as a solo artist, had hit records with The Whole of the Moon, This is the Sea and Fishermans Blues andhas released 15 albums.   Now, The Waterboys have a new one featuring Bruce Springsteen, Steve Earle and Fiona Apple about to drop and it's a song cycle around the life of legendary actor and countercultural polymath Dennis Hopper.     Mike has been unashamedly open about the importance of spirituality in his life - even when that has been deeply unfashionable in the mainstream culture. He came to the Bureau to talk about all of that, his time at the Findhorn Foundation, Life, Death and Dennis Hopper - and much more.  For Mike and his work, music and adventures Universal Hall   Findhorn Foundation   #thewaterboys #mikescott #brucespringsteen #findhorn #findhornfoundation #steveearle #fionaapple #ladbrokegrove #thewholeofthemoon #dennishopper

Peter Russell is an author, speaker and leading thinker on consciousness and contemporary spirituality. Join us in this compelling episode with a luminary whose journey from theoretical physics to spiritual traditions and meditation offers profound insights. Peter's principal interest is the deeper, spiritual significance of the times we are passing through, believing the critical challenge today is freeing human thinking from the limited beliefs and attitudes that lie behind many of our problems - personal, social, and global. His reflections on consciousness, ego and the essence of spiritual traditions reveal the significance of expanding our awareness in an increasingly materialistic world. Peter shares his early explorations in India and subsequent shift towards Eastern philosophy, providing a fresh perspective on how spiritual teachings can guide us in addressing personal and global challenges. Discover the visionary idea of the "global brain," a concept Peter introduced in the early 1980s, where humanity acts as a kind of collective nervous system for our planet. We discuss how this interconnectedness - amplified by recent developments in AI and technology - holds the potential to both enhance and endanger human evolution. We delve into the fascinating question, "Can AI be conscious"? As we explore the nature of consciousness, Peter guides us through the intricate connection between meditation and self-awareness. His insights into finding stillness of mind and understanding the true self underscore the transformative power of meditation in fostering compassion and awareness. We ponder meaningful coincidences, Jung's synchronicity, and how stepping beyond our ego-driven selves might connect us to a collective consciousness. This conversation invites listeners to reflect on the mysteries of existence and the potential global impact of our spiritual awakening.Peter earned a first-class honors degree in theoretical physics and psychology - as well as a master's degree in computer science - at the University of Cambridge, England. He is on the faculty of the Institute of Noetic Sciences, a fellow of The World Business Academy and The Findhorn Foundation, and an Honorary Member of The Club of Budapest, and President of Science and NonDuality. peterrussell.comLiked what you heard? In the early to mid '60s many Western cities were magnets drawing the young and hip in from the regions, shaking off the austerity of the '50s, joining their urban peers in experimenting with new and radical ways of loving and living. Communes and squats sprung up all over cities like London. But as the '60s drew to a close, there was a reverse movement as many left the cities heading back out into the shires to rry an d buuld a new kind of sociey in the quieter, slower life of village and market town.  Some settled in North Suffolk and South Norfolk, an open countryside of low hills and wide plains with few towns and many villages where a commune movement was established from 1965. But what was like to live in a commune? What was it like to be born and grown up in a commune? NANCY THOMSON came to the Bureau to tell us. She was born in The Shrubb Family Commune - one that was set up in a big old farmhouse in rural Norfolk in 1970 - and, remarkably, one that is still going today. It's a complex tumultous tale  - and at times a rather bewildering tapestry of overlapping relationships and familes, the British class system, rural life, travellers, gypsies and the gentry, encounter groups, blackmail, rogue psychiatrists, lsd - and horses.. #communes #counterculture #findhorn #findhornfoundation #utopia #alternativecommunities #intentionalcommunities #esoteric #hippie #shrubbfamily #globaltruckingcompany #drugs #lsd #psychiatry The countercultural movement of the 1960s and 1970s in Britain gave rise to a surge of communal living experiments known as hippy communes or intentional communities. These collectives emerged as an alternative to mainstream society, rejecting consumerism, conventionality, and materialism in favor of a more liberated, eco-friendly, and cooperative way of life.   The origins of this communal living trend can be traced back to the mid 60s, when a confluence of social, political, and cultural factors created an environment ripe for such experiments. The widespread opposition to the Vietnam War, the rise of the hippie counterculture, and the burgeoning environmental and back-to-the-land movements all contributed to the growth of communal living arrangements.   One of the earliest and most influential British hippy communes was Findhorn in Scotland, established in 1962 by Peter and Eileen Caddy and Dorothy Maclean. Originally a small caravan park, Findhorn evolved into a thriving spiritual community centered around principles of sustainability, meditation, and harmony with nature. Its success inspired many other like-minded groups to establish their own communes across Britain.   As the movement gained momentum in the late 1960s, a wave of new communes emerged, each with its own unique philosophy and approach to communal living. Some, like The Diggers in Cornwall and the Laurieston Hall community in Scotland, focused on self-sufficiency through organic farming and sustainable living practices. Others, like the Freestone community in Essex and the Newbold Trust in Worcestershire, emphasized artistic expression, alternative spirituality, and personal growth.   Many of these communes adopted a back-to-the-land ethos, seeking to reconnect with nature and escape the constraints of urban living. They often established themselves in rural areas, repurposing abandoned farmhouses, old mills, or purchasing inexpensive land to build their communities from scratch. This allowed them to embrace a more self-reliant and environmentally conscious lifestyle, growing their own food, generating their own energy, and living off the land as much as possible.   While each commune had its own unique character and rules, they shared several common principles. Communal living, non-hierarchical decision-making processes, shared resources and responsibilities, and a commitment to peace and environmentalism were hallmarks of these communities. Many also embraced alternative lifestyles, such as polyamory, nudism, or open relationships, challenging traditional societal norms.   As the 1970s progressed, the hippy commune movement faced various challenges, including internal conflicts, financial struggles, and external criticism from more conservative segments of society. Some communes disbanded or evolved into more structured communities, while others managed to endure and adapt to changing times.   One notable example of a long-lasting commune is Braziers Park in Oxfordshire, founded in 1950 and still active today. While not initially a traditional hippy commune, it embraced many of the same principles in the 1960s and 1970s, becoming a hub for alternative living, education, and environmental activism.   Another enduring community is the Findhorn Foundation, which has grown from its humble beginnings into a thriving eco-village and spiritual center, attracting visitors and residents from around the world.   Beyond the more well-known communes, countless smaller collectives and intentional communities also emerged during this period, often existing independently or flying under the radar. These included urban squatting communities, housing co-operatives, and alternative living arrangements that embraced the communal ethos without necessarily adopting the full-fledged "hippy" lifestyle. These communities served as laboratories for experimentation, pushing the boundaries of what was considered acceptable or possible, and leaving an enduring legacy that continues to influence various aspects of modern life.   The legacy of the British hippy commune movement can still be felt, even as mainstream society has largely moved on from the countercultural ideals of the 60s and 70s. Many of the principles and practices pioneered by these communities, such as sustainable living, cooperative decision-making, and alternative education, have been adopted and adapted by various organizations and movements. The communal living ethos has remained alive, albeit on a smaller scale, with contemporary intentional communities and eco-villages continuing to explore alternative ways of living and coexisting with nature.

Singing for hope and freedom was fundamental for Black African-American slaves. It gave them the resilience they needed through the darkness and was the path to emancipation. I was in a singing workshop on Sunday with Dr Kathy Bullock, a music professor, Gospel leader,  singer, performer and teacher of music from the black traditions.  Over the day, we explore the early spiritual music, the songs of slavery, Gospel and African rhythms. She is a descendant of slavery; her great-grandfather was born a slave, so the history is very close. It has been her mission for over 30 years to bring this music and the stories it contains out to the world. Full of passion and energy, she can hold a room with 100 people or more, teach them a piece in 4-part harmony and have them singing within minutes.   Singing for Hope It was sad, reflective and uplifting as we sang the songs written by people experiencing and living the injustice and pain of slavery and ongoing repression. These songs are about singing for hope, but it is so much more than that. It was about creating a shared vision of a better life and making it an affirmation. Singing together is a powerful experience, and living close to the Findhorn Foundation, I consider myself privileged to live in a community where singing together in harmonies is normal and world-renowned teachers and presenters come to share their wisdom and experience with us. The day was about the power of shared music as a means of communication, an expression of faith and resilience. This conversation is my reflection on the day and on the power of singing together.  On reflection, I can see that music could be one of the tools to transcend our differences.        Life Passion & Business Podcast is about finding answers to life's big questions through weekly interviews with guest speakers. The power of community building, our communities are the social glue that holds life together and is so underrated. Only when we cut off, do we notice the gap and then the loss. The podcast explores why community is essential, what happens when a community is broken, and why it is fundamental to human existence. Community is about the groups of people we identify with and support. The word community is a word that is used often in business and in politics but what does it mean?  In the news, we often hear that that's that phrase from the business community or the wider community. Are you consciously community building?    We all make assumptions that we live in a community and yet the description of what that means is actually very loose. Could you put a name or word to yours? However, take your community access away and see what happens. Covid was a catalyst that both created and destroyed our communities. While it was not possible to meet in person, people stepped up and helped each other with food or shopping. However, that separation from our usual groups took its toll on so many.    Change is Coming  On Friday I was invited to a private viewing of a film set in the Findhorn Foundation. It is a well-established spiritual and ecovillage community.  Brexit, Covid and then an arson attack have made the holding organisation insolvent, and huge change is coming. The film explored how difficult the journey has been, and opened the conversation about what is to come.  I am on the perimeter of these changes and I am sure I will get to witness the best and the most difficult aspect of community leadership and decision-making as this story unfolds. But it has made me think about my community and how I need to be more consciously building a network around me. In this programme, I invite you to look at your circles and groups and how can you make them stronger. As Stephen Covey said we need to make time to sharpen the saw.        Life Passion & Business Podcast is about finding answers to life's big questions through weekly interviews with guest speakers. The Shortcast is my ongoing commitment to staying inquisitive and passionate about life with whatever is alive for me each week. YouTube Version https://youtu.be/DlaVlJXJERsIt was in John's last wishes that Leigh Brennan and Patti Silva document the most important pieces of wisdom he gained from walking the Camino paths for over a quarter of a century. This project grew into this docuseries of several short but poignant video messages for Pilgrims of the Camino de Santiago. This is the first chapter of the multipart series. John stated the driving thought behind the title of this chapter by saying,  “The Camino as a Path of Awakening: This is, perhaps, the easiest to grasp because it pre-supposes we are asleep. Every mystical tradition has Awakening as a core theme of spiritual development and no more so than in Christianity. The Bible tells us that, ‘A great sleep came across Adam', and nowhere in the bible is there any reference to Adam waking up! We, collectively, are Adam and we remain asleep but now urgently need to awaken to a new consciousness. The Camino can offer us a path into transformation”.About John Brierley:John Brierley spent his early life in Dublin where he qualified as a Chartered Surveyor and set up practice as Brierley & Co in 1971 later merging with Jackson-Stops. An existential crisis took him and his family to Findhorn in Scotland in 1987 as part of a mid-career break. This was to prove a pivotal time in his life with a reordering of priorities towards a spiritual perspective. In 1996 he convened the international conference ‘Business for Life' where the core issue was identified as the crisis of the human spirit and the search for meaning in life. The idea of Business sabbaticals as an antidote to burn out and pilgrimage as a way to reappraise life's purpose became his abiding passion. In 2000 he walked up through Western Nepal into Tibet to complete the renowned Mount Kailash pilgrimage sacred to Buddhism, Hinduism and esotoric Christianity.t of a celestial alarm clock.WAKE UP CALL10 years of quiet desperation led to a turning point, that opportunity that comes to each of us at some pivotal stage in our life and offers us a time to re-assess our direction. The classic existential mid-life crisis that can lead to breakdown and breakthrough. For me it started in January 1986 with an alarmingly persistent wake-up call. Looking back I laugh at the idea of my spiritual guides working overtime to wake me up. The dream needed very little interpretation but I was so blind that I still could not read its message. I had this dream, off and on, for a whole year before its significance began to dawn on me. I really thought I was going mad during that period and of course, in conventional terms, I was. The turning upside down of consensus reality is frequently misunderstood as some psychotic episode whereas, within the bigger picture, it is simply spiritual emergence and the opening to knowledge of higher worlds. I slowly became aware of a spiritual reality behind the sense-perceptible world.SABBATICALAt the end of that year I realised that something profound was trying to happen and it gave me enough courage to claim a mid-career break. I was 39 and Ireland was in recession so my business partners needed little persuading, my wife and children needed none. She had spent her earlier years in an Ashram and couldn't wait to break away from the mindless social and business circles. The children had suffered a few years of the state curriculum and where likewise ready to experience something more liberating. So a gap suddenly appeared with this amazing potential for change and growth - I was off the treadmill for a year!THE JOURNEY OF AWAKENINGWe headed away in a camper van to ‘travel the world' and during that year, 1987, I stumbled onto the Camino de Santiago for the first time and felt its welcoming embrace. The Findhorn Foundation in Scotland was the next stop along the Way and it was there I realised that i

Finding purpose is almost a universal cry. We all want our lives to be valid, meaningful and worthwhile. But most of us want it to be revealed in a blinding light or burning bush moment. You might be one of the lucky ones, but for most of us, it will not happen like that. In this show, we explore that path to that revelation and give you some tools to start your journey. Yes, like everything, there is no free ticket.  I was lucky this week to attend an event called Finding your purpose. Bit of a fluke; some friends were going, so we decided to tag along. It was hosted by the Findhorn Foundation and featured Robert Holden in the UK with Caroline Myss and David Spangler in the US.   Thousands of Book About Finding Purpose They had a slightly different take on finding a purpose and have been working with it for many years.  What is clear is that there are thousands of books on this subject, and that itself is a clue because finding a purpose or cause is a universal need. One aspect they all agreed upon was that your purpose always happens whether you are conscious of it, and it is unlikely to be revealed in a blinding flash unless you are creating the light.  Another factor of finding purpose is the unbreakable link with meaning, which is about choosing something. We must decide what gives our life meaning, then find ways to express that meaning in alignment with values, and there is the purpose.  It is worth remembering that this podcast started out of my desire to find more meaning and purpose and a reason to live for the next 30 years. On the show, I draw together my thought and experiences of my purpose and give you a few tools to move you forward on your journey to that grail.        The Five Questions eBook: https://lifepassionandbusiness.com/the-five-questions Focus Coaching: https://lifepassionandbusiness.com/focus-coaching/ Support The Podcast:https://www.buymeacoffee.com/lifeandpassion Midlife Survey: https://lifepassionandbusiness.com/midlife-challenge/

This is episode 26 of paranormal stories. This week the books are 'Glimpses of Magonia: A Memoir of My Anomalous Experiences' by Emma Woods and 'Past Lives: The Evolution of the Soul' by Paul Williamson.Paul Williamson, 'Past Lives: The Evolution of the Soul'.The notion of past lives is intriguing. If we have lived other lives besides this one, are we able to remember them? What is it that lies in the depths of our consciousness? Is it safe to go there? Will I find memories from far distant times in history? Are past lives real? What will these ‘memories' tell me about my soul?Do I have the courage to explore and delve into these hidden unknown experiences that lure me?If I go there, I may discover things that change me, that give me a different, deeper outlook about my life. Am I prepared to do that? What about my fears? I do not want to find out something that I would not like. Should I listen to my fears? What if it is all stuff that I make up?To learn about our past lives is a spiritual journey of self-discovery. Do we step forward or go another way? It is up to us. The path we tread is our choice.Paul Williamson shares his experiences based on his work as a past life therapist. He has been doing past life regression work professionally for over 33 years.BioReincarnation is a subject that has fascinated me from the time I first became familiar with it as a teenager.I was born in Australia and spent my years growing up in the country town of Bathurst in NSW and then my teenage years in the desert city of Broken Hill. From a young age, I was very interested in religion, and although I was brought up as a Church of England Christian, I could never quite feel at ease with that as my faith. Then, when I was 18, having moved to Sydney, I was listening to the radio one Sunday night when I heard a broadcast by the Theosophical Society. For the first time, I heard comprehensive accounts about the concepts of reincarnation, karma and the evolution of the soul, and at once this felt like ‘coming home' and was the beginning of a life-long dedication to this subject. From my teenage years, I was interested in alternative views of society, and as I moved into my 20s, I learnt meditation, started exploring self-development workshops and became fascinated by the New Age Spiritual community in Scotland called the Findhorn Foundation. In the north of NSW, there was an offshoot community connected to Findhorn, called ‘Homeland' and I became inspired by the ideals of people living from their hearts, attuning to the ‘God' within and building a world where this would be the norm. When I was 24, I left Australia to stay at Findhorn. I then travelled through Europe, but eventually returned to Findhorn to live at NewBold House. Here I learnt to lead personal development workshops and my interest in the mind and our souls increased. From my wish to go deeper into this, I trained in Hypnotherapy to learn past life regression and in 1988, I became a qualified Hypnotherapist. Having left NewBold House, I then set out to earn my living as a self-employed therapist, leading workshops and conducting individual therapy sessions with people. In the 1990s I trained with Dr Roger Woolger for 3 years, and became inspired by his teachings on Past Life Therapy. I also formed a healing group with Marjorie Wilson and learnt about Spiritual Channelling and Healing. From there, I wrote books, and until now, have had 8 of my books published. In recent times, I have studied the works of Dr Michael Newton and completed my training with the Newton Institute to become a qualified Life Between Lives Therapist. In recent years, I have been travelling internationally to a variety of locations, mainly between Australia and the UK. I have been attending Mind Body Spirit festivals giving talks and offering introductory experiences of Past Life regressions. In addition to these festivals, I have been offering soul based workshops for groups, and facilitating individual sessions. I am now in the process of setting up a working partnership called ‘Soul Pathways', with my colleague, Dee Gutierrez. Our aims are to provide widespread services to help people awaken to who they are as souls.Paul's work bases: My work is being done online, both as individual sessions and workshops for small groups. I am keen to maintain my contacts in Australia, the UK and beyond. So please contact me if you feel a need for my services.Paul's qualifications: I have been practicing past life regression professionally for 32 years. I am a qualified hypnotherapist and a member of the UKGHE. In the early 1990s, I completed a 3-year practitioner course in Past Life Therapy with Dr Roger Woolger. Also, during that decade, I qualified as a Healer member of the National Federation of Spiritual Healers. More recently, n 2012, I became a registered practitioner of Life Between Lives Therapy, with the Newton Institute. In doing so, they offer tantalizing views of otherworldly realms that we do not yet understand. In Glimpses of Magonia, Emma Woods shares her deeply personal journey navigating a lifetime of disconcerting yet transformative anomalous experiences. Her story provides a unique insight into what drives experiencers like her to seek answers in the UFO field.Woods further documents groundbreaking research on UFO sightings, alien encounters, and the paranormal. The intriguing results provide important additional clues as to how the supernatural enigma operates in our world.NOTE: This book does not cover any events that occurred after Woods approached the UFO field. #209 In this episode, I'll have a chat with author, speaker, and leading thinker in consciousness and contemporary spirituality, Peter Russell. With all the misunderstandings in the world of the word “Consciousness” and how to really “Let go”, Peter says that the way we view the two is all wrong. According to him, we don't let go of people or things, but our attachment to them - the way we see them. So when we let go, we are actually letting go of nothing. He believes the most critical challenge we face today is to free human thinking from the limited beliefs and attitudes that lie behind so many of our personal, social and global problems. Join us as we venture into what being conscious really means, the how of letting-go, and how it can open into an uncomplicated relationship to what is right now, dissolving whatever gets in the way of us showing up fully, sanely, and gratefully. Peter and I will also consider together how wonder releases tension in the mind, how gratitude releases tension in the heart, and how a radical practice of letting go, releases the whole being into its true nature - beneath and beyond even our humanity. At the end of this episode, you will have learned with great clarity and depth how you can move your life into greater alignment. Enjoy. Today's convo is a special one with a gentleman I am proud to call a friend. Dr. Jason Hilder is on a mission "to live, play and work with others to co-create holistic communal living arrangements and local community ventures and share knowledge in alignment with regenerative global outcomes." While that might seem like a mouthful, he comes at it with a kind and open heart and we discuss the benefits and potential pitfalls of communal living whether it be in large or small groups of people. We share the belief that on the whole, as people we want the best of our global community and our planet, so we also discuss the need and desire of people to look at things a little differently along with the need for local, state, and federal governments to work towards different ideas regarding our current housing crisis. The idea of intentional communities is not a new one, but there has certainly been some stigma built up over the years. We work together to dispel some of the myths and misconceptions while looking at why they have cropped up. Originally coming from a small crop farming family Jason studied Rural Management and that lead him to work in the Landscape industry. Dismayed with the focus upon industrialisation and chemical reliance, he left that career and traveled to Europe intending to explore and ended up working for multinational organisations. This corporate rite-of-passage showed him how the economic world functions and he learned that it is more often than not, dysfunctional. While there, Jason had the good fortune to visit Findhorn Foundation in Scotland, which was a life and mind changer. Returning to Australia, he again studied, this time the interplay of urban design and urban forestry with a realisation of the urban forests dying under hard surfaces of housing sprawl throughout much of Australian cities and towns. The lightbulb sparked… we needed to plan our cities, towns, and villages to support food production and the regeneration of forests wherever was possible. Water is vital for this. Jason wasn't the only one with this thought, yet the mainstay of urban planning and industry seemed to be stuck on something else – economic return. The experience at Findhorn showed Jason that when people pool their resources and make collective efforts much is possible and, it feels good too. Most recently he has completed a Ph.D. to research Intentional Community Living Arrangements and is grateful for the University systems and support to study something that he is so passionate about and beliefs have many, many opportunities for solutions. Now completed, it is time for practical application and he offers to be of service to groups in co-creating regenerative communities and landscapes. Enjoy episode #23! -- Thank you for watching. State of Emergence

Futurist, teacher, and author Peter Russell joins Terry in person at his home to connect more intimately and explore several profound considerations about this human miracle and our current predicament. In a previous podcast episode (February 2020), their conversation focused on an essay Peter had written called Blind Spot, in which he explores how human creativity builds on itself, leading to an exponential acceleration of complexity that he believes inevitably exceeds our capacities as a species. Then, he suggested we might be best served by a radical letting-go of our efforts to counteract that destiny. In this new episode, they venture deeper into the how of this letting-go, and how it can open into an uncomplicated relationship to what is right now, dissolving whatever gets in the way of us showing up fully, sanely, and gratefully. Peter and Terry consider together how wonder releases tension in the mind, how gratitude releases tension in the heart, and how a radical practice of letting go, releases the whole being into its true nature — beneath and beyond even our humanity.  Peter Russell is a leading thinker and writer on consciousness and contemporary spirituality. He is on the faculty of the Institute of Noetic Sciences, and a fellow of The World Business Academy and The Findhorn Foundation, and an Honorary Member of The Club of Budapest. In the 1980's, Peter coined the term "global brain" with his bestseller of the same name, in which he predicted the Internet and the impact it would have on humanity. Peter has studied theoretical physics, experimental psychology, and computer science at the University of Cambridge, and meditation and Eastern Philosophy in India. He also pioneered the introduction of personal growth programs to corporations, running courses for senior management on creativity, stress management and sustainable development. We appreciated Peter's work to distill the essence of the world's spiritual wisdom and to present it in ways that speak to people in current terms. He is the author of ten books, including Waking Up in Time and From Science to God. His beautiful new book, Letting Go of Nothing: Relax Your Mind and Discover the Wonder of Your True Nature, will be published in August of 2021. Here are some of the questions that Peter and Terry explore in the episode: What is it to let go? And what exactly are we letting go of?  Can waking up to the existential severity of our civilizational predicament serve as an initiatory force, drawing us into fuller presence with ourselves, each other, and reality? If we let go of the energy in us that's opposing our societal predicament, what emerges in its place? If we accept Peter's thesis that humanity's creative impulse is contributing to our inevitable collapse, how can we relate in new ways to creativity as it arises within us? How might our doing of good works in the world evolve in the future as we become more rested in Being and trusting of our inherent nature? How can we practice accepting that our conditional perspectives will inevitably keep arising but that their context is unconditional, radiant, vast, beautiful, and more primary? David is an Ayurvedic doctor, Vedic astrologer, ordained minister, and scholar. He began the COVID-19 pandemic with a choice: follow the US government's recommendation and come home, or stay on the Isle of Erraid, where he had been living. Erraid is a privately owned island in the Inner Hebrides archipelago off the coast of Scotland. Through a non-profit, the Findhorn Foundation, David was volunteering, helping to maintain the island alongside a tiny group of like-minded homesteaders. They eat what they grow, they use recycled rainwater for drinking and cooking, and overall, it seemed like the safest place to be as the world plunged into an unprecedented medical emergency. Equipe 1% Melhor

Since her spiritual awakening at the Findhorn Foundation in 1976, Hope has been a dedicated seeker of truth, healing and wisdom. For 20 years, she's been opening her channel to higher guidance through Intuitive Dowsing, and her Spiritual Coaching with this tool has helped people transform their lives. In 2010, Hope received a series of visions: first, a massive wave on its way to Earth, representing an incoming evolutionary push for the planet, which ultimately morphed into a standing figure "8" made of flowing water. Through dowsing, it was revealed that this moving geometry was a 10th-dimensional energetic tool called the Infinity Wave, sent to us by a benevolent Universe to more quickly and easily transform pain and suffering into joy and freedom during tumultuous times (which are upon us now). Hope then launched the Wave Energy Center for Conscious Evolution, dedicated to applying the Infinity Wave for positive, expansive development of the individual, the community and the Earth. Hope has led many workshops and appeared on dozens of international internet and radio shows, continuing to fulfill her mission to encourage individual and planetary awakening around the globe. ? www.WE-Infinity.com

Dutch author and Chair of the Trustees of the Findhorn Foundation in Scotland and the Center for Human Emergence in the Netherlands, Lisette Schuitemaker, is with us tonight discussing her new book, Childless Living - The Joys and Challenges of Life Without Children.  I eagerly read this book, myself having been part of a club, Childless by Choice, during a time when it was not so popular.  Lisette and I will explore the new stats on who is remaining childless and why.  We'll discuss those who are "bizarrely happy" without children and those who are grief-stricken because they had no children.  We'll also delve into the common characteristics of people without children.

She knew that she needed help and wanted to find healing. She took a healing class which changed her life forever. She found a sense of purpose and had visions came to her. The visions that came to her was about leaving all of earthly things at the shore. The visions came to her so strong she thought she was out of her mind. The visions were present and consistent she could see what was happening but couldn't make it out. Waves come up and down the days. Dowsing rods is a tool that she uses to help her with her spirituality. Through the rods she found a The Infinite wave is a natural flow on life. The wave is meant to focus your mind and body to just let things go. It's a moment of reflection and self healing to put yourself in a place that you control. The visions Hope had she was told to have workshops on it. She was hesitant because she herself didn't know what the visions meant. She was new to the teaching but during the workshops her voice would change low to high. Her rods were guiding her to speak when she spoke a voice change. She is a channeler detonator she was able to see the words that came to her but wasn't able to change them. The Student workshop each had different problems from health to divorce. Once the workshop was over everyone's lives were changed the person having a problem health problem weren't having them anymore the person trying too leave her husband resolved everything. It's a energy that everyone can do just have to let yourself be free. If you let yourself be free and use the infinite wave and using yourself as a guide anything can happen. Join The Higherside Chats podcast as host Greg Carlwood talks Earth alchemy, plant spirits and engineered abundance with Shamangineer. As a returning guest, Shamangineer is back to pick up where he left off last time. Continuing with his "elemental series" of chats, he stops by help us continue on our path to enlightenment of pre-colonial American, their animist outlook, use of fire, & much more. 2:40 Starting things off and surveying the landscape, Greg and Shamangineer begin by discussing the state of the U.S. when it was invaded by Europeans. Contrary to population belief, it was much more different than simply the absence of buildings, but rather a land of abundance. Reframing our understanding is crucial to furthering our education of pre-colonialist America and Native American cultivation. 10:10 Continuing with the discussion, Shamangineer provides several examples of abundance from rivers overflowing with salmon, to treelines so thick a squirrel needn't touch the forest floor. He also elaborates on the miraculous gardeners responsible for this engineering and the techniques employed by Natives to cultivate such a bounty of available resources. 19:25 After examining the ways in which Native Americans used the element of fire as an agricultural tool and a means of increasing efficiency in synergy with other elements, Shamangineer addresses if this can be attributed to a significantly lower populous or true environmental manipulation. 25:42 Although there are many references to warring factions of Native American tribes, Shamangineer elaborates on what it was really like and whether there was a sense of cohesion and inter-connectedness or competition and contention. 32:10 Greg and Shamangineer discuss research of The Great Gordon White that indicates cultures with a stronger spiritual and magical connection enjoy more stable and refined civilizations. 37:00 A big part of ancient Native American mysticism not only involved the use of Ayahuasca, but also the employment of herbs and plants as the bedrock of medicine and healing. Shamangineer details the value of this naturalist approach and offers insight into why these native practices have been cast aside. 44:10 It wasn't that long ago we were living in a lush land of excess; Shamangineer walks us through exactly how we got here. He also begins to touch on exactly how we dig our way out of this hole and discusses techniques such as biodynamics. My guest for today's show is Elena Lipson, a Divine Self-Care Mentor who helps conscious mamas take care of their most important asset: Themselves! Women work so hard in their businesses and in their lives as mothers, friends, wives, etc. But what is it all worth if they are too tired, sick and stressed-out to enjoy it? That's the focus of Elena's programs & retreats. Elena's passion is to help tune the mind, body & spirit into income, balance & inspiration. In this episode, Elena tells us about coming out of the intuitive closet, the transition from corporate life to coaching, and how she incorporates intuition with her work with clients. Keep up with Elena on Facebook, Pinterest and Twitter. Her feed is always inspiring! In this show, Elena references a great book that I also highly recommend, Daily Rituals: How Artists Work, by Mason Curry. (If you don't feel like adding another book to your pile here's the gist of it: go for long walks.)   I also mention The Transformation Game, a game of intention and intuition that originated at the Findhorn Foundation in Scotland. I've been playing it since I was 15 years old and host a monthly game night in my community. Warning: once you start, it's hard to stop. It's a wonderful way to spend a long evening but stock up on snacks and wine!
