Social Anxiety Solutions - your journey to social confidence!
What if the reason your anxiety keeps coming back isn't because you're thinking the "wrong thoughts"? In this episode, Sebastiaan sits down with psychologist Steve Wells to talk about Intention Tapping, a variation of EFT tapping that has deeply influenced how Seb helps people with social anxiety. They explore why social anxiety often can't be "out-thought," why emotional attachment matters more than thoughts alone, and how tapping may help reduce the nervous system's perception of threat. You'll hear why anxiety can become linked to everyday social situations, why resisting anxiety often makes it stronger, and how Intention Tapping can help release the emotional charge underneath social anxiety symptoms. In this conversation, they cover: • Why logic alone often doesn't stop social anxiety • The difference between CBT and tapping • Why anxiety is not just a thought problem • How emotional attachment keeps anxiety active • Why social anxiety is often a protective response • How tapping can help calm the nervous system • Why small shifts matter more than people think • How tapping can support gentle real-life progress • What to do when tapping "doesn't work" right away • How setbacks can become breakthroughs They also discuss fear of judgment, blushing, physical anxiety symptoms, performance anxiety, upcoming social events, public speaking, podcasting, salsa dancing, and why forcing yourself to face your fears is not always the most effective path. If you've tried changing your thoughts, affirmations, mindset work, or pushing yourself through social situations but still get triggered, this episode will give you a different way to understand social anxiety and what may help it shift. What if the way we've been taught to read the Bible is missing something essential? In this episode, Sebastiaan Van Wessem shares his journey from traditional church growth thinking into a deeper rediscovery of Scripture's Jewish foundation. What began as personal tension turned into a theological shift that reframed everything. At the center of that shift is a concept called restorationism - the idea that God's plan has always been to restore Israel, the nations, and ultimately all of creation. This conversation invites listeners to step into a bigger story - one that connects Genesis to Revelation and challenges how we understand the Gospel itself. Key Takeaways The Gospel is more than personal salvation - it's about restoration of all things The book of Acts reveals a pattern of restoration, not just mission strategy Israel's role in Scripture is central, not optional Replacement theology continues to shape modern thinking The early believers understood the Gospel within a Jewish framework The “one new man” requires humility and theological recalibration Restoration begins now, not just in the future Chapter Markers 00:00 – Introduction and background 02:00 – The catalyst for questioning long-held beliefs 06:00 – Rediscovering the Jewish roots of Scripture 10:00 – The influence of Michael Heiser and shifting theology 14:00 – Auschwitz, history, and theological weight 18:00 – What is restorationism? 22:00 – The book of Acts as a restoration blueprint 28:00 – Israel, the nations, and the Gospel 34:00 – One new man and the challenge of unity 42:00 – Overcoming replacement theology 50:00 – Practical steps toward reconciliation 57:00 – Final reflections and future hope If this conversation stirred something in you, don't leave it there. Sebastiaan Bremer and son Tobias Bremer turns photographs—found or snapped—of himself, his family, and appropriated imagery into trippy, dust-laden memories that, through his layered pointillist technique, reveal the subconscious and the real world in the blink of an eye. By laboriously painting his poetic braille over fast snapshots, he slows down time to render hauntingly beautiful interior landscapes—spaces where personal memory, art history, and cultural symbolism converge. He maintains an extensive archive of images, ranging from intimate family photographs to pages sourced from historical flower books, particularly those rooted in the Dutch tradition of floriculture. Carefully sorting through this material, Bremer selects images that resonate with his memory, using them as the groundwork for each piece. His recurring engagement with floral imagery—tulips, roses, irises, and other blooms—places his work in dialogue with a long lineage of Dutch still life painting, while simultaneously reconfiguring it through a contemporary, psychological lens. Once an image is chosen, redeveloped, and printed to size, Bremer begins to draw intricate webs of small dots with white retouching paint across the photographic surface. Paradoxically, this process obscures sections of the original image while redefining others, embedding new layers of meaning. His ethereal markings spread organically, like mycelial growth, evoking both proliferation and decay. Thin washes of coloured India ink are occasionally added, creating visual sensations akin to the colours perceived behind closed eyes. Within his flower works, blooms become more than decorative motifs—they function as mutable symbols, at once seductive and unstable. Expanding, dissolving, and recombining across the surface, they evoke associations ranging from the intimate to the historical, from cycles of growth to the fragility of life. Drawing on the legacy of tulip imagery in the Netherlands—where beauty, commerce, and speculation have long been intertwined—Bremer's practice reflects on the enduring entanglement of desire, value, and transience. His flowers carry echoes of memento mori traditions, embodying both vitality and inevitable decay, suggesting the delicate balance between joy and loss. Each piece varies in its level of abstraction, shifting between figuration and dissolution. The visceral quality of Bremer's work lies in its inventiveness and technical complexity, while his compositions maintain a fine balance between the intricate and the bold. Whether rooted in a fleeting emotion, a resurfacing memory, or the symbolic charge of a flower in bloom, each work opens onto layered worlds—where the personal and the historical, the aesthetic and the existential, unfold simultaneously.

See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

We've been covering what's happening in Minnesota, and the killing of Alex Pretti, all week on The Verge. To begin this episode, Nilay explains why — and why so many others seem to feel the same way right now. After that, the hosts talk about the CEO-studded screening of Melania Trump's documentary last weekend, the disastrous public appearance from Tim Cook, and whether Cook and other CEOs have any other option but to capitulate to the Trump administration. Then it's time for some gadgets: we talk about the super-foldy, super-expensive Samsung Galaxy Z Trifold, the Clawdbot / Moltbot phenomenon, and whether Google can finally put Chrome OS and Android together the right way. ¡Tu voz cuenta! ¿TE GUSTÓ EL EPISODIO? ✨ Dale LIKE SUSCRÍBETE y activa la campanita para no perderte nada COMENTA COMPARTE con tus amigos applelianos SÍGUENOS EN TODAS NUESTRAS PLATAFORMAS: YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/@Applelianos Telegram: https://t.me/+Jm8IE4n3xtI2Zjdk X (Twitter): https://x.com/ApplelianosPod Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/applelianos Apple Podcasts: https://apple.co/39QoPbO

The mayor at the time – Sebastiaan van T' Evre – considered that the entire IT system had corrupted including backups. Starting from scratch, and with the help of suppliers and partners, Lochem rebuilt the bare bones within 24 hours. As a journey in civil C2, Sebastiaan recounts his experiences, his decisions, the frustrations, and his objectives during and after the attack, as well as some lessons for the future.

Hey Midnighters, it's that time again. Welcome to Episode #174 of The Midnight Project. This week's show is a full-throttle ride through raw power and elegant chaos, a carefully shaped mix designed to keep your pulse racing from the first drop to the final fade. I opened the hour with Pablo Say's “Flights Arcane,” setting the tone for a deep dive into dark grooves, punchy edits, and emotional builds. You'll hear Nicole Moudaber teaming up with Castion for a heavy-hitting anthem on Mood Collective, and Adam Beyer's latest on Drumcode brings that unmistakable sense of journey. The Classic of the Week comes in strong: Space 92's remix of DJ Jordan's “Better Things,” a track that still hits like it's fresh out of the studio. There's a unique twist midway through with my private edits of HI-LO's “REESE” and LUSU's “BANG THE BOX,” raw, stripped, and built for this moment. Also on the radar this week: the cosmic force of Joyhauser, the bold tension of Poly Powder & Select Avenue, and a fire closer from Sine2 that lets the bass truly take control. This episode is loaded with exclusives and fierce selections. Don't just listen, feel the tracks move through you.
What happens when a Dutch pastor encounters the living heartbeat of Jerusalem? Sebastiaan van Wessem shares his journey from a seminary-trained, Western lens to a Bible interpreted through first-century Jewish eyes. From his first trip to Israel to the relaunch of KNGDM Alliance - with Jerusalem at its center - Sebastiaan has been on a mission to unite Jew and Gentile under Messiah. But this vision unfolds in the shadow of rising antisemitism across Europe. From street protests to political battles over Israel's right to defend itself, Sebastiaan exposes the spiritual forces at work and the cost of standing with God's chosen people. In this episode, you'll hear how the One New Man isn't theory - it's a prophetic calling that challenges the Church to live as a united testimony before the Lord's return. Key Takeaways First-century eyes change everything - reading Scripture as Jesus' listeners did transforms theology and practice. Jerusalem must be the center - God's plan for His Kingdom flows from Zion. Antisemitism is alive and escalating - from soccer riots to parliamentary moves against Israel. One New Man is more than unity - it's Jew and Gentile, distinct yet one in Messiah. Prophecy is unfolding - growing global hostility toward Israel affirms the Bible's truth. The Church must demonstrate, not just teach - unity has to be lived, not only preached. Partnership with Messianic Jews is vital - relationship precedes mission. The Great Commission and Israel are linked - God's timing involves Jew and Gentile together proclaiming the Kingdom. Chapter Markers 00:00 – Meet Sebastiaan: from the Netherlands to KNGDM Alliance 02:06 – First trip to Israel changes everything 04:59 – Relationships in Jerusalem: building trust before mission 06:44 – Leading a church through theological transformation 12:34 – The Netherlands' complex history with the Jewish people 17:35 – Post–Oct. 7 antisemitism and protests in Europe 21:46 – Soccer riot exposes deep societal hatred 24:43 – Political battles over Israel's defense 27:35 – The prophetic reality of nations turning against Israel 29:01 – One New Man: God's vision for unity in diversity 34:35 – Historical revivals and Jew - Gentile revelation 35:43 – Our role in “speeding up” the Lord's return 36:54 – KNGDM Alliance: global teaching, prayer, and connection 38:03 – Shalom Yerushalayim: praying for the peace of Jerusalem Stand with Israel.
