As we honor or veterans today, it is a solemn reminder that freedom is not free. Many men and women have sacrificed their life, liberty, and pursuit of happiness that others may enjoy theirs. May we never forget the sacrifice they have made.

In God’s mind, freedom is an end in and of itself. It is part of our nature as created beings to be free and not be ruled over- not by one another, or any agent in the spiritual realm, nor by substances or behavior patterns. For many people, addiction is one of the key stumbling blocks that perpetuate cycles of shame, withdrawl, and a lack of fullness of life. This message explores what lies at the heart of all addictions, substance or otherwise, and how we go about untangling ourselves from their grip, so we can step into the full life that God desires us to have.

Change is the easiest thing to say to do, but can actually be one of the hardest things to accomplish. Real change takes commitment to undo bad hang ups or habits. Change is possible. God empowers people with the ability to overcome and change for the good.
What is Freedom? Freedom is not freedom to sin, as some believe, but it's a freedom FROM sin! Galatians Five tells us that "Christ has made us free; Keep your free condition, and let no man put a yoke (of slavery) on you again!" Freedom is forgiveness; it's trusting without fear. When you walk in freedom, there is beauty and hope in everything. Let Freedom reign in your life! Once you get a taste, you'll always want more!

As we move toward the Resurrection at Easter, the question we ask as followers of Jesus is.....am I walking in a high level of freedom? The nature of Christ's Redemption is purchasing us from slavery to the power of sin.
