NEW EPISODE ALERT!
God didn't call you to play it safe; He called you to take risks. In today's episode, Chuck Ramsey will challenge you to shift your mindset and parent with a long-term vision. He'll inspire you to take bold steps and speak God's truth over your kids to help them reach their destiny. Key Takeaways Just like the architects and artisans who design cathedrals they will never see, your work as a parent will impact countless generations. Fatherhood is at the core of the universe. Living on the edge is your kingdom calling. Your words are like a hammer. Will they destroy your kids' hearts or be so constructive that it releases them into their God-ordained destiny? Chuck Ramsey Chuck Ramsey has been the lead pastor of Restoration Church since 2017. He and his wife, Candace, have seven children and five grandchildren. In his free time, Chuck loves long-distance running, snow skiing, and competitive basketball. Key Quotes 22:06 - "A father's mouth is the pharmacy for his family. A father's words can heal his wife, can build her up, can release things in his sons and daughters. Jesus taught out of the abundance of the heart, the mouth speaks. When a man says what God says over his children, that's a supernatural dimension that families, kids can enter into." 49:58 - "Jeremiah 9, God says, My word is like a hammer. Then He says, And I've broken your heart with my word. What God's saying I needed to tear down your heart so I can rebuild it. I've talked to men, make sure you understand, your words are like a hammer too. You can destroy, be destructive and crush your kids hearts or you can use those hammers, that word, and it can be so constructive. You can say things over your children that will release them into their destiny. I believe God's a powerful almighty God and He can deliver kids from all kinds of dysfunction. But if a dad will get on the same page with God, a dad can almost single handedly determine whether their child reaches their destiny or not. Now, can God repair a broken adult? Yes. But man, a healthy child that becomes a functional, healthy adult, the sky's the limit. And dads are the key there. Initially focused on planting Pavilion Model churches, Johnson's perspective shifted during COVID-19 as he saw the potential for rapid expansion through DMM. His church has since initiated numerous discovery Bible studies, leading to hundreds of baptisms and the establishment of over 1,200 simple churches. Johnson emphasizes the transition from a church growth mindset to a kingdom mindset, the importance of moving from addition to multiplication, and shifting from knowledge-based to obedience-based discipleship. Despite challenges, Johnson advocates for running traditional and movement-based approaches in parallel, highlighting the unique challenges and rewards of each approach. From the service on Saturday evening, October 28, 2023 at the Restoration Church in Santa Clarita, CA. Rabbi Gary's prayers for Israel:Pray for the MilitaryPray for the HostagesPray for the CiviliansPray for JerusalemWatch complete service on YouTube: https://youtu.be/4jMMRlYLDAI We devoted our time to worship and prayer for Israel. 140 were in attendance and it may have been the most important service we conducted all year. The worship was God centered; everyone was focused on interceding for Israel and the Jewish people. and the videos were moving and inspiring. I invite you to not only view the service, but to use it as a means to continue to lift up your voices in prayer to our God and King in light of all that is developing in Israel and the Middle East. Psalm 25:3 "No one whose hope is in you will ever be put to shame, but they will be put to shame who are treacherous without excuse." Psalm 33:18-19 "But the eyes of the Lord are on those who fear him, on those whose hope is in his unfailing love, to deliver them from death and keep them alive..." Psalm 42:5, 11 "Why are you downcast, O my soul? Why so disturbed within me? Put your hope in God, for I will yet praise him, my Savior and my God." Psalm 62:5, 8 "Find rest, O my soul, in God alone; my hope comes from him. He alone is my rock and my salvation; he is my fortress, I will not be shaken...Trust in him at all times, O people; pour out your hearts to him, for God is our refuge." Psalm 146:5 "Blessed is he whose help is the God of Jacob, whose hope is in the Lord his God." Psalm 147:11 "The Lord takes delight in those who fear him, who put their hope in his unfailing love." Romans 15:13 "May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit." Titus 2:13-14 "...we wait for the blessed hope, that is, the glorious appearing of our great God and Savior, Yeshua the Messiah, who gave himself for us..." Let us not lose hope, and let us not grow weary in praying for the rescue of the hostages, comfort for the sufferers, victory for Israel, protection for Jewish people in the face of worldwide anti-Semitism, and the elimination of the perpetrators of evil and wickedness. Continue to pray that: * The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) and Reservists destroy Hamas, and are victorious against all her enemies; * The hostages are safe and will be rescued, and that their family members are strengthened and comforted; * Civilians in Israel and that innocent civilians in Gaza are safe, and those who have be wounded would recover; * Gaza would be free of Hamas and that Palestinians there would be liberated and restored to their homes; * President Biden and his administration would remain supportive of Israel, and that our troops would be safe; * Jewish people around the world would be safe and secure; * And finally, that Messiah Yeshua would soon return and establish his kingdom.
As a pastor who has planted several other prevailing model churches and multi-site churches, Ron and his team at Restoration Church have shifted to multiplying hundreds of simple churches across Denver! After negative experiences with house church, Ron was not sure about Zúme at first. In the last few years, it has become a part of their church life, locally and globally! Hundreds of baptisms have happened in homes across the city this year. God is blessing them with answered prayers as they hear God, obey, and pass it on. Leading a hybrid model, Ron shares about several leadership experiences that has shaped his movement journey. From pastoring a church that meets in a building, mentoring dozens of other pastors, and coaching simple churches, Ron has seen the difference Zúme has made! From suburban families to low-income internationals, Zúme has been used to cast vision and equip believers. Disciples are multiplying inside and outside the building.
Rabbi Gary teaches the Jewishness of Christianity, In this episode, Gary discusses a Special Worship and Prayer for Israel Gathering on Saturday, October 28th at Restoration Church, 23670 Wiley Canyon Rd, Valencia, CA, 6:00 PM. This 1 minute radio feature will air on KKLA 99.5 in Los Angeles, beginning October 27, 2023, on Fridays during rush hour.
Rabbi Gary's message on October 14, 2023 at Restoration Church, ValenciaShalom Dear Friends,Paul writes, "Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. Put on the full armor of God so that you can take your stand against the devil's schemes. For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms" (Ephesians 6:10-20).These words are a call to arms, a call to be prepared and equipped to respond to the inevitable encounter we will have with evil. Such evil, the likes of which we have not seen in decades has manifested itself by the horrific cruelty of Hamas and its collaborators.Second, we are told that our battle is against "powers of this dark world," "spiritual forces of evil." Paul is clearly referring to demonic hosts of Satan. When Paul says, "Our struggle is not against flesh and blood," he is not saying that the struggle is never of a physical nature, not having anything to do on the human level. Instead, what he means is, our struggle is not only against flesh and blood. We do often have a physical and visible and human struggle. But over against this we are in a battle against an invisible and spiritual enemy, namely, the Evil One and his demonic forces. While the Israelis bring the fight to the enemy on the ground and in the tunnels under the ground, those who know the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob can bring their prayers to the Living God in heaven above, who will destroy the works of the Evil One, and both protect and deliver His people Israel.

Is church planting just a numbers game, or is there a deeper, biblical vision for launching new congregations? In this episode, we sit down with Nathan Knight, author of Planting by Pastoring: A Vision for Starting a Healthy Church, to challenge the entrepreneurial mindset that often infiltrates church planting. Knight unpacks the biblical foundation for seeing planters as pastors and churches as flocks to be shepherded. Tune in for a refreshing perspective that shifts the focus from metrics to ministry. Nathan Knight (M.Div., Southeastern Theological Seminary) is a pastor of Restoration Church and serves on the lead team for the Treasuring Christ Together church planting network. He and his wife, Andi, live in Washington, DC, with their two sons. Did you know that there's a new addition to the ABWE podcast lineup? Nathan Knight is the Lead Pastor of Restoration Church in Washington DC — which is a church that he planted 14 years ago. He now leads a church planting network in the DC area called Treasuring Christ Together, and he recently wrote a book (published by Crossway and 9Marks) about church planting called: Planting by Pastoring: A Vision for Starting a Healthy Church. In our discussion, Nathan and I talk about the premise of his book — which seeks to encourage the planting of new churches, while getting back to the biblical definitions of what a church is, what a church does, and how to define “success” in a local church.
