Kanye West's latest social media rant has once again placed him at the center of controversy, this time in a disturbing defense of Sean “Diddy” Combs, who is facing serious criminal allegations including sex trafficking and racketeering. West not only dismissed the allegations against Diddy, but he went further, calling the entire #MeToo movement a "woke agenda" meant to destroy powerful Black men. This rhetoric echoes the same type of deflection and victimhood narrative used by high-profile men accused of sexual misconduct, attempting to cast doubt on survivors rather than addressing the reality of the allegations. Instead of confronting the overwhelming evidence against Diddy—including witness testimonies, financial transactions, and damning surveillance footage—West chose to paint him as a target of some larger conspiracy, making the absurd claim that his downfall was orchestrated rather than the result of his own criminal behavior. Today's Promise: Romans 6:6-7 You are no longer a slave to sin. When Jesus died on the cross, He not only paid the penalty for your sin but broke the power sin has over you. You are free from the chains of sin because Christ has set you free. Satan has no power over you. His kingdom is defeated. When Satan brings temptation your way, you have victory over it. You will still be tempted, but because of Christ's work in you, you have power over every temptation. You are no longer a slave to sin. Live in the freedom Christ has provided.

According to a recent article from CNBC, Americans have been taught that our work is the single most important way to prove our worth. In essence, what we do has been heralded as far more important that who we are. Researchers assert that this mindset is making us miserable and induces high rates of depression, shame, and substance abuse.
