Hey Midnighters,We've hit a major milestone: Episode 150 of The Midnight Project is here! To mark the occasion, I've pulled together a set that's packed with power, emotion, and a special focus on some of the most inspiring women in techno today. They come from different parts of the world, but what bonds them is undeniable: bold sound, relentless drive, and deep connection to the crowd.Amelie Lens opens the female energy wave with Never The Same. Straight out of Belgium, her sound is intense, hypnotic, and instantly recognizable. She's followed by another Belgian heavyweight, Charlotte de Witte, who brings The Realm, fresh from her debut album and loaded with her signature acid grooves and emotional depth. These two artists are not only shaping the Belgian techno scene, they're leading it globally. Then comes a standout moment: Mariana BO from Mexico with Deep In Your Mind. This one's already a classic. She blends her classical music roots with a mainstage edge, delivering something melodic yet massive. It's that kind of track you feel in your chest and remember long after the night ends. And finally, Sweden's Ida Engberg closes the set with New Day, a beautiful reminder of how techno can be both soulful and strong.Different sounds, different countries, but one spirit. This is what unites these women, the courage to create something unforgettable and the power to connect people through music.Check out the full playlist here:

Just released research from the University of Otago shows bottom trawling on the sea floor can exacerbate climate change. Scientists say their modelling shows that when heavy chains and nets are dragged on the sea floor, its natural alkalinity production is reduced at an amount equivalent to losing two to eight milliion tonnes of CO2 storage per year. About a third of all the carbon dioxide we've emitted has been sequestered by the moana. Lead author Dr Sebastiaan van de Velde is based at the University of Otago's Department of Marine Science and speaks to Susie.

Hear Bill chat with Sebastiaan Lang, Regional Sales Manager-Southeast for REC Americas. REC Group, founded in 1996, has been a trusted solar panel manufacturer, and a true pioneer in the solar industry for nearly three decades. Their principal focus is on producing high quality, high performance solar panels, (modules), for both residential and commercial applications. An example of their dedication to excellence is the fact that their solar panels will retain 92% of its power, even after 25 years of exposure to the extreme heat here in Florida...and the freezing conditions that our friends "up north" sometimes enjoy. The residential solar panel that is extremely popular today is the REC Alpha Pure-RX Series. This all black solar panel not only looks beautiful on the roof of homes across the land, it also utilizes the latest heterojunction technology. These panels are now available in sizes up to 470 dc watts. (To provide perspective, just a few short years ago, a typical solar panel might have been about 250 dc watts in size). On the commercial side, the REC Alpha Pro M Series and is available in sizes up to 640 dc watts. (WOW)! This is ideal for large scale installations allowing businesses to take control of their overhead, lock in their energy costs, and provide an environmental footprint that reflects the sustainability goals of the company. Both the residential and the commercial solar panels carry a "World Class" REC 25 year ProTrust Warranty. It was fun to hear of Sebastiaan's travels abroad and the journey that brought him to REC. We hope you can join us as Sebastiaan shares examples of the popularity of solar power around the world and some of the unique features that make REC solar panels so unique and popular.Support the show
