"Do You Want to Be Set Free?" - Daniel Self - 5:18:2025 by Orchard Audio Ministry
Scripture tells us to 'be like the Bereans'. So who WERE the Bereans, and why should we be like them? Ken Legg sheds some light on this often mis-quoted verse, today on Set Free.Your support sends the gospel to every corner of Australia through broadcast, online and print media: https://www.vision.org.au/donateSee omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
Being set free by the blood of Jesus Allows you to walk in freedom, it allows you to walk in your full identity that Jesus paid for on the cross. He didn't die on the cross for us to ignore him and still walk in bondage, he died on the cross so that we will be fully set free fully forgiven from our sin not partially. The blood of Jesus covers and the Holy Spirit allows us to live heaven on earth. This world is run by Satan it is owned by Satan, and he will do anything to stop heaven getting inside of you, he will stop you from entering the presence of the Lord and into the word of God. But through the power of the blood of Jesus Christ, your bondage will be broken. Chains will be broken. You will be set free from sin right now, in the name of Jesus. I love you so much!!!!
As Ken Legg continues his series on False Teachings today, he'll point out that there is ONE teaching we CAN trust - the Bible! He'll explain how we got the current version of the Bible and why we can trust its authors. A good lesson in Christian history on today's edition of Set Free! Your support sends the gospel to every corner of Australia through broadcast, online and print media: https://www.vision.org.au/donateSee omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
Tribes usually think a lot of themselves, exclusive groups are sometimes arrogant. Even whole nations can be this way. In the 19th century, several European countries felt they were the descendants of the first people in the world. With religion, this can be infinitely worse with Christianity. Critics often say the exclusive nature of it is just unfair. They cite the Christian view that the only way to be reconciled to God is through Jesus Christ, and say that's degrading to people of other faiths, or those with no faith. Other worldviews claim to have truth and a few claim a superior view of the world, but none are quite like the Christian faith. Romans 3:23 says, “For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.” All meaning all. That's the meaning of the verse. And this is offensive to a lot of people. Christianity, though, doesn't force itself on anyone, at least not in the modern world. It's been said that the Holy Spirit is a gentleman, meaning He won't force a person to yield to God. Instead, God offers grace to all who want it. Paul made it clear in particular that in order to be born again, one must believe in Jesus Christ. And rather than see this as exclusive, maybe we should change our perspective just a little and see how inclusive it really is. Many religions claim truth—but not absolute truth. Along with that, many believe all religions lead to God, but the totality of scripture tells us clearly that it is in Jesus that we find the truth, and satisfy the longing in our souls. In John 8:31–32, Jesus said, “If you hold to my teaching, you are really my disciples. And then you will know the truth and the truth will set you free.” So you see, far from being a hateful, dominant view, the Christian faith shows people everywhere how to be free from sin. Not a workspace religion, but one that makes the very most of God's grace. And that is true truth. Let's pray. Father God, your Word is truth. In it, we discover who we are and what our relationship with you can be. Thank you that you haven't left us in the dark about our world, and the world beyond. In Jesus' name, amen. Micah Klutinoty in Week 4 of the Set Free series Romans 8:31-39 powerfully proclaims that nothing can separate us from the eternal love of God in Christ Jesus. Throughout this message, we are continually reminded of the unshakable security we as believers have in Christ, grounded in God's unwavering love and sovereign power. Through Christ's death, resurrection, and continual intercession, we are more than conquerors—fully assured that nothing in all creation can separate us from His love.
This weeks message is by Hilton Greig
Those who are in Christ have been moved from the realm of sin and death to the realm of the spirit of life.
Bitterness is a snare. It's poison we willingly drink and expect to have no effect on us. It is a sure sign that our eyes are not on the cross and the grace and mercy that has been given so freely to to us ... but on ourselves. In this sermon, Jacob Hryhorchuck gives us three ways we can walk free from bitterness. To choose to hold onto bitterness is to refuse to show others the same grace that the Lord extended to you. Letting it go though, that act restores us.

This week Pastor Davide walks through the affects of trauma and how to find healing in Jesus alone.
If we say we follow Christ, we should want to live as he lived Jesus came to serve, not to BE served, and give his life as a ransom for many. Jesus set an example of serving that is meant to be followed, just just admired. If we say we've been changed from the inside out by Jesus, then we should have a desire to give our lives in serving HIM. How can we do that? How can we set an example of having a heart for serving? The primary goal of the local church isn't just to get us here on a Sunday, but to take in what we learn and use it to give our lives for Jesus
Today on the Daily Nugget, Mike walks through Romans 5:9–11 and reminds us that at the heart of the gospel is a Savior who took our place. Jesus absorbed the wrath of God and shed His blood for us—dying the death we deserved. Because of Him, we are no longer under judgment but are reconciled, rescued, and set free by grace.

Micah Klutinoty in Week 2 of the Set Free series Through Romans 8:5-17, this passage encourages believers to live by the Spirit, not the flesh, by setting their minds on spiritual things and actively putting sin to death. Through the power of the Holy Spirit and the assurance of being adopted as God's children, Christians are called to fight sin not out of fear, but from a place of love and identity in Christ.

As an enthusiastic sportsman, he cherishes moments spent hunting, fishing, and retreating to “Deer Camp” in the UP of Michigan. In this podcast Dean tells how Set Free Ministries continues to touch thousands of lives both locally and around the world. He says that a vast majority of the people coming into their West Michigan offices are followers of Christ but who are being held captive by lies they have embraced either intentionally or unintentionally. Ultimately, lies enslave, but truth sets us free! And so many of the people who engage in freedom appointments at Set Free do in fact receive a wonderful measure of God's healing touch. Dean also describes how their Set Free Global division is seeing so many lives come to faith in Christ and growing into dynamic leaders for Christ who are passing His truth onto many more, all for His glory. The stories are truly exciting! Finally, Dean shares how, in our age of growing anxiety and worry, we can find God's peace and joy as we concentrate on His truth and His promise to be with us and care for us. So we can take those scary steps of faith as we keep our eyes on Him.

In our sensually-saturated culture, even the church has begun to question whether victory in the area of sexuality is possible in a Christian's life. Yet, Scripture makes it clear that not only is it possible to be set free from all sexual deviancy and live in purity, integrity, and freedom, but we can actually triumph in our sexuality for the glory of Jesus Christ. In this study of Ephesians 5:3, Nathan talks about one of the central burdens of the Early Church—not even a hint of sexual immorality, impurity, or greed in our lives—what the heart of the issue is and how we can walk in freedom in this area through the Gospel.------------» Take these studies deeper and be discipled in person by Nathan, Eric, Leslie, and the team at Ellerslie in one of our upcoming discipleship programs – learn more at: https://ellerslie.com/be-discipled/» Receive our free “Five Keys to Walking Through Difficulty” PDF by going to: https://ellerslie.com/subscribe/» For more information about Daily Thunder and the ministry of Ellerslie Mission Society, please visit: https://ellerslie.com/daily» If you have been blessed by Ellerslie, consider partnering with the ministry by donating at: https://ellerslie.com/donate/» Discover more Christ-centered teaching and resources from Nathan Johnson that will help you grow spiritually by checking out his website at: https://deeperchristian.com/

"If you declare with your mouth, "Jesus is Lord", and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved." That's it. That's all it takes to be saved. Both in biblical times and today, people have tried to impose additional rules, obscuring the gospel and putting walls where God opened doors. In this sermon, Bob Baulch teaches on the spirit of religion and explains how it can hinder and even hurt God's people. He leave us with a warning...don't become bewitched by the spirit of religion.
